I was actually planning on making one, but I'll need someone to code it.

Ya it was a good game a while ago, but it seems like everyone and their dog is trying to make a remake right now. I'd rather do something original or do an original twist on that genre (migration to mars anyone?) than plain ol remake the original. Especially now that I see 50 people trying to make it.

On a side note I just made a post on the gamefaqs board, and got flamed for being a "walking advertisement" cause my username was Glaiel Gamer and my sig had my site in it....

I have an award too... though my only solo award was years back. I guess I just need to submit more stuff... I'm jealous that LLL has more users bookmarking him too.

I guess that's the price I pay for being a pussy and wanting fresh anonymity. Now I'm stuck with stuff spread across usernames. I wish I could delete my alts and get the submissions transferred. Oh well.

I think it's more about them thinking he's promoting his site with his alias...which is stupid because glaiel is his name... just flame them right back for being morons.

Death of Vancouver Olympic Mascots.

A teacher at my school walks up to me today asking if I've seen the Vancouver Olympic Mascots... I said yes. Then he asked if I wanted a job. I said sure... Then he explained how he wanted me to make a flash with the mascots either dieing or being made fun of for the latest assembly on the 19th of dec. I asked him what I get in return. Money? No... Instead he offered free lunches at the school for 2 weeks. I said no 'cause all their is, is french frys and other fatting foods. (Even though free food would've been nice...)
Instead I convinced him to let me do something I've never done and always wanted... Go up infront of my school with a mega-phoune thing. Free to say whatever I wanted for 5 mins. So of course I am so promoting NG and my site. :P
Plus the toon only has to be like 1 min tops. Hehe...

Eh, I wouldn't ever think of a teacher wanting you to create an animation with mascots dying. Like don't you think that's rather odd and harsh? Seriously, especially coming from a teacher. Than he bribes you with lunch for 2 weeks, It's like just give me money instead of lunch. But nothing the less, the mega-phone thing sounds cool -- but I'd feel like a total idiot.

Yeah I know... He gave me specific intructions to make it "not that bad". Which means cartoony gore and etc.
Free lunches are weird? Their common in my school. We have balloon drops and other gay contest things in the lobby and most of the time its free lunches for "X" amoung of days as the prize.
Also: My teacher is the drama teacher so he's.... different.

This maybe a dumb question but do you guys have interests outside of flash atm? I've grown a liking to painting little figurines as of late. (if you hadnt noticed already).
I've also been more interested in web design. I think I'm liking css and other web technologies more than flash atm. I reaallly hate reading but i've been catching myself reading more and more books.

Try to indulge us with something we might not really know about. I dont feel like hearing the same shit ie. (Glaiel: I play tuba and im so beautiful. CriminalDuder: i collect pickles and mullets.)

Like dELTA, I have an interest in drumming, and have my own (soundless) kit in my flat. Unlike him, I'm crap at them. I'm still trying to get my motorcycle license although my test keeps getting pushed around, and I don't feel like getting my own learner-legal bike only to replace it a month or two later with one that won't get me killed on the motorways...

Oh, and I'm a recovering WoW, City of Heroes, and Puzzle Pirates addict.

What kind of art do you like? I'm a closet art history nerd.

I like the illustrational parts of the art nouveau time period.... Alphonse Mucha comes to mind...
I was at the MoMa a few weeks ago, and was looking at some of the Monet pointilism shit .. that was pretty fuckin insane. I also do like picasso before he went ultra cubist...

Some of the more contemporary art things i like are Don Bluth's human figures in his animations, i've also been intruiged by the figure drawings/paintings of Audrey Kawasaki theres something quite delicate and alluring of how she paints women. That and the fact that i suck ass at drawing women.

Aside from that though i find her work intruiging, i think i have some sort of fetish towards emaciated sickly drawings of humans... i like Egon Schiele and his series of portraits of prostitutes and self-portraits.

i know this isint an art showoff thread, but i dident really want to create a new thread, and i know this is where i will get the most feedback, so here it goes. here is a character for an animation i am working on for a local film festival, anyone have any suggestions to improve him?

Interests Outside Flash

I snowboard a lot, I've been doing it for 5 years now.

I'm a history nerd and love to learn about history and oddities of diferent cultures. I especially love war history, WW2 is my favorite.

I don't really do much else...
I'll be playing SMG once I get it for Xmas (which is ironic since I'm atheist :P)

Christmas In The Hood

Honestly, I don't feel Christmas is as much a religious holiday anymore. I'm atheist, still celebrate, and I have like 5 Jewish friends who all celebrate Christmas on top of Hanukkah. It really is just a commercial holiday now IMO. Some people still celebrate it very religiously though.
