Sorry about the spoilers it slipped my mind. I got the first 4 volumes of the manga from my friend. He said all my questions will be answered in the frist 2. So yeah, they're pretty cool so far, the series followed it almost to the letter. Anyway thanks for the help to those who gave it.

Response to Anime Club 2006-01-28 08:05:38

It looks like theres a naruto club, it seems like all the popular ones have their own clubs.

unlike gundam, even though there are dozens of them, all are inactive. gundam deserves its own club, it has over 15 frigging series.

Well there's also long talks about Love Hina and which girl would be the best to get with. And discussions on whoch mech can kick the most ass. And bitching about how long Dragonball Z, Inuyasha, and Naruto are, and how much filler they have. Other than that, it's vampires.

And "I am" is the shortest complete sentence in the English language. But enough about that; is anyone else here going to Anime Punch, the next anime convention here in Columbus? I've already paid the $25 pre-registration fee, but I haven't entered any events yet - I'm planning to cosplay Heero Yuy again, but this time I'm using the TV series costume (with the black shorts). I still haven't found out what score the Ohayocon cosplay judges gave me on the Endless Waltz costume, but it's probably three weeks too late to find out. Anime Punch is run by Animate Ohio State, the campus anime club.

I just heard Rock Lee's voice on the CN Naruto...my god. It is worse than Sasuke's and Kakashi's combined, it doesn't fit his attitude or style at all.

Anyways, the Naruto manga is getting pretty cool. Naruto and his "tails" are neat and add a whole new level to his character, since now he can't just become all powerful with no side effects.

Don't forget sporadic injections of "who would win in a fight" and other noobery.

Or if making it a club with a larger range of selections, what about a Super/Real Robot Club so it is possible to include other robot series such as GaoGaiGar, Mazinger Series, Getter Series, etc...?

Oh, and Happy Chinese New Year.

It's a shame really, Rock Lee was one of my favorite characters...jeez, it sucks when dubs can't get anything right at all.

Evangelion and Ranma1/2 are the only dubs I've seen that got it right, so I don't know what you're talking about.

Yeah, Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop were good also.

One question...how did Sakura become a chuunin if she didnt have a group of 3? Though she is training under the 5th, so she could have just appointed her.

She's a chuunin? I dunno. Trying to get the Naruto manga on a government computer, using a government line, on a military base, is probably not a smart thing to do, so I can't check up on that. But yes, I'd say the 5th probably made her one.

I've seen plenty of anime with good or decent dubs before- Orphen, Outlaw Star, Rurouni Kenshin, (except for bitch with the southern accent- she's awful) and so on. Some are just so damn awful, however, especially the dubs for the real unpopular not so well known anime like Sword For Truth.....I can't stand the english dub of Sword For Truth. None of the voices match the faces except for the main character, Shuranosuke Sakaki, and maybe the princess. Plus, Shuranosuke's name is constantly pronounced so incredibly incorrectly throughout the entire film. It drives me crazy.

proper pronunciation- like "shoo- ran- OH- skay"
the way they pronounce it- like "shoo- ran- uh- SOO-kee"

the main thing that is often overlooked is that the "U" in "osuke" is silent. Mispronunciation drives me insane.

Yes, well, that's how all dubs assume that "suke" is pronounced, it drives me nuts sometimes too, but i get over it after a funny comic relief moment.

Everyone has a opinion, I thought Hellsing was good till I read the manga which makes its anime counterpart crap. Transformers are a classic also.... people have nostalgia you know? Also its spelt Hellsing, not Helsing like the vampire hunting counterparts.

typo, but he hasnt seen the manga, and he watches transformers constantly.

Happy Chinese New Year to you too. That's a good idea. That would be pretty much up my ally. How about a cyber anime club too, with GITS, Battle Programmer, .//hack, etc.?

Think they'll put anime on HD? Or some component that can make it look clear.

I know blue ray is the next format for videogames, but I sure hope they don't cross over into movies, but I don't think UMD will be taking over. It seems to be like the next generation BetaMax while DVD is the next generation VHS. I'd really like DVD to stay on top for a long time. I don't want to have to switch again.
