Did anyone see the Afro Samurai? I thought it was pretty cool. Lots of violence and blood, and the plot isn't too bad. He has the Number Two headband and only someone who has that headband can fight the guy with the Number One headband, and the #1 guy killed his father, who used to be the #1. So of course, all the strong guys want the #2 headband, so they can fight the #1. Weird though how it is set in a futuristic feudal Japan... His shoes have padded balloon type things though!

The action is fucking sweet, the rest is utter shit. I hate hip hop culture so every line they spew makes me wanna puke. It probably will follow every other anime made by America. It will be a different story every episode. No matter how cool the fighting is i can't enjoy it if there is no character development or moving plot. But it's only the first episode. I won't watch it do cause i can't tolerate all that "yo, yo my ni*ga" shit. I did like the boondocks do. But that was only cause it was mean to be funny and was supposed to be different every episode.

Yes, I thought the music in Cowboy Bebop was good. I prefer Outlaw Star, though. I just love that show. I've been a fan of it since I was about 12 years old, I think.

Like that scene from Elfen Lied where the little girl kills some other kids who were beating/killed her dog...I didn't think that was very bad...even if they hadn't been mean to her dog.

That scene was nothing, I was disappointed because most of the people I know who saw it said it was super-disturbing and violent. I was a million miles from shocked, in fact, Elfen Lied bored me to tears.

Today had its ups and downs at Ohayocon Seven: I arrived at 10:00 AM, and because of countless technical difficulties, I didn't get my badge until 3:15 PM. Apparently, they were also shorthanded, so I volunteered as a Gopher, and was bumped up toa member of the Official Staff. That means I helped hand out the badges to everyone who came in after me. I wasn't told much, and nearly missed out on a free dinner as a result. There's no telling what job I need to perform tomorrow, but I'm probably going in early just in case I have to set up a panel/event.
My loot for the evening consists of around 9 figurines, two posters, some hentai DVDs and manga, and a messenger bag. Since I spent almost $200, that will be enough memorabilia for this convention. Day Two features some promising panels and a free pizza buffet lunch, so I'll let you know how that goes tomorrow night.

I just watched the first episode of Full Metal Panic. It seems okay so far. I think I'll watch more of it from time to time.

Yeah, it was pretty weak. I'd say the major weakness was the fact that the dub tried to "toughen up" Sengoku's lines by making him shout "fuck" or "cocksucker" every seven seconds. It got old real fast.

It's not possible to take a loser of Benten's calibur seriously. I thought he was a really crappy character.

The vampire (and his kickass death) were the only redeeming qualities of that episode.

I grew watching Ranma 1/2. I remember coming back from school and couldn't wait till it started.
