It was a total sham compared to the well-crafted and UNDERSTANDABLE GITS:SAC series.
You thought of it that way? I thought it was a great movie.

i thought SAC was like a different ending...like completely separate from the movies, cause if that's true, then SAC and GITS 2 are supposed to be different...

True the animeated version of Negima started off very poor. But Ken Akamatsu himself interviened and from about ep 12 on the animation quality got better. There is rumor that a 2nd season is planned. But it's only a rumor. But given how long the Manga is going to be It's probably a seft bet that it there will be a 2nd season.

ANYWAYS, FINALLY finished watching Dai-Guard.
I'll make sure to review it over the weekend or something.
That's when I'll mention the huge similarity between it and Evangelion.

Okay, since some people don't really understand alot of G.I.T.S. related matters.

The first movie, what spun off the S.A.C series is pretty much Section 9 in it's early years. You will see some of the key characters and as S.A.C. comes around which is a few years after the first movie as you can tell by seeing the newer characters in it. Innocence is supposed to take place sometime during the S.A.C. series from what I've read. Something along the lines that they were going to make it a strech of 2 to 3 episodes, or something along those lines.

i turned 19!!! two years left!!!

Congratulations, I've been 19 for a few months now so welcome to the club.

Do you remeber seeing Giant Robot Week on Toonami a few years back, they ran two episodes of both of those series, Gigantor and one other series that I can't think off of the top of my head.

Ugh! I can't stand Gigantor- especially that theme song; "Gigaaaaantooooor!" At least I find most other mech anime I've seen to be okay, like Gundam Wing, Gundam 08th MS Team, G Gundam, and sometimes Big-O, I guess. I still haven't gotten into that particular genre, but I don't count Blue Gender. I like that show, but it's just different.

I was thinking about checking out Hades Project Zeorymer, Gasaraki, and maybe Megazone 23 since I read that it was good for an 80's production- long before the Matrix, which apparently had a similar theme. The whole "is it real or is it a simulation/dream?" thing. I know Hades Project Zeorymer is only 4 episodes, so I'll probably buy it eventually, but I don't know how long the other 2 are. If they are stretched over any more than 3 or 4 DVDs, then I think the only way I'd see these 2 shows is if I can find them really cheap, in my local video rental store, on television, or at a friend's house. I don't want to pay a lot of money for them, but I also don't like to purchase a mere fraction of any series. I always try to get the entire thing. The only show I haven't completed yet is Lupin the Third.

Well, out of these three, Gasaraki, Hades Project Zeorymer, and Megazone 23, which do you guys think is the best? Probably Gasaraki, right?

He's an idiot! That's why! Anyway, I presonally found Dragon Ball better than the other series. It didn't drag on as much, and It's more teen oriented.

Man, you know you're an asshole when you've posted about how much you hate the subject of a topic, while using a smartass attitude, with no sign of respect towards other people's tastes, more times than you can count. He doesn't seem to favor the phrase, "I don't particularly care for it". What sucks is there's a number of NG members that fit that description.

I finally finished the 6 Akira mangas. It end pretty similar to the movie...but still doesnt explain all that happened. It doesnt matter though, because the basic explanation was fine. Pretty sweet ending too, with them riding off on their motor bikes and the little monument to Akira.

SAC is built on kickass art and film direction, throw in a kickin sound track, lotsa guns, and a cute comic relief character in the form of a talkin tank. This shit just comes together like Jesus and grace, and I'm willing to bust out the cash to get it in my DVD player legally. However, SAC is a bit dumbed down at certain points in order to fit in action and fun, but I didn't mind at all.

Congratulations, I've been 19 for a few months now so welcome to the club.

I hate anime TV series, with their never ending mindless plots with people traveling by foot across Japan, 12 frames per second animation.

However, Anime Movies that come full circle within two hours and are over, for me to never hear of the charachters again, are very nice. Movies like "Princess Mononoke" and "Spirited Away"

there are a few good anime films, but 95% seem to be total crap.

Can anyone offer up any recomendations? I only want to waste my time on the real cream of the crop.
