Probably everyone, I loved the series.

Shane brought it up the other day on the drive home, and I was slightly jealous because he has a better memory of the series than I do.

Once I've purchased my accursed amount of books, my Akane statue (which, with any luck, should be mine quite soon) and a new guitar (getting an Ibanez RG 350 DX sometime in June), I'll have to remember to buy the series for old time's sake.

The situation has been resolved.

1. I've decided to put the books on the backburner for now. Books stay in print for years (and arond 38 of the 42 I need have either been recently published or reprinted).
2. My future investment in a new guitar is in no immediate danger.
3. In two weeks, based on pocket change alone, I'll have enough for the statue.
4. My mother has agreed to front for the shipping (and since I'm buying the item myself, I can get shipping through Deutsche Post, which means I'll have it two days after I order it albeit fo a sizeable fee).

Christ, I need to learn to develop patience. For the past three days I've been in uber-freakout overdrive about finaces and my OCD-fueled otaku desires, now that I have a good plan hashes out, I can finally fucking calm down.

Has anyone here seen "Amaenaideyo!!"? It hasn't been dubbed yet or released on region 1 DVD, so I haven't watched it yet. However, I did just buy a figure from that series - Chitose Nanbu (or Nambu as the toymakers call her). She comes with three different tops which range from full coverage to showing cleavage to full exposure of the breasts, and there are two different sets of Buddhist prayer beads you can wrap around her - one pink, the other gold.
I've also purchased "Robotech: The Macross Saga" for the Game Boy Advanced (which can be played on my Nintendo DS Lite). It's a side-scroller with ten levels, and you can change your mech's configuration on all but the special levels (the ones where you're in a different mech, such as a destroid). It comes with a free mini-figure as well.
While I'm on the subject of games, I've been thinking about getting one of the Final Fantasy handhelds. I'm considering either Final Fantasy III for the DS or Final Fantasy VI Advance for the GBA, but I don't think I can afford both at once. Which is the greater must-have game?
