Well starting Friday i will be headed off to Durham, NC for an anime con called Animazement. This will be my 3rd ANimazement and 6th convention overall. I'll be sure to give you guys a report about it on Monday!

Lucky you, I went to CapeCon last year, but went on the wrong day(totally missing their cosplay events) and was roudnly mocked by the five fat guys palying D&D while watching KIddy Grade, the fuckers.

Unfortunately, the only convention I was able to attend was Comiket two years back. The attendance was insane, but it was worth it.
I wanted to attend the one this year, but the timing did not match as I would have flown back to Hong Kong by then.

Well, I was gonna promise to do a members list update this weekend, but if you all like the wiki idea, thats perfectly acceptable by me.
Anyway, I am going to stand down as leader, because my current lifestyle in the Marine Corps (not the army, whoever said that) does leave me unfit to lead here effectively. Plus there's a 99.9% chance I'm going to Iraq within the next year. So, since I don't trust LL enough to put the club back into his hands, I'll be around this weekend looking for someone to replace me. If trivia were here more, it'd definetly be him, but I don't see him much.

Well then, I've got good news and bad news for you:
The bad news is that, after ten straight quarters of college, I think I've burned out. I have an Associate of Science to show for my hard work, but it takes at least a Bachelor's Degree to get a job as a chemist.
The good news is that, with no school to worry about, I should have plenty of time to watch more anime and contribute more to this club. Even if I trade my part-time job in for a full-time one, I should have at least four hours a day to spend online.

you know, being a street chemist is always an easier choice than a legit chemist, why not try that a bit. BTW, congrats on the college thing, when are you planning on getting your bachelors? I know not soon, obviosly you want to rest for the better part of a year, but when?

The rule will now read as follows!
5. No talking about fansubs, scanlations, raws, or warez anime games or where to get them. This means no links. It's against NG rules. Again, this will get you kicked out of the club. You may, however say that you've watched an anime, you just can't say how you got it.
Also, all links to the club memberlist in your sigs should now link the club wiki. I am making official.

Oh, and have you ever seen Record of lodoss wars? I hear there's two different series of it, but I only own(and love) the one with Sparks as the main character. Pretty sure ite "record of the brave knight" or something like that.

I've seen all 40 episodes of Record of Lodoss War, and I agree that it's pretty bitchin'. The first part is simply titled "Record of Lodoss War" and it tells the story of how Parn became the Free Knight in 13 OAV episodes. The next series, "Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight" builds on the OAV and the first season (13 episodes) continue to follow Parn and his friends. The second season (14 episodes) follow Spark, the young knight-in-training as he tries to follow in Parn's footsteps. What I liked the most was "the second part", a side-story told by chibi versions of the main characters; it provides the perfect amount of comic relief to supplement the kick-ass action of the series.
