wow, the couch, that would be an honour, i remember us all sleeping on the floor did we not at toms? ^^ well, apart from tom ofcourse

I would love some stickers, but John does have a better idea. Next Years sketchbook tour is going to be ridiculous. I already can't wait.
Congratulations also.

It better be, you schmuck >:V The only meet that happened this year that I could reasonably go to was NYC, and that never happened
Then again, I didn't crash mod meet like you told me to...
Also, i agree with John, maybe spend a little bit on stickers, but for the most part, save it for next year, if not completely. I mean, I know like 110 stickers is 50 bucks, but how much would it cost to ship 'em? More than 50 bucks.
Stickers
I never understood the point of them until i slapped one on my hairy stomach....their torture devices!! But i still love em :)

I'll show up to one of the meet-ups. I swear. I'm most likely still going to comic-con 08' so that should count.
Watch yo'self Newgrounders!

Hmm, I did just pull 2 all-nighters on NG before passing out. Yeah I don't plan on leavin' for a looooooooong time. :3
Regs
Anyone I see here more then once I consider a Reg. Mainly because I'm to lazy to seperate the regs and "non-regs" in my head. As for going to one of Luis' meet-ups. I so would. I just don't have the moneys. :(
As for generations of Regs. I'm a lil' bummed out 'bout that. I wish I could've been here durring the "good ol' days". But, as stated previously their's a new year a-comin' and new boyz are sneakin' their way in. Things are gonna get more lively 'round here.

Regs
I consider Regs whoever isn't a complete n00b, doesn't talk shit on everyone, doesn't think their better than everyone, and is helpful in anyway to anybody on Newgrounds on a daily basis

Same here. We really should have the NY meetup some time in the upcoming year

I think a south Jersey meet-up would be good :P then i'd be able to afford to go
Wow, I just found out it was ThanksGiving the other day here in Canada.
lol What a useless holiday. :P
Anyway...
Production order.
In what order do you make your movias/games? For games I usually make all th art, animation, sfx, and music, then I do the programming, then the last thing I do is the menus. For Movias I make the BGs to a scene then the animations for 'em. I usually have all the sound and SFX already done.
Production Order
For games, I make a test engine first (with badly drawn shapes and characters as squares). Then, once the engine works, I add onto it code-wise. Then I replace the placeholder graphics with animations, draw a menu, and add sound effects and music (in that order).
For animations, I don't exactly plan. :P I think of an idea, and make it up as I go. If I need sound, I'll stop animating and go hunt down one I need.

1- What the hell ever happened to the NY meetup? You owe me a beer... or as your people call it, a "cervesa" (Though I'm sure the spelling is mangled)
2- If you send money... I've moved. PM me for my new address. I'll be looking for you in that van, with the binoculars... like you used to do at my old house. I miss that.
If i dont get a sticker in the mail within 3 days, imma stop taking my medication, and im not responsible for what happens next. > : (
NYC Meet up
Yes, NYC meetup would be cool! Especially in the winter because that's when it gets that magical atmosphere :)
Re: Production Order...
Well, usually when I create animations and games I usually for some reason, start with the script, than voices, afterwards I construct the menu and preloader. Afterwards, I make the storyline sketches, after that I trace over the sketches with better animation, and I lip sync everything. That's basically how I do it.
Not too wild, but oh well.
Production order
For games I generally start creating the engine with place holder graphics.... as boredom with coding or frustration sets in I start creating the "final" graphics for the main objects (main character cycles) as I get bored with that I continue coding. As more frustration sets in I start on a menu and start doing secondary animation leaving the main animation unfinished. By that point I've a barely functional engine with a shitload of half finished art. That's as far as I've ever gotten so =P
Animation... for longer stuff
background... animatic... lip sync... begin inbetween.... lip sync inbetween and cleanup... finish character inbetweens... background cleanup.
I hate plotting out scenes without my sound effects and background music already inplace... I don't know why but having to go through and change timing of camera changes and suck for me is an absolute nightmare.
Production Order
These are the steps I take when i make games. Its probably not the best but it works for me.
1) Think of an idea
2) Do a bit of art
3) Find a coder
4) Have the coder make an engine
5) Send the coder the graphics
6) Make backgrounds/levels
7) Add Sound Effects
8) Add music
9) Make the menu
10) Beta Test
11) Play through the entire game
12) Submit.

Now this, I agree on. I'd love to go to a meet-up that I can actually attend at the age of 16. Same deal with comic-con. Asking my mom to fly on a plane with me across the country to go to a Newgrounds convention isn't something I think she'd really go for.
Mix up the locations people! DAMN!
RE: NY Meetup
Well i dont mind setting it up its just that it makes life MUCH easier if there is someone in the know that can serve as my main contact... I've been to NY many times but its always a cooler perspective from someone who lives or is part of it on a regular basis... One of the reasons the London meet went so well is because the SFB live there and they were able to take the reigns in terms of offering things we could do.. all i had to do was get people there type of thing.
Same sort of deal in Toronto, im looking to having Neg be tour guide or whatever and keep things moving...
The reason the NY thing fell through the last few times is because there isnt like that goto person yet, Johnny's been gone for like ages, BMK moved out of the area and Senti was also on hiatus. I think its definately doable tho we just gotta settle on a date and commit to it and just go for it.. its only a few hours away from me and i love that place. In related news, been trying to work with Mindchamber to get a newgrounds booth going for the ny version of the comic con.. its not as large as the one in san diego but it probably is better that it isnt itll allow for more mingling and NG is always been like that cool underground thing and putting it on comic con san diego always seemed like it didnt exactly fit.

RE: NY Meetup
i really wish i could go to a meet-up, but they're always not in my state, so my parents would be like "lolno." i'm sure the idea of meeting people from the internet isn't exactly a comforting thought for them, either. \:
colorado meet-up in a few years, maybe? :P

if we had one in your state then krinkels would likely show up... good luck explaining to your parents that you are gonna go meet some man with more guns than an nra convention
I hope he doesnt read this. :(

lol If we ever have a Chilliwack meet-up we'd be screwed. I've been here almost 3 years now and I still don't know my way around. The most stuff I know about is their's a hall that we could rent and some hotel 3 mins from my crap-shack. :P
Maybe if I'm lucky one of the games I'm workin' on will get decent sponsorship and I can afford a plane ride to the Toronto Meet-Up. 'Cause then I can give everyone huggles and bug Neg IRL. >:)

Hm, that'd be cool. New York is rather closer to me, so it'll be easier for me to go too. I wouldn't mind going to both. I probably will. Give me a date, and I'm there. Same with the NY meet-up, I live about 1 1/2 hour, to 2 hours from NY, I can get there easily.
Bye Denvish
Take care man.
Meetups
When's the next UK one being arranged for? Come on. We don't just need Luis coming over to visit as an excuse to meet up...
Let's sue Adobe...
Pulling some old news back from the grave here. But I had an idea. Let's get everyone who has a legal copy of Flash in the UK and Europe (yes, all three of us ¬_¬) to file a class action suit against Adobe.
When a company with a dominant (which is now also, a monopoly) position discriminates against an entire section of the world by pricing it's software at twice the price it is available elsewhere (US vs UK), and discriminates against those who purchase it in the cheaper market for use in the primary market, I personally think it's about time to call for Antitrust procedures...
Think we can get away with screaming at Adobe to cut it's price in Europe by half through lawyers and the European Competition Commission?
Damnit I want to upgrade to Production Suite...

i agree with you.. it insane that they do that. i was blown away by how much it costs you guys to get the adobe products.
In regards to the uk meetup, i agree with you as well. If you all are interested in taking a lead on it and making a non once a year thing by all means do so, im thinking the next time ill drop in will be springish.. i felt that september was too crazy and we would have had a better turnout if we timed it when everyone is well into their holiday break.. ill resurface that topic at a later date.

Reppin' the York
It is slightly harder for me to organize things now that I am in my first year of college. I could definitely help with things to do in New York and I'm sure I could keep whoever wants to go somewhat occupied but I'm never entirely sure of my weekend sceduals any more so it's difficult. Either way, I would most definitely make the trek up from Philly to NY to meet you guys if only for a couple of hours.
This better happen at some point. I'm all ears for any ideas.
euh, for those of you who still remember me, it's done
