Lip-synching

Doesn't take me as long as it use too. Still annoys me to the extreme. I find it easy ever since I watched Luis' tut. on his site. I always found that eye and brow movements were more important then the actual mouth. Creating different mouths for different characters is cool too. Helps makes 'em unique in their own way. Course I'm lazy and usually just edit them slightly. Anyway... Lip Sync is annoying. Expicially when you have 150+ lines for an animation... Taught me to really redo my scripts.

Interesting thought, and if he really is going to run for president, he's going to have a good chance at winning. He has a better chance than the Rhinoceros Party in Canada ever did. However, I think he's just pulling America's leg.

Front Page Layout
I think the front page layout is fine as it is. Games get more exposure, anyway, so it's more fair to put the games slightly down below the movies. The movies are what attracts most users, because that's what makes NG so unique.

I'm a bigger fan of the daily show, I just don't think you can stretch out what Colbert does into 30 minutes, it stops being hilarious after 5 stops being funny after 15 and gets kinda meh after 20, at least in my mind.

Did i get that right that it allowed live streaming of videos? So does that mean you can say upload something onto NG and update it continuously, say its a video feed?

This needs to be cleared up. Obviously the man's show is a satire. I've seen Colbert on places other than his show (his bits when he used to be a big part of the daily show, when he was invited to that thing with Bush, etc.), it would be a bit silly for me to be talking about his character, not his real personality, no? Sorry about the double post...I've been meaning to ask about this.

Does anyone here know anything about plane movement in specifics? Particularly in the event of a plane crash into water...Er, let me explain. I have this great idea in my head but I'm not exactly sure how I'd go about animating it, though I would like to do most of it in Maya. Basically, I need to learn anything I can about animating a Boeing 747 in regular movement, then falling, then crashing into water. I have plenty of sources for modeling the 747, just not sure what parts move for what reason during flight, like the physics of it or whatever, why it would go wrong, stuff like that. Also, just how the movement of water works if something falls into it. What would the splash look like? Would there be a visible explosion? How would it look underwater? Comments, links, whatever - please!

I find his show entertaining, he's a pretty smart guy and it took a Hell of a lot of balls to do what he did at The White House Correspondents Dinner. Whoever booked him for that probably lost his job.

I can imagine, at some point in time, Colbert seriously running for political office, like Al Franken is doing (or trying to do) right now. If Jesse Ventura, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Regan can win elections, why the Hell not? And if he takes a thrashing he can always play it off for shits and giggles.

Yes it would be....but I could totally believe you were talking about his character, or that someone would make that mistake, there are a lot of morons in the world, and you wrote like two sentences about it, pretty general, and also I don't know anything about him other than watching him on tv.

I doubt ng booth will make an appearance next year but if it does itd be cool if it wasnt really a booth but a lounge with a couch and shit with movies playing... ng isnt really primed to be a 'booth' its more of a hangout type of thing.. we creeped out the college university people cause they were like why are there people hanging out there theres tons of booths to see why stay there...

I don't really know what the idea is, but I've got a GENIUS idea here, which is just ready to come out. I was thinking for a long time before, and told Luis this, but anyways, I thought this would be like a godly game. So instead of like people picking out of a hat...so instead of that, you should have it so that each person has like a square width, and they draw their own character for a game in each position. Like maybe take 10 or 20 people. I really hope no one steals this idea, because I'm going to add on it and make a collab sooner or later. If you are a really good artist, you can PM me, IM me, Post, or anything, and I'll be sure to respond if you would like to kind of reserve a spot. Anyways, DONT STEAL :P

I think that you are all right about the fact that you would have like 800 people just standing around the booth not doing anything. That's why I impose that you firstly dress Stamper up in a GIANT dick costume and have him run around to get all the people to move. He would be good at it I bet too. If you're playing a puzzle game how long would you want to play it before a secret was unlocked? I never can play a puzzle or any flash game for more than 10 minutes but is that the general public's idea, or would people rather have the game go on and on, Personally I like having a set ending after a certain amount of time, rather than having to close it myself

Thats why you never start a collab where each person has a specific part and is needed to finish each one. I think the Reg Collab should have had a simpler concept.

Depression

I'm going through a depressive period where I just think too much about bad things, and they cloud my mind. I haven't worked on much flash in a while because of it. I'm probably going to go on an antidepressant like Zoloft. Any of you ever gone through periods where you just think too much and it puts you down?
