I'm fully aware of the omnipotence of your kind, Kirk. I really hope my attempt at silliness hasn't bothered any of you TOO much.
Uk meetup and beyond
So lets first get the UK meetup going and see how that pans out and then we'll worry about the Fiji meetup.. or wherever people are thinking...
If the UK meet is anything like the Montreal meet last December it should be pretty fun, it definately helps when the drinking age is 18... although i dont really want to do that all day or whatever.. i can get wasted at home and save myself a ton of money.
Maybe we can do an aussie meet in 2008 sometime.. ive been meaning to slap Adam Phillips for not sending me a shirt he promissed.

Finding Religion: A Collab
Sorry if you find this spammy guys, but I'm really trying to find some help for my collab. Figure I could get some input here.

So what do you do on the 6th? Do you have a 'meet everyone' day or something?

'induction' day, i assume its to get everyone used to the sixth-form block, and all the other changes

Bleh, out of the dates you'll be in the UK (assuming you're still going for 5-12th) 8th is the worst day for me :P Oh well, I'll have to rearrange my moving plans, no biggie :) Speaking of meet-ups, is anyone in the UK going the Reading Festival?
New programming langauge
I've pretty much mastered AS2 and AS3, what programming language should I learn? Javascript has the same syntax and is very like AS, so I'm leaning towards that. But java is also like AS3, so maybe that.
Whats C++ like, everyone? And the same with VB.

well javascript isnt a programming language, neither is AS2/AS3 although they are alot closer to it than javascript.
java is a semi-programming language, but id suggest C/C++, VB is horrible

you realy think so??? I think coding is a pain ....
I ordered a book on Actionscript just a couple of minutes ago. Should take a week or two before it's delivered. I've been wanting to take on ActionScript for a good while now, can't wait to get started.

Ok, technicly they arent programming languages, but I couldnt think of one word that means everything coding related.

Gotcha. I'll get to work. Thanks!

Since you've learnt AS2 and AS3, would you have any tips for someone (like, me) who wants to be able to learn intermediate and advanced AS2?

How about we cut the bullshit and just call it nerd language. That pretty much covers all forms.
Everyones happy now :)
RE: Time Trials
I dont forsee them coming back, it was one of those you had to be there things. They have died along with LiveCorpse and actually I think its best that they dont come back. It was an exciting time and it unleashed the wave of collabs you see today and i think it would ruin the legacy to come back with it in this day and age. Sorry girls.
RE: UK meetup
I've never been to england, let alone europe... is there a particular area within london i should be staying in?

DON'T stay in Hackney, that's pretty rough.
