Ah, Gigantor. As I think back, im fairly certain it was the very first anime I ever saw back when I was 6 or so. I never really got into it nor think of it as an anime. Just another cartoon for a little kid really. But still, it does hold merit for being the first one I can remember.

Man was I happy when they took off Milk Chan and Cartoon lanet in the morning, but they really could have picked something besides Big O. I was hoping for Witch Hunter Robin since I only seen the series play through once, and on top of that I missed a few episodes. Gigantor.... I have a loss of words when it comes to Gigantor. Actually, I feel a rant coming on. I hate how the stupid kids shirt looks. The patern was so sazily added it irritates the hell out of me. And just like old TV show in general, it isnt that thorough. I just hate how one guy said he couldnt turn off a switch, it had to be broken, and the kid just pulls a sledge hammer out of his ass. I do however like to record the theme sound and torture my brouther with it for hours, thats always good.

SPOILER

I saw a clip of the last Avangilion movie. It was great as hell, I evern laphed at the look of terror on my mothers face when I showed her. Anyways, on the clip Oska was in combat with a bunch of vulture-like Angels and her power umbilicle was severed I guess because her Ava was on its 5 minute power reserve. Oske was able to hold her own, But when the power died, the wounded Angels reanimated and started to rip apart the Ava, whis was impaled through the head by a spear-like thing. twas pretty fierce. If I didnt know it was the actual end the the Ava series I would have ran out the door immidiatle for a copy of the movie.

END SPOILER

You are referring to Neon Genesis Evangelion: End of Evangelion. This movie was in fact Episode 25 and 26 redone to better fit the massive complaints given about the actual ending in the series. The movie I'm referring to is a live action adaptation of the movie. Producers are saying that it will take place up to about Angel #5 and then end. Asuka Langhley Sohryu is being changed to Kate Rose and Rei Ayananami is being changed to Ray something. The movie doe not take place in New Tokyo as in the anime, but a futuristic city. NERV is still in the movie and concept artists have drawn NERV HQ almost perfectly. Now we have to see who directs this thing. There is rumor that the people who voiced Asuka and Shinji in the English version are penning the script for the movie. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I didnt read any of your posts when I posted mime until afterwards, It was merely coinsidence that we were talking about the same anime. A friend of mine found an anime club somewhere and brought home an anime sampler DVD, Zatch Bell poster, and a Mugen bandana for me. it hap clips for both Evangilion animated movies, the Guyver(with suck ass voice acting in my oppinion), street fighter Alpha, dead leaves, Gits(both series and the first movie),perfect blue, and atleast 10 other things I cant remember at the moment.

I saw a movie poster for a live action Cowboy bebop that was suposed to come out in 2003, what ever happened to that, does anyone know?

Yeah, you're thinking of Animes like Inuyasha. Not alll Tv series are like that.

Look, Im sorry i have to insult what you stand for but most Anime is utter shit. Someone, tell me what the Best movies are. Not movies associated with any series whatsoever, movies that stand alone and are great, with no continuation or previous knowlege of a plot required.

Can anyone offer up any recomendations? I only want to waste my time on the real cream of the crop.
Wtach Ghost In The Shell, Ghost In the Shell 2,

see, If they made a sequel thats probabaly not a movie that comes full circle on its own

Neon Genesis Evangelion Death & Rebirth, Neon Genesis Evngelion: End of Evangelion, and Some of the Slayers movies

and tbe rest o\f these "recomendations" are chunks of series as well, particularly the evangelion series.

Well, they did make a series of Ghost In The Shell which was quite good.

Because they like to piss people off or because they didnt know about it, would be my guess.

Yeah, the second movie was utterly pointless.

How about Read or Die the Movie. I didnt even know there was a series for a while, and I understood it perfectly. Wrath of the Ninja is also ptretty good.

Ok I have one question. I know when Gendo got his head bitten off by Eva Unit 01 was because it was his retribution for makiing Shinji suffer, by why did he have his soul joined in Lilith's Egg like that? Why couldn't he have just exploded into LCL like everyone else?

First, spoiler alert there for those who have not yet watched "End of Evangelion".

As for your question, it's obvious that Gainax needed some time to explain Gendou's cold and harsh ways towards his own son, and that small opportunity was so.

From what I've heard, the original Japanese title translates directly into "Detective Conan", but someone thought that it would be too easy to confuse this anime with "Conan the Barbarian", so they changed the English title to "Case Closed".

Wait...

Wasn't "Conan the Barbarian" called "Conan; Boy from the future"? Heck, it's the first time I heard someone refer to it as "Conan the Barbarian".

Conan the Barbarian is a movie made in the U.S. which stared the "governator" and James Earl Jones. It has nothing to do with the future and nothing to do with detectives. My dad loves that movie with a passion.

I can't remember. I get confused between the anime and the manga sometimes. Lemme se whats the last episode I have. Episode 119 entitled "Mistake! A New Enemy" Dog boy starts his fight with the twins, shikamaru and the cursing lady were about to start, and then bone boy showed up for the first time in front of Naruto. Please excuse me, it's been so long I can't remember most of the names.

You'd probably like Bleach then. Plenty of sword action with things and people getting sliced and blown to hell and a bit of comedy in the mix.

Bleach? Yes, I started that, and it was good. But I'd still have to go catch up on it. And dad didsomething to the computer while I was gone and it doesn't like the internet anymore, so I'm not sure I'd be able to get any anime.

I would suggest Blood +, but that's doubtful if you didn't like the OVA. Then there's Black Cat to suggest since it looks like the coolness of Get Backers. If you want underrated anime, go for Monster. Best underrated anime of today's times.
