Nucksta it's all cool. Everyone has bad days at some point or another. I also completely accepted your extended apology. I will admit I was abit taken back at what you put because I never had anyone say that to me before, maybe thought it but never said to me directly. For some odd reason this seems like this is the start of a friendship. Lol maybe it's just me. Anyways, since this is an anime club we probably should get into the anime talk here.

I need some help here. I wanted to check out a anime but wasn't too sure if it was a good one or not. Maybe someone here has heard or seen it before. It's called Magic Knight Rayearth. If anyone can give me tips about this anime that will be great.

I myself cannot remember seeing an anime with the "knight" in it that was all that good if this one is please tell me.

I want to rate the past couple of anime I've seen:

Bleach 6/10

I have heard so much about this that actually seeing it is a dissapointment to me I have only seen two episodes so I hope it gets better.

Trinity Blood 9/10

I actually love this one this is awesome mostly because I like the idea of a "vampire" vampire.

The World of Narue: Vol. 1 7/10

It's ok not as good as some others I have seen but it's ok.

Mirage of Blaze: Vol. 1: The Summoning 1/10

I couldn't even stand to finish watching it.

Meltylancer: Vol. 1: Alpha 5/10

A little worse than Narue but still watchable

The SoulTaker: Vol. 1: The Monster Within 8/10

Sweet, it's kind of trippy at the start and it starts to lose it's buzz at the start of the third episode.

Demon Fighter Kocho 6/10

It's only ok it has a couple funny points witch makes it better

Geobreeders: Breakthrough 5/10

I thought this was quite good it had some good action and cat people.

If you want to know more about any of these PM me.

Ooh, that is now my second favorite anime (evangelion still #1 in my heart). Just saw one episode on AS yesterday. Nothing beats Anime Catholics beating the shit out of Vampires (or Catholic vampires beating vampires for Abel's sake).

LOL! No. Kouga doesn't keep up with the list since he's not a leader here[as far as I know] That thing needs updating though.

At 9/17/06 01:08 PM, Mast3rMind wrote: It's like Charlie's Angels, only with Robots, and mechas.

I've seen a few episode of it. Pretty good, besides, anything with mecha is tops in my books.

At 9/17/06 07:33 PM, Darkangel1988 wrote: It's called Magic Knight Rayearth.

Yeah it's pretty good, manga is the better of the two.

---

I think I'm going to start to read the manga of Shin Getter Robo, Tetsujin 28, Turn-A/G/F 91/Zeta/ZZ Gundam[Probably the original as well, for it is God] Macross, Mazinger Z, Patlabor, Mazinkaiser and countless other mecha series.

For mecha is awesome, the best of anything ever created in the world of anime/manga.

Who knows it might be,me and my best friend met by beating the crap out of eachother over somthing completley retarded (can't remember what it was 6 years ago already) so it just might be.

So I"m in a bit of an anime slump can someone recomend somthing for me to watch seeing as I can't find anything by myself for some odd reason.

Depends, if you like funny stuff, watch Slayers or Love hina, for some serious stuff watch Gungrave or Ghost in the Shell and for some blood and gore, watch berserk or elfen lied.

AUGH!!! I'M HAVING THE DAY FROM HELL!!!
I've got a throat infection, so my voice is totallu shot. I just had to get a cold on top of that, so I'm sneezing my head off and I've got a killer headache.

Just when I thought today couldn't get any shittier, the renovators working on my house decide today was gonna be the best day this week to re-shingle my roof. The sound of the hammering alone was driving me nuts, but then the vibrations from the hammering cause my TV stand to topple over, nearly destroying my PS2 and tearing a chunk of paint off of my 1/8 scale Rei Ayanami model's hair. IT COST ME FIFTY FUCKING DOLLARS AND NOW A HUGE FUCKING CHUNK OF THE PAINTSTAKINGLY DETAILED HAIR'S PAINT JOB IS FUCKING GONE!! IT'S BEEN LESS THAN A MONTH SINCE i BOUGHT IT!!!

They're lucky my PS2 and Asuka model are still intact....now I've gotta dig out my old modelling supplies and repaint the hair before my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder drives me apeshit.

Someone cheer me up, please.

****SPOLERS****
It started out good, but then you have this long, drawn out torture sequence that's pretty pointless. They could've found a better way to get the point across. They really lingered on it. There's no entertainment value in seeing a helpless guy get slowly mutilated like that. I'm all for gore and violence in movies, but this was bad in the same way Hostel probably is, in my opinion. I know you're going to say that the slowness adds to the horror or whatever, but there's good horror and bad horror. Although, I honestly wasn't disturbed by the movie. However, I'm just not disturbed by fake violence. Also, that long ass dream sequence that took place after the main character had the bugged drink was too long and got tired and tedious. It reminded me of the end of Premonition.

I have to give them credit for certain other parts of the movie, such as when you see the girl sitting in the corner, waiting for the phone call and the bag suddenly moves. That was good. Also, I thought the part where she kills the pianist is pretty good. It was interesting how he continued trying to play as she was cutting away at his neck with the wire.
****END SPOILERS****

So, you asked. That's how I feel about the movie. no need to bug me about it. To each his own, agree to disagree and all that jazz.

Oh, heya, asswipe. Long time no see (fortunately). No, I'm afraid I don't like just anything that's Japanese. I like a lot of things that happen to be Japanese and find their old mythology to be interesting. I'm sure you wouldn't understand (as with most things). Plus, not all anime fans are white. To assume they are is just stupid.

At 9/16/06 07:45 PM, Kaworu-Ikari wrote: Hey guys, one quick question, do we have to notify the club creator in order to change our name on the list?

I've went ahead and updated my place on the list both times I changed my name.

On a different note, what is your main source for anime? Cable tv, DvD stores, or Online?

DVD, mostly. I don't watch much television anymore and don't do much downloading or anything like that.

Oh, and motherfucker! I still can't get that last volume of Cyber City! This is driving me mad!

I brought patience because the collars take about six minutes to blow in this one. And it heavily critises how America dealt with the Iraq War and would not. Funniest thing I can think of, my friend once had a poster that he made in his room that had to do with BR 2. It was something along the lines of..."Time it takes before kids are kidnapped, about 30 minutes. Time spent telling kids about the collars and everything, 20 minutes. Time it took for half the kids to die before reaching the island, timeless." It's kind've a spoiler, depending on how you watch movies.

I kind of have a odd way of watching anime I have netflix so I pay by month not per movie so what I do is I ussually have about 20 non-anime movies (ussually my familys) and about 100 anime I went through all the anime they had and anything that looked good I put on the list. then I put them in a random number generator so I have a random order of anime so I get a mix of surprizingly good, old favs., lots of middle, and the ocasional bad one. Thats how I roll.

everytime I hear about health I think of how much of an oddity I am in sterotypes (I think). I am quite fat (about 375 lbs.) and I have like below normal blood pressure. I am in fact in pretty much perfect health the only problem I'm looking at now is proably going to have bad legs and that's probably because I don't care how much I weigh I'm still going to play DDR.

Now look at me. In the Marines, in Iraq, getting only half a day off a week. I'm t\just glad the Hajji Shop here sells anime DVD box sets dirt cheap.

So, can we work some sort of a trade here. Of course it also depends on what box sets they have and in what langugae as well. I don't want to watch a Chinese version of One Piece with English subs calling Monkey D. Luffy Monkey D. Roof.
