To tell you the truth, you're better off just sticking to the manga. There are only so few Animes based off of mangas that are actually good. Which is why I tend to stick to somewhat original Animes. I kind've lost faith in manga to anime transition when they butchered Love Hina. I also found out that if it's anything that has to do with Viz, chances are, it would more than likely at times be just like the manga, which is a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it.

Yeah it's upsetting at times when anime names and such are changed. But you have to look at the fact that they are trying their hardest to keep it as close to the original as possible. The reason why the couldn't use the origiginal names is because when they said Death God and Soul Slayer in English they didn't match up with the mouth flaps. It would look wierd if you tried to put the word 'Become' over the mouth flap of the word 'Artist'.

Dang I really need to be more involved here.

Here are my Top 5 anime (for now):

1. Dragon Ball
2. Ranma 1/2
3. Love Hina
4. Golden Boy
5. Azumanga Daioh

I would like to be represented as Kimura-sensei from Azumanga Daioh.

I've read them all. About over ten times or probably more.

Well I'm back from another long absence that I tend to go on often and am rearing to watch more anime just can't find any good ones to get into any suggestions. Nice copy of Battle Royale laying in your manga stash Mastermind but you got it in the wrong place =p.

How did you know that was the Novel? I had no where else to put it. I have bad ass little nephews that come into my room and would walk all over my stuff. It's happened before. Imagine this...five kids running into your room with your bags of Potato Chips on the floor that fell off your bed, as they step onto the bags and it's all over the floor now. Anyways, my manga pile continues to grow, I should be getting at least 50 mangas for free by the end of the year from Waldenbooks. I'll just pick up random mangas that seem interesting if they don't have what I'm looking for.

I guess you're right. I'm a Man Who Loves my Shonen Jump Anime/Manga, So I get mad with how they "over-dub" some of it to make it 'funny' and Appealing to American Audiences.

Wow, lots of people here have a deviant account. I'm happy to say that my anime is getting better, and so I'm not restricted to drawing stick figures for art assignments anymore. I started to improve my work when I followed some tutorials on (*believe it or not*) deviantArt. Damn, had to change my name 4 times just to get it right, but I'm thinking about changing it to Kaworu-Ikari (get it? *wink wink). Any thoughts?

There's doujinshi of AMG!, Hell, everything has a doujin or two, but the series itself is not hentai.

First off your welcome Gendo and secondly I do agree with Gendo that Ah My Goddess doesn't contain any hentai. I for one should know being that I write hentai. Sure it may be one of my favorites but honestly there isn't much there to make it a hentai kind of series. The story itself doesn't go deep enough for any real sexual themes to happen. Sure a picture of a boob there a boob here but that's not hentai.

omg man omg to the max

I just finished book 7 of death note number 7 and it has the biggest twist from one end to another that I've ever seen

**SPOILER WARNING FOR DEATH NOTE***
ok the book starts with Light and "L" in a helicopter catching the third kira, all of the members of the task force touch the death note and can now can see rem. Light touches it and now remembers everything and it goes to a flashback. This is when he buried his death note and it shows that he had this all planed out and he wanted rem to give "his" note to a new kira. It turns out he buried his real notebook. Goes back to present and he remembers he has a piece of the death note in his watch, Light takes it out and kills the third kira. The task force now has a death note with both real and fake rules on how to use it. These fake rules state that the person who owns the notebook must keep on killing people every 13 days or the user will die. This clears both misa and light. Light has misa dig up the book to get her memory back and kill L. She can't remember L's real name so she makes the eye trade with Ryuk and halfs her life a second time. She tells light she did this and he understands what to do now. L tries to make the other members of the task re-suspect misa, Light and Rem relize this and Light fans the flames to make rem decide wether she or misa will die knowing rem will choose to to die for misa. Rem sneaks away and kills both Watari and L. L looks up while he is dieing and sees the look in light's face that he was not wrong and light had killed him. the Task force decide to hide the death by makeing light L. Three years pass anyone outside the task force who knows of light dies. World-wide kira becomes more and more praised. Go to the head of the F.B.I. with a older man telling him about the death note and how the japanise police have it. The one who figures this out is Near L's son. The task force gets a call saying that some people have kiddnapped the japanise director of police and damands in excange the death note. The one who makes this damand is mello another son of L. Light kills the director with the death note. The F.B.I. now makes the plea to take the Death note at the worst timeing ever and they decide to help the Japanise police in excange for the death note. The task force get another call Mello says that they have killed the director and have now kiddnapped light's sister.
**END A VERY LONG SPOILER**

That was a mouth full of stuff all of that in 210 pages.

I'm surprised, I thought I was one of the very few people that actually read novels, (minus the book club). Good to know. When it comes to the Novel, the movie, and the manga, I rank them like this...

1. Manga (My reason is that it fills in the gaps of almost everything the creator wanted to add in, and it's great artwork helped the story, for real, some of the best artword I've seen in a manga since Sanctuary.)
2. The Novel (Definetely a classic. Something I'd read again on a long road trip or bus ride. When I first bought this book, I read it whenever I could.)
3. The Movie (I have nothing against the movie, although I feel as though they messed up a bit much. It was a great adaptation, but I can understand the fact that they needed to introduce it in a way where people that hadn't read to manga or novel could understand it better.)

I've seen part two as well to that movie. It's basically a kick the nuts of Bush and the Iraq war. The beginning of part two will kind've get to you, it'll remind you of 9/11 kind've.

-the first volume of Absolute Boyfriend (anything else beyond that doesn't win)

Do you want to join the anime club? If you do, Post your 10 favourite anime and pick a character that is the same gender as you. If you want to see the list of taken characters, go here.

BTW, I just watched the first three episodes of the subbed version of Eureka 7. It's a great series so far.

10. Bobobo-Bo Bo-BoBo

That is a fucking masterpiece, I can't watch it for more than fifteen seconds without laughing.
