Cronicles of the Heroic Knight, thats it. I thought it was pretty bitchin. The first like 10 episodes were based around Parn, who I assume was in an earlier series do to alot of missing back story, and from 11th episode to the end, the series followed Sparks.

I've seen all 40 episodes of Record of Lodoss War, and I agree that it's pretty bitchin'. The first part is simply titled "Record of Lodoss War" and it tells the story of how Parn became the Free Knight in 13 OAV episodes. The next series, "Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight" builds on the OAV and the first season (13 episodes) continue to follow Parn and his friends. The second season (14 episodes) follow Spark, the young knight-in-training as he tries to follow in Parn's footsteps. What I liked the most was "the second part", a side-story told by chibi versions of the main characters; it provides the perfect amount of comic relief to supplement the kick-ass action of the series.

Count me, the great Yu-Gi-Oh, kinda guy,In!

Lesson of Yu-Gi-Oh! number 1.

Yu-Gi-Oh GX is NOT part of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Series. It is a cheap way of the company getting more people sucked into a vortex of death. Stick to the episodes of a series named after a character that have THAT CHARACTER IN.

Once a GX kinda thing happens, the series is dead, unless unofficialy continues on Newgrounds via Flash.

Now go home and study, ill be testing you on this!

actually gx takes place after the original and after yugi was crowned king of games,
and yugi actually makes a guest appearance on gx, but you never see his face, either
way, i hate both shows because if you're a true yugioh fqn you'd know the series started
out as psychotic grewsome suicidal mind games, not gay cards that were later used to
sell merchandise!

Sorry, but when i get ito anime, i get fired up sometimes, did not mean any hurtful stuff with this post, in fact, you canignore it if you like, lol.

Well then say that. Don't make it seem like you have the fucking power over this club. you said my being in charge was all that kept you here, well I'm not in charge here, and I'm not even likely to be around for about a year because of the recent earthquake in Indonesia, and the war in Iraq. So since you got what you wanted, quit trying to take back this club. I was up till 0330 last night getting water purification gear ready to ship over there today, I ate half a can of pringles for the whole day, and this was supposed to be a three day weekend for me. And now that all of my working gear os over there, I have to get the broken crap fixed in a month so we can start training to go to Iraq, with half our unit in Indonesia. I'm not in the mood, and don't have the time to deal with your crap. I have lives in Indonesia to save, and lives in Iraq to end.

So lets just assume this time goes like every other time you pull this shit. You try to take back the club, no one supports you, everyone bitches at both of us, the club gets in trouble with the mods again, you run away, and come back after a few months as a good member again. BAM! All that just happened right now. So behave.

I know man, it blows, I wish us americans werren't such dipsticks, lol.

I think they should get rid of cartoon network and make it into adult swim all
the time, anime 12 to 3 o' clock afternoon, 9 to 2 at night. That'd own!

And sibce it's adult swim, they won't cencer most of the shit, or take stuff
outcause they ove cartoons and the actual station watches cartoons whereas
the rest of the stations that have anime don't watch it so they think only kids
should watch one piece or whatever, so they go in and destroy it!

I hate them. :( Anyway, yeah....

Well Im back from my 3rd Animazement and my 6th con overall. It was a great con this year cramed full of exciting animes to watch, great and very entertaining panels, and a dealer's room chalk full of anime and Japanese related items to buy!

Well my bro and I got there at about 9:45 am on Friday and got a good parking space under the shade of a tree. We got our 3 day passes and then went back out to the car to change into our costumes. My brother dressed up as a Zaft officer (red uniform) and I went as Keitaro! :D

At around 10:00 am i went and watched the newest Lupin the 3rd movie: Operation Retun the Treasure! After that i went and looked around Artist Ally for a while until about Noon when i went and saw an Inuyasha Q & A panel. There we got to ask Toshfumi Yoshida and Michihiko Suwa some questions about Inuyasha and then as a special treat Toshfumi showed us one of the most recent episodes they have just dubbed not yet out on CN or DVD. i think it was called "The great Lake God" or something along thoes lines. He also told us that the 4th Inuyasha Movie will be comming out in August! SWEET! And get this! Sango and Miroku.... are engaged! Michihiko told us that it's possible that a 5th and a 6th Inuyasha Movie would be done in the near future but they were tring to come up with a good story plot not involving Inuyasha and Sesshomaru again. After the panel ended i got permission to suggest a couple of ideas for the next Inuyasha movies. My main suggestion was that why not have a 2nd Shecowin Jewel appear and Inuyasha And Friends along with the origanl S.J. fight another powerful deamon who has gotten possession of it. Michihiko told me he liked the idea and would concider it.

After the panel I went to the dealer's room to do some shopping! Man this years dealer's room was jam packed with people compared with last year's. See some of the dealers that come to Animazement are located in Florida and Florida was still realling from the 3 Hurricanes that had devistated the state the previous year so the Dealer's room had many bare tables. But not this year. man there was ALOT to buy! Everything from Japanese translated Star Wars comics to Tenchi Muyo GXP clocks, to Sailor Moon bottle caps, to Pockey! to DVD's and manga, to Figures and Figureines! And let's not forget about all those swords! Well after looking around a bit i finally bought Stellvia volumes 2 and 3, 3 Love Hina soundtracks, and my best buy a Love Hina Again Swimsuit Shinobu Figure!

After looking around a bit more i looked at my watch a realized it was 1:35, time for the Negima Dub to premiere but it took me a while to get out of the crowed dealer's room so i was a few minutes late for the starting. there i watch episodes 1 and 2. and if you are wondering no they didn't change the opening and ending songs either.

After Negima was over i went strait to another Video room to watch SHUFFLE! episodes 1, 5, 19, and 20. (I love SHUFFLE!) After SHUFFLE! was over i went strait to yet another video room to watch the dubbed version of Gundam Seed Destiny which was very nicly done BTW. Alot better dubbed than the 1st Gundam Seed. And after that was over i went full circle back to the 1st Video room to watch the rest of the Silent Mobius Movie 1 and then the Tsubasa Chonicales Movie. (which was running a few minutes behind)

After the TC movie was over i went to go watch the AMV Contest! There were plenty of funny and very action packed AMVs to watch however there were also too many poorly made AMV's that used the new Final Fantacy movie and Kingdom hearts 1 and 2. which BTW NONE OF THEM WON ANY PRIZES!

After the AMV Contest i walked around for a little while until i made my way back to one of the video rooms to watch Combustible Campus Guardress 1-4. This anime i have to say was cool but would have been cooler if they hadn't put in so many humoristic parts at the most inopritune times. I stayed there in the Video room to watch Perfect Blue. By then it was going on 12:30 Saturday morning; time for the over night animes to be shown! I stayed in the same video room all night until 6:00 am watching Maria-sama ga Miteru ~Haru~ 1-13 (the 2nd season of Maria-sama). I had watch all the 1st season the pervious year and wanted to see how the 2nd season went. I liked it!

At 6:00 AM i made my way back out to my car to sleep for a while.

Saturday 9:00 am I woke up and made my way back into the con. There i went to watch the rerunning of the AMV Contest. I only stayed there long enough to watch the 1st few minutes of it I had missed the previous day becasue of the Tsubasa Chronicals movie running a bit late.

Soon afterward the dealer's room opened back up and so i went and walked around in there for a little while until i made my way to a chair to sit down a rest. I unfortuantly dozed off and missed the anime Green Green i wanted to watch. needless to say i was more than upset about missing it!

So i just wondered around until 1:00 when the English VA's from Funimation had a Q & A panel and then an Autograph session. After that i went on to watch Ah! My Goddess - Sorezore no Tsubasa OVA 1-3.

It was now about 3:00pm and i made my way back to the dealer's room where i picked up my shooping. But i only bought 1 thing that day. i bought the Stellvia girls complete Figureine set. got it for $15. It would have been $20 if the guy selling it hadn't accidently pealed some paint off of them. Thankfully the paint that did get pealed off was on the bottom of the feet so you can't really see it.

From there i went onto Artist alley and looked at the art there for a while before going to get something to eat. After that i came back and hung around for a little while untill i went back to one of the Video rooms to watch Fanboy Bebop. (FUNNY!!!!) After it was over i went to another video room to watch Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu 1-4! (I LOVE THIS ANIME FOR SOME REASON!)

After it was over I then quickly made my way to yet another one of the video rooms to watch Plastic Little (BOOBIES HOOOO!!!!!!) Needless to say i wasn't paying attention to the subtitiles for a good portion of the show! laugh.gif anime-sweat.gif

After Plastic Little i made my way back to the 1st video room and watched Witchblade 1 and 2 and Black Lagoon 1 and 2. (If there is one anime i recomend getting when it comes out it's Black Lagoon. It will have you laughing and cheering in alot of places!)

Response to Anime Club 2006-05-30 01:17:13

I got another quick bit to eat and by then it was now close to 12:55 Sunday Morning! I made my way to the 1st video room and watched Full Metal Panic the 2nd Raid 1-13 until 6:00 am. (GREAT SERIES BTW!) after it was over i went back to my car and fell asleep until 9:00 am once again.

After going back inside i made my way to Artist Alley and looked around for a little while before going to one of the video rooms to watch Kujibiki Unbalance 1 and 21. It was a funny little Chibi anime.

It was now about 10:30 when i made myself to the Feedback session where i recomended a few things to make the con a little better. Like with Video room 2 the curtian they use to put in front of the door to block the light from comming in when someone opens it was setting too cloose the door and many people nearly tripped on it and fell. including myself.

After that was over i went back to the dealer's room one final time and bought my final item. A Tsubasa Chronicales Anime poster! I hung around around there for a little while until 1:35 when i went to one of the video rooms to watch the 1st hour of Macross the Movie: Do You Remember Love?

I could only watch the 1st hour until the Offical Funimation presents the Negima Dub premiere. There they raffeled off a few prizes and let us see Epsiodes 5 and 6 which won't be out until December! that was a special treat!

After that was over My brother and i went to see the closing cerimonies and got a big shocker when they told us that Animazement crushed it's all time attendance recored by over 500 people with a total of 3,257. When the cerimonies ended there was a small autograph session and then i got to have a nice chat with Toshifumi Yoshida.

And then finnaly we left and came back home!

So all in all this had to be the BEST Animazement yet and next year they celebrate their 10th aniversary! So that's probably going to the biggest and most spectacular Animazement yet!

Next fucking rocked. But I'm sorry, there were a few parts of Try that I still liked. Particularly how it semi-merged with the Lost Universe storyline.

***SPOILERS LOOK AWAY YE FAINT OF HEART***

Well, to put it bluntly, Volfield's (or Vorfeed, or Volfeed, or however the FUCK you want to say her name) world is the dimension in Lost Universe. For proof, we can see that...

A: The name for the AI of the Lost Ship SwordBreaker is Canal Vorfeed.

B: Kane Blueriver wears the EXACT SAME outfit as Lina Inverse.

C: In Episode 17, the Lost Ship found by Raily has a name that is practically identical to the name of one of the five Dark Star weapons in Slayers Try, Raguud Mezegis (I think the Ship's name is Raguul De'Mezegis, but it's pretty damn close.)

D: Kane's PsiBlade is almost identical to Gourry's Sword of Light.

E: In the ending credits, you can see a symbol that is strangely reminiscient of one of the Slayers symbols.

Hmmm...pretty suspicious, don'tcha think?

While we're on the subject, I've seen plenty of anime cross-references:

***SPOILERS***

The Four Saint Beasts (Byakko, Genbu, Seiryu, and Suzaku) in Yu Yu Hakusho have the same names as both the four gods in Fushigi Yuugi: the Mysterious Play and the demons in an episode of Inuyasha.

In an episode of Harlock Saga, the Yamato (Argo) from Space Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers) is clearly visible in the background for about 50 frames

Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are linked in two ways: First, their titles contain music styles characterized by improvisation and occupations that involve lots of fighting. Second, Mugen and Spike Spiegel have roughly the same hairstyle and are both voiced by Steven Jay Blum.

I can't confirm this, but I think I've heard the name "King Yama" mentioned as a very important figure in the afterlife of both Yu Yu Hakusho and DragonBall Z.

***END SPOILERS***

Are there any more connections like this?

That's based on Japanese mythology. Neither of them came up with the names. They're supposed to be the guardians of the four corners of the earth, or something.

I don't think Fushigi Yuugi has anything to do with Inuyasha, but I've never seen it. I do know that none of this Suzaku, Genbu, Seiryu, and Byakko stuff are references to other anime. They are actually based on old myths. They are also featured in the Playstation game, Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins, which is one of my favorite PS1 games. Suzaku is actually Onikage in that game, and Seiryu is Tatsumaru.
