I managed to see Samurai Deeper Kyo, and Beserk, and both kicked ass. Beserk's end wasn't what I was hoping for, but it was stil a good series.

Since when did this club become all about DBZ, G Gundam, and Lupin? What happend to the days when we used to ridicule people who'd only seen anime that appeared on american TV?

We still talk about anime in this club. But most of the members here have been talking about the anime you mentioned recently.

I've only seen the first four episodes of Berserk and enjoyed it quite so. Guts' sword is quite nice for crushing people in two. I'll have to check it out after Zeta Gundam and Hellsing are finished with their thing.

Because G Gundam is awesome Wonko, that's why. B) Those days are more or less over now. Maybe back in early 2004 and of 2003 did most of that happen but since a lot of hit anime is being shipped over here on the double[Samurai Champloo for example]it's become harder and harder to burn people on a stake for that sort of thing.

Finished with Gungrave. Very sad how it all happened and the ending wasn't what I expected it to be. The games are in a world of their own, misled me to how it would end I guess. Either way I'd have to rank the series with an 'A'/8/10. Possibly a top ten contender on my list. Makes me want to watch Trigun again.

i would NEVER put DBZ in my top ten. it is so easy to draw, they barely put any detail into thier charactors! it was a good show, but merely because of concept. i know 8 year old boys who can draw exact replicas of any DBZ charactors. (Why should some old guy drawing them get paid so much?)

Also, what was the actual last episode of DBZ?

The last episode of Dragon Ball Z was apparently #290, entitled "Goku's Next Journey". Goku fights Uub, the reincarnation of Majin Buu, in the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai.

i am not saying DBZ is the best but i grew up with it. i actually watched it in order Dragon ball>DBZ then i stopped. I hate GT

That's a pretty weak criticism, the character design is not the only facet of DBZ.

Macross is fucking sacred to me and my friends. One of them even calls people he hates "Minmei", we think it's fucking hysterical, but no one other than us gets it.

GT is not canon, neither was it a Toriyama production.

Same went for Macross II; it was produced by a different director with no support from official staff and look how both went.

YYH is my number one, but I see how you guys like other ones too. I didn't really like YYH that much until I saw every episode (not counting the last one). The Three Kings, and Demon World Tournament saga really made YYH the best anime series out there (in my opinion).

Now now. Don't get so angry over an anime now. Yes, GT was terrible, we all know that. It was made to pretty much milk the DB/Z franchise in getting more money. But DBZ didn't suck, it was grand. It's still a show that I'll watch when it comes on.

Just remember, to each his own. If you don't like the show don't watch it, simple as that.

Well said, you joined this club all of 1 week ago....people like me have been in for longer than a year and don't have close to the authority that you just appointed to yourself, the only people that have that authority are Trivia, Wonka and Tink if she ever comes back LL has lost all my respect a long time ago so I wouldn't obey any order that he throws out.

As for Macross, it was and still is awesome except for Macross 7, Macross 7 dynamite and Macross 7+ I have loved everything that comes from that seires and the Two movies Macross plus and Macros the Movie were also excellent, if there are more movies feel free to correct me. Hell, I've even read the robotech books just because I'm that big of a nerd.

So I got caught up to Death Note again last night and found out that there's a live action movie for it nerdgasams ensued, I hop onto my trusty Ares and find 3 live action Death Notes that have been subbed I start downloading the first two and wait until I can get a preview of them, they were subbed but they were all hard core hentai featuring Ryuk fucking Light who was sucking L. Needless to say I deleted those and started the third download, when I can get the preview t that I saw it wasn't hentai (good sign) then I see the actors from the trailer (good sign 2) when they finally start talking I see subs.....in Japanese. By this point I'm swearing like a sailor with turrets that just cut his thumb off, I go and find most of the files that arn't labled as subbed and it's all fucking hentai. What does a guy have to go through to get his fix of Death Note.

I've been having the same problems as you, I say just wait for subbed DVDs to be released. It may be quite the wait, but trying to download it has been nothing but a hassle for me.
