I watched Perfect Blue today. It was quite good. It seems that part of it is open to interpretation.
*****SPOILERS*****
I think Mima actually was who she believed she was all along and simply had visions of herself criticizing her. And I don't think she killed anyone. I thought she was crazy and killed the photographer at first and kept waking up thinking everything else was a dream, but at the end, I figured that either Rumi or Me-Mania actually killed the photographer. I believe Rumi had been e-mailing Me-Mania telling him that she was the real Mima and told him to kill the "impostor", the real Mima. Rumi was delusional and really wanted to be Mima. I think it's more likely that Rumi killed the photographer than Me-Mania since we see Mima in the scene. Rumi tried to kill Mima, but Mima saw herself instead of Rumi (as opposed to simply hallucinating the attack). So, Me-Mania was real and Mima actually was in a TV series. She didn't have a multiple personality disorder and imagine her acting career. That whole thing about her having the disorder was a dream/day dream that was intended to mislead the viewer. That's how it seems to me. Plus, after she left the mental hospital where Rumi was staying, Mima got in her car, looked at herself in her rear-view mirror and said "I'm the real deal". She was looking directly at the viewer when she said this, so it was almost like saying to whoever was watching the movie "no, she's not crazy".
I'm saying all this because I have a feeling some people see it differently - that Mima was a psycho, she was never a pop star, she killed all the victims, and there was no Me-Mania. That's what I thought at one point while watching it. But I think the viewer is supposed to believe this at a certain point. They want to confuse the viewer.

Not such a "evil villain" in my opinion, more of just a bad-ass rival to me!

Lord Genma (Ninja Scroll)
Meh.

Shijima (Ninja Scroll)
Ehhhhhhhh, somewhat.

Not sure if this is the TV series or the OVA.
I'm talking about the long-ass series. Is he really in an OVA?

Oh, and trust me, the Dead Poet's Society similarities die away pretty early in the story.
I didn't know there were any. I've seen the Dead Poet's Society, but never watched an epsiode of GTO or read the manga. It never interested me. Dead Poet's Society never even interested me.
haha. The guy from that movie is in House.

Victory is mine! Netflix just added Orphen I and II (although a few volumes are missing), so they're around #275 in my queue.

What a ludicrous assumption, plus, a few users here talk about getting anime from Netflix on a regular basis.
LURK MOAR!
hellz yeah. I love Netflix. If they're able to satisfy my taste in obscure titles even a little bit, you know they have a good selection.

WTF are you talking about? It's a hugely popular site that allows you to rent movies. They mail the DVDs to you in prepayed envelopes which you put the DVDs back in when you're done and mail them back (no cost for mailing them back, no stamps). You can get up to 5 a month and it has a great selection. I get the 4-at-a-time unlimited plan, which means there's no limit to the total amount of DVDs I can rent monthly.
Somebody's been living under a rock.

The Berserk manga?
Don't feel like reading it, heard plenty of praise but I'm in no mood for more ultraviolence.
