I'm can't believe that this would be a surprise to some, around 90% of the otaku in my town are female, maybe that's just me and my crazy country...
Yeah, I don't think that's so uncommon. The girl I'm going out with likes anime and I have two friends whose girlfriends like anime. My aunt likes some (pretty much the Studio Ghibli stuff) and I think my female cousin likes some of it, too.

It started out good, but then you have this long, drawn out torture sequence that's pretty pointless. They could've found a better way to get the point across. They really lingered on it. There's no entertainment value in seeing a helpless guy get slowly mutilated like that. I'm all for gore and violence in movies, but this was bad in the same way Hostel probably is, in my opinion. I know you're going to say that the slowness adds to the horror or whatever, but there's good horror and bad horror. Although, I honestly wasn't disturbed by the movie. However, I'm just not disturbed by fake violence. Also, that long ass dream sequence that took place after the main character had the bugged drink was too long and got tired and tedious. It reminded me of the end of Premonition.
I have to give them credit for certain other parts of the movie, such as when you see the girl sitting in the corner, waiting for the phone call and the bag suddenly moves. That was good. Also, I thought the part where she kills the pianist is pretty good. It was interesting how he continued trying to play as she was cutting away at his neck with the wire.

So, you asked. That's how I feel about the movie. no need to bug me about it. To each his own, agree to disagree and all that jazz.

You white people always love them japs dont you?
Oh, heya, asswipe. Long time no see (fortunately). No, I'm afraid I don't like just anything that's Japanese. I like a lot of things that happen to be Japanese and find their old mythology to be interesting. I'm sure you wouldn't understand (as with most things). Plus, not all anime fans are white. To assume they are is just stupid.

Hey guys, one quick question, do we have to notify the club creator in order to change our name on the list?
I've went ahead and updated my place on the list both times I changed my name.
On a different note, what is your main source for anime? Cable tv, DvD stores, or Online?
DVD, mostly. I don't watch much television anymore and don't do much downloading or anything like that.
Oh, and motherfucker! I still can't get that last volume of Cyber City! This is driving me mad!
