There is one. A very good one actually. It's called Moyea, but it isn't free. There is a sharewareversion of the program, but it has an ugly watermark through the animation when you convert the file

What about debugging an insane logic error hidden in thousands of lines of code?

Oh yeah, forgot... you don't do that.

I do hope you're not using IE -.- jk, my advice is if you can't get something to work satisfactorily in IE then you should provide an alternative for users of that browser (it's pretty easy to tell what browser someone is using, then just load a different page or whatever). Although, IE should die (of course).

You can get a Firefox plugin that allows you to render the page using the IE engine (I forget which is which, gecko etc) so you can just use 1 browser if you want to. Then there is stuff like the Web Developer toolbar, which is cool.. and I think a similar thing called Firebug which is very good - incredible detail for everything you could need, including (brilliantly) Flash.. which tells you stuff like the connection type, load speed, url requests.. uh.. yeah xD

Sup, bitches :)

Dave Werner's Portfolio

After using the Firefox StumbleUpon feature, I've came across a pretty interesting Flash made site. A man named Dave Werner whom designed various sculptures and designs for "Kennedy Center," along with Wachovia.

One thing I really enjoy about his site is he has a featured video besides each project mainly, and shows the background history along with how he created his work. This really brings a nice new impact in what Flash really can do. As you can see, his site is basically constructed using Flash and After Effects, I really want to look into it so I can make something this big one day. Heck, I highly doubt it.

His work really intrigues me to the certain extent of an inspirational outlook towards various animations and graphic designs. I must say his portfolio is very nice and holds alot of nice information and work. I really enjoyed viewing the site, and it inspired me into making something on my own for the near future.

So take a look, and I hope it inspires you guys too.

He has some great ideas and a very talented graphic designer. I LOVE the was he encorperates the background information with his site's portfolio. It's a unique and informative way to convey a lot of information. He definitely looks like a hard working individual. Good for him,

Thanks for sharing man, real cool stuff.

Metal Gear Awesome 2

As much as I hate all the other Awesome shit, MGA2 almost made me wet myself.

It's like, the holy grail of shitty animation and great comedy.

But no matter how great it is, I still think a 4.70 is a little high :\

The problem with the compilations was he was strapped for time. If he had ample time, I think they would have ended up better. Anywho, MGA2 was, just as, to more funny than the first one. Some of the types of humor was a little different, but it was better than I expected it to be.

at all.

it's so much more interesting than what's found in things like madness and weeble and bob and the gamer tonite series.

Yeah I agree, it kinda comes off "shitty looking" but it's all sort of a mask to make the whole movie look silly and lighthearted. The guy's actually a great animator, and it especially shows in the latest episode - that whole part where that one light blue guy is bouncing all over the room was really nicely done. He does a great job giving the characters a lot of feeling, it's so exaggerated and over the top that you really get what the characters trying to do.

always behind schedule.

I agree, it is done very well and gives the animation the manic feel. Love it ^_^
Also hello people ! :)

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2008-02-24 06:59:33

I don't know - it was cool and all but I preferred the first one. It was a lot more fast and manic and suited the style. This one seemed too tied down with stuff like actual plot, and it was a lot more predictable. It was still pretty good, but not as much as the first one. Plus the score is waaay inflated.

Yeah I prefer the first one too. To be honest im getting pretty tired of the whole style of humour now, after all those compilations. I think the first was original and fresh and now its getting a bit old... SAying that, the animation in the new one was fantastic and it made me laugh a little.

Great website and cool designer. Somehow you can always get a good grasp of the ideas and talents of a designer after he made a chair lol. His work lacks an emotive component though in my opinion. They are all cool ideas, but don't appeal to my imagination as much as for example the works of my favorite designer Novembre http://www.novembre.it/

MG Awesome 2

uhh theres nothing shitty about the animation in that movie... i thought it was great. The 'crude' line quality matches perfectly with Ego's scarcastic humor. I also felt that even tho it looks crude its obvious the guy knows what hes doing. His camera choices were right on, his exaggerated facial expressions and gestures made an episode thats 99% dialogue quite entertaining to watch and listen to... kind of irks me when people shit on artwork thats like done purposely crude to reinforce its humor and parody aspect. Ego has a good feel for how people talk and the body movements associated with it... its a far cry from gamer tonight. If you look at both youll notice that richard farkas' movements feel stiff and forced.... robotic almost (prolly cause he uses the same symbols for what.. the last 20 episodes?) .... where as Snake you really get a feel for how psycho and bipolar he is... with his face getting obscenely distorted and humongous and shit.

I agree with Luis on MGA2. The drawings are simple, but the animation is really well done. However, with such simple drawings egoraptor makes, it's not hard to make fluid good animation. Still, his method is effective and the gestures are spot on.
I don't think it would be entirely fair to compare it with gamer tonight though. Ross has to make episodes for that in a very tight schedule and his drawings are a bit sharper. There isn't much gesture animation, but i still think the jokes are well delivered. I am not much of a fan for video game parodies, but i feel gamer tonight uses more mature humor than most video game spoofs (including metal gear awesome)

It has a snippet from one of my animations I made back in college.

I saw it a few weeks ago, and I was like "OMG I recognise that cartoon". It's endearing to know that big-time advertisers look to the Flash community to fill gaps :)

MGA2

I know he purposefully makes the art shitty, and I do admit that he is a great animator, but I just dislike the fact that it's almost too rough.

I'll completely cede to the fact I love his style of animating and its fluidity, but I wish it wasn't just sketched. It's well animated, fo' sho', but he spends not time on the actuall art. It's like he just colors the story board, which sucks a little. The only time he gets detailed is when he fucks with the eye brows, the asses, or the one shot of snake.

Also, did anyone else notice that snakes mouth changed color? Most of the time it was black, but at like, 3 times, it changes to a blue, most noticibly at the scene with Raven.

Short Animations

That's all I've been doing lately.

In lieu of waiting for some people to finish AFD6 part *cough cough luis cough cough*, I've been sparaticly animating.

I did a short peice about the weighted companion cube for a friend's collab and then today I did a really short one for fun, [newgrounds], in the usual [adult swim] bump style. And no, that was not blatant whoring. But I wouldn't mind some views and votes from other regs though :3 (fiveitfiveitfiveitfiveitfiveitfiveitfiv eit)

I hate that I can't bring myself to do something *actually* worthwhile.

It also doesn't help I just got Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney yesterday either.
