Walking
I've never been a fan of walking. Sometimes though, I feel rather than burden someone else by asking for a ride I will walk a few miles. I don't know that I've ever taken more than an hour to walk anywhere. I don't know that I'd have someplace that far away to walk to. Well, I mean if I'm in the city I might be walking a while but there are breaks and stuff and I don't know, I'd argue that it doesn't count.
Biking
A few months ago, damn near a year actually. Well, various times over the summer...I considered riding my bike around the corner to where I'd be drinking rather than driving. When I heard you can get a DWI while on a bike I decided why bother.

Most I've walked in one day is about 20 miles, and about the same biking. There aren't many great walks around here, but i went on a good one for a school thing, around a big resevior thing :D.
Thanks, it was tough but it was fun. I was with 6 good friends. Once had to drop out because he got a foot infection and could not walk.

I was thinking of downloading the trial. But my computer's a piece of poo. It would probably lag a lot. Still, I like the idea.

So Halo is coming to the PC eh? I would get it but I've got Battlefield 2142, still this sounds like a good idea, someone should organize it cuz I'd do it. My desktop kicks gaming ass.
Pico day, we could have a reg collab for pico day, every reg contributes a bit. Cuz I don't have any plans for it, but I would like to participate.

Halo 1 has been out for PC a very long time (i own it). Halo 2 is comming out for Vista here in a few months or something.
Walking
I'm a fan of backpacking so I've done a lot of walking. The summer before this last one I went on a 90 mile hike which spanned 7 days in which we hiked roughly 15 miles per day with all our gear and food for the week on our backs. The first day is probably the hardest because you aren't in shape. If you are in shape you will have a lot more fun though, because then it's less of a chore, and more of a vacation. For instance, on day 3 or 4 we had to hike up the side of Mt. Jefforson (in Oregon), which was about a 5000ft gain in elevation over the span of just a few miles, aka, very steep. Three of the four people in our group went up the hill fine, enjoyed the scenery, chatted with the backpackers headed down the hill and enjoyed the shade of the trees every now and then. Our fourth party member, however, wasn't in great shape, it was a struggle for him to get up the hill, he was swearing all the way up, he was tired, sore from the day before, and he ended up running out of water before making it to the top, which he thought would never come.
When we did make it to the top, it was BEAUTIFUL, seriously, totally awesome. If you looked left you could see the yellow plainsish area of Eastern Oregon, and if you looked right you could see green trees, mountain tops and small patches of buildings and urban life. I could have stared at it all day, and I seriously wish I had a camera. While I was looking at the view, the tired one was lying in the shade catching his breath.
This fellow, although he claims he had a good time, could have had a better one, and we actually had to stop the hike early because he got blisters the size of golf balls on the balls of his feet. Which he decided to pop, spilling pus all over the place, while I was eating >:I
ok Im done (:
Booking?
I just recieved a new book, Actionscript Animation from Friends of Ed. It seems perfect for what I've been looking for, it covers all of the math aspects of programming with flash. Kinematics, 3D, physics, tons of stuff, and it's what the whole book's on, not just a section, like most of the other books I've checked out.
Does anyone else have this book, or any similar books? I'm planning on reading this many many times over, I've never fully been able to connect a lot of math to useful programming. I'll be sure to comment on the book as I get into it.
RE: Walking
I don't like walking, it's too boring. I run a lot every day in the offseason of hockey, usually 2-3 miles (hey, that's a lot for me, k?) so I can get my legs stronger for hockey in the winter.
I bike sometimes, but running is so much more fun. I don't know why I think that, so don't ask. :)

Ummm, yeah... I went on a single 9-mile hike last Saturday, and I'm STILL sore. There were a lot of hills, though! Steep ones!

Computer pictures
Haha, I wish I had a camera. Until now I never realized how much junk is littering my desk. A metronome, an orienteering compass, a little fluffy cow that makes noises (the accompanying cat fell off I believe), a leatherman, a box of lifesavers, a resume, my transcript, some ACT papers, a few pencils, a highlighter, a comb, three pads of sticky notes, paperclips, a big jawbreaker, and oh yea, a computer!

Me too. I find the clutter almost stylistic. My favorite part is the paint stained sock that I use as a rag when I paint with acrylics in front of my computer.
Re:Workspace
Gotta love the keyboard right next to the computer :P
Bad quality, I know. Also, bad monitor :P

People generally keep their keyboards by their computers, it makes it easier to type.

Kester you absolute ledge. I did that for years. I used to own a shop you see so am hooked to diet coke, when I lieved there me and my friend collected lots of cans.
Now at my new house I was doing that for a while and making towers with them going up to the roof, but have none now, they just sort of lie around and maybe one or two will start to tower, but no more :(.
Gotta take some pictures now, but'll have to find the camera too. Went to earlier but had to print screen video, which came out bad.

Lies. Your desk is full of nothing. It saddens me how empty it is.
Coke
There's like 50 cans in my picture and I took another like 60+ to uni to animate. I'm trying to get off the stuff because it's not healthy.
Diet Coke is rank!
