I've read them all. About over ten times or probably more. I won't really get tired of them, and since I bought them, I can't really get rid of them anyways. I was once hard up for money so I decided to bring about 40 books that I wasn't interested in at that point to a half price book store, they wanted a $1 for each of them. I wasn't going to go for it. What can I say, I like to read, people wouldn't expect a huge collection from a black dude. But don't get me wrong, I do more than read manga though, I'm learning Japanese, at least trying to, and I mostly write lyrics or stories or so on.

I'm just carious but why are all of you into anime? I've asked some many people that question but they didn't seem to be in it for the same reason that I was. Maybe someone else here has the same interest.

So ,the 1980's version of Appleseed arrived from netflix yesterday and I watched it last night. I guess it was okay. I think the new one is far better.

hmm each piece took me about 30 min to an hour.Ive been drawing anime for about 4 years. the first anime that i used to draw was dbz but now i like yugioh, naruto ect.

I myself thought it was fairly good costume for slightly less than $20, most of the costumes I've made in the past cost $30 to a $150, mostly because I usually make duos( Jay & Silent Bob, Mugen & Jin) so whatever friend I drag to a party/convention doesn't need to get their own costume. But this time around I decided that it should be up to them to get a friggin' costume and not to expect me to make one for 'em.

I prefer Waldenbooks. At least they always seem to have a decent spread out if you live by one.

Yes, and they own Brentano's, another good bookstore. Which, on an unrelated note, has an in-joke among myself and fans of the classic animated series The Critic dedicated to the managers.

Back to a relevant topic, I'm finally ending the hiatus I imposed on my indie press manga Amazing Adventures In Nihilism, the first new issue is due out on the 13th. Plus, sometime this year I'm re-introducing it in a more structured anthology form, it will contain three weekly stories. "Gary & Jim: Bitchy Clerks"(currently the main feature), "Homicide: The Streets Of Green Hill"(a cop-show parody) and Ein Lied(a lesbian love story, very unlike anything else I've written).

Hey Gendo! Good reason why your interested in anime. In fact that pretty much is why I'm interested in it as well. It's pretty cool to find that there is another person out there that likes it for more then just some story line or what not.
