but in all seriousness, it is REALLY REALLY annoying, there should be some kind of filter/rank for Helpfulness which includes actually having to be right and knowledgable that sorta, fades out those with a lower value, and moves those with a higher value to the top lol.

Lol, most forums suffer from some sort of noobishness. Most noobs are just concentrated in the Newgrounds BBS, rather than, say, the Kirupa forums, because the content on this site attracts them like flies. There's no possible way to keep them out or prevent them from embarrassing themselves, as (unfortunately) they make up a lot of the users that come here. Pfft, just ignore them. And bring citronella candles with you. They'll be repulsed.

I don't mind people asking questions - I mean; that's what this forum's here for. I like people asking questions. I remember a time when regs used to race each other to post a helpful response, and elaborate on or offer alternatives to each others methods, which was really cool.

I stopped really posting in help threads when it got to the point where like six people would have posted either C&P or totally random responses to the first person's problem, with most of them having less idea of what was going on than the topic starter. Responses like that seem to saturate help threads sometimes, which is slightly annoying; there should be some guideline or other against posting help responses when you don't know what you're talking about yourself. Still; free speech and all that - there's really not much we can do other than maybe have stickie for guidelines for helpful responses (no C&Ping, must be able to explain and code snippets, e.t.c)

lol, it's not really :P There're only so many basic layouts you can have, and the straight-down-the-middle-with-header-at-
top one is one of them.

It's not as tall as you want, but it's pretty tall. It might be about that.

YOu have to mess with the size of the uploaded sig and it crops it differently.

This one was 3600x2400 and it gave me a 399 pixel tall sig
