I have two questions about these proposed ideas:
1. What exactly do you mean by "Otakon meet-up"? If you're hoping to get everyone in this club to attend the convention in Baltimore, Maryland, then you'll be sorely disappointed. I personally am not willing to drive more than 200 miles for a convention, so I'd rather meet up at Ohayocon with the members in this region.
2. Roughly 90-95% of the anime I've watched has been on American TV or on DVD, so I don't know if I could put in my two cents if we're all required to talk about fansubs and Japanese broadcasts. Can we really expect people to keep up if mainstream anime discussion is curbed and the obscure anime is mandated?
