You just reminded me - I really need to clean my stuff up. At this point I can literally slide out of bed down a pile of papers and clothes.

Anyway, I do like my tshirts. The geekier, the better. I'll generally go with short sleeved shirts or jackets over them, or both. And long-sleeved shirts with for less casual situations, but still with a geeky t-shirt as a backup. I usually spend all of the money in my PayPal on shirts from web-sites which only about three people in Lancashire will get, so I try to get as much wear out of them as possible.

The internet shirts in my wardrobe are fairly limited actually.
Tankman parachuting, Newgrounds Black, Megatokyo NPC and something from a webcomic stall in London who's name I can't remember with a fire axe on it stating "In case of fire, break glass", with 'fire' scribbled out and 'zombies' written over it. Tempted to get an XKCD hoodie.

A £140 ($280) gouge where my fanboy organs used to be...
So I placed my preorder for the six month late European version of Rock Band against my better judgement. I feel almost happy I'm saving £40 off the RRP...

I'm worried the VG forum isn't more... up in arms over it.

If I do end up dragging a console down for August, there will be a no shoes rule for the drums and an enforced policy of 'if you can't ban me, your first turn on the game WILL be on the vocals...'

Wardrobe

I have pretty much no shirts from the internet. I have a fair bit of Trailer Park Boys shirts (look nice and are humourous) and picked up a Guitar Hero 3 shirt yesterday (ya, I know, but it looks good, and I'm a fanboy). Beyond that, it's lots of solid-coloured, long-sleeve T-shirts. Also, I don't own shorts. Only pants.

Super-pricey Rock Band

Kayn, I spent around $250 to get a copy from eBay (just came out, wasn't in Canada yet), and while it's expensive, I can say it's completely worth it. The game is amazing, especially when you get a group of people going on it. The price they're charging over there for it is very steep, but as I said, it's awesome, and the library of songs (in-game and downloadable) is very nice, with someone for literally everyone.

Which is great, because as an insane hermit I have all those imaginary friends to play it with. Online play will spare some of that pain, but having to learn to sing and guitar/drum at the same time will be one of those things I'll have to master if I want to do the main mode.

$250 in Canada though? Ouch... wouldn't it have been cheaper to get a train to New York and buy it from a Walmart there?

It's only $180 in Canada for the bundle I believe, but it came out in the U.S. before Canada, and I was impatient, so I ordered a copy off of eBay, and that's what it cost. Kind of sucks that my drum set doesn't register some hits, and the replacement I got sent to me was even worse. Also, my kick pedal is now broken, which also sucks. I'm holding off on spending $80 for a new set though.

As for singing and guitar/drumming at the same time, it's amazing fun. I've started doing it, and it may seem the loner-ish thing to do (really), but it's fun nonetheless, and hard as hell if you don't know the songs :P

Kickball Tournament
For comic-con or PAX this year I am going to try to get a kickball competition going between Flash devs and others, anyone think this is a good idea, or would you rather play another game? I think Kickball is pretty universal but there are other good games such as dodgeball or soccer.

Ultimate Frisbee FTW

I just realized I should probably go to PAX, seeing as I have to move out to the seattle area in the beginning of august, and PAX is at the end of august.

I used to play it from when I was 5 till 11 or so. Then I stopped. Now people have started playing it at school and think they're great. I'm yet to unleash my skills on them.

We're doing it in gym class right now, and like in volleyball height has a major advantage, so I can actually be pwnage at it without being too physically fit.

I'd suck as a jockey though.

They locked down my school today and searched it for drugs, I was in Jazz Combo at the moment and we thought it was the same thing as a code white so we locked ourselves in Mr. Kennedy's office with the lights off. Turns out we didn't need to keep the lights off and not talk, we just had to stay in the room with the doors locked. It was a fun experience. We told bad jokes the whole time.

A bunch of people were suspended for having drugs or alcohol in their lockers or cars.

BTW here's a racist joke, I am in no way a racist, and I feel horrible for laughing at this, but it must be shared:

Why do african americans only have nightmares?

Because we shot the only one who ever had a dream.

Meh, my dad's from Liverpool, so I've got a tonne of scouse jokes which I'm legally entitled to tell without being prejudiced :P

What do you call a scouser in a formal suit?

The accused.

What do you call a scouser in a detatched?

A burglar.

And so on...

It's like baseball, and dodgeball, the pitcher rolls the ball to the plate, the hitter kicks the ball as far as they can, if it's caught they're out, then they run the bases, and in order to get someone out, you don't just tag them, you throw the kickball at them! Haven't played that in forever...

Also, if scouse is a slang term for a thief, isn't it different then telling racist jokes? After all, someone can choose to be a thief.

Thanks sweetskater :P, and I dunno if vengence is being mean to everyone, since I just got that from him and I havent heard anything else but...

RE: Wardrobe

Ehh, my wardrobe is pretty plain, a bunch of shirts I hate so I wear a t-shirt all day, a "vote for hatchetman" shirt (which I'm wearing right now, and I love it...and Hatchetman is the logo for Psychopathic Records, if you didn't know) and a Blaze Ya Dead Homie T-Shirt (Psychopathic Artist)

RE: PAX

Dammit, I wish I could go to PAX, sounds fun. But unfortunately I am only 13 and my parents wouldn't let me go to a party with a bunch of drug people that I met on the internet. And I defiantly couldn't show them the forums to show that these people aren't bad...they'd just think you guys are worse

Oh well, I'll just have to read someone's description of it like I do with every meet-up, comicon, PAX...everything.

Lockdown

response to Glaiel-Gamer's post

Hmm, thats kinda funny cuz just a couple days ago we had to practice a hard lock down. It was boring...We pretty much just sat there in the dark in complete silence for 25 minutes. The fun thing was untying people's shoes and then tying them together so when they got up they would trip. (immature, I know, but fun)

Kickball

Dammit, I love kickball...I wish I was older...but by the time I'm old enough to go to a different country alone, they will probably stop having meet-ups...or maybe there would be no NG...

Heh, it's not really slang for a thief (though it may as well be), a Scouser is someone who comes from Liverpool, check out Paranoia's link or check out this documentary on the typical Liverpudlian family.

Lol, gotcha. Paranoia's comment about being from Liverpool makes sense now as well :P I think that just doubled my British slang vocabulary (the other word being 'chav').

AAAAHHAHHAAHAHAHHAAHAHAAHHAHHAAAAHHAHHAH AAAAHHHAHAAAHAHAHAA

What does that even MEAN? I love it.

Shirts

Uh, I'll go into my t-shirts later, but interesting that this was brought up today. So, today was the inauguration of the new president (President SEAN T. BUFFINGTON to be exact) of the university I go to, so there was this huge ceremony and tons of people and it was lots of fun. So to be COOKY, I had T-shirts with a couple of friends that had a stencil of his face, and the words BUFF DADDY below it.

Uh, I just did it for fun, but I've been getting people business cards saying they want t-shirts, people have been giving me their numbers, I'm getting a picture with the Philadelphia Newspaper on Monday, Buffington's mother told me she wanted a shirt. Uh, shit's crazy. So like, I could not make a ton of money off of some tiny little thing I did just for fun. CRAZZY.
