Animating
It's too hard and requires too much patience >:(
Here's that blueberry movie i started like a year ago and never finished

I used to love animating, now it feels like tedious chore. I'd much rather do a digital painting than an animation now.

To each his own, both of them are really fun, but very different. Paintings/or single pieces are great for keeping your attention span rooted the entire time, but animations are really a test. Anyways, I loved the art you had throughout your little movie there - would've loved to see you finish though.
Completely understand about the whole patience thing though - but at least I still get to see your paintings and all their greatness.
always behind schedule.

Thanks ConAir. I wish I could finish it too but I know I never will. It's just too late. Animation is what got me into the whole "digital art scene" in the first place so I don't regret ever trying it but it made me realize that I definitely don't want to be a cartoonist for a living. :D
..::animating/static art::..
Nice animation, MNWFI.
Yeah, animating can really wear you down, especially if you have an impossible standard set for yourself. I'm never satisfied with anything I make, I want things to be just so and when they're not I get really stressed about it. Part of the reason I haven't finished anything worthwhile in ages.
Oh well, now I have the BBS to play with, we'll see how long that keeps my attention.

Flash 10
When will this come out? I hate CS3, and Flash 8 has many limitations. I hope Adobe fixes the problems it had with CS3 and makes Flash 10 the best 2D animating program. BTW, what happened to Macromedia? Why did they sell Flash >:(

its FUN ^^ ok it gets tedious after many months but the fact that your thing is gonna be seen my thousands pushes you to finish it... exept with you lol!
your pie movie... it has like the most epic ending of all flashes.........
Flash 10
Hopefully adobe goes bankrupt and there is no more flash versions cause each version is just worse... same with photoshop and whathever.. also on July 3 everyone make patronizing threads for Lalo cause hes so sure nobody knows him and itd be fun if it was like flooded with spam in his favor.. i will not ban you for it. DO IT.
None
Well, happy birthday to Lalo on the third. That's the same day I watched my grandfather die. So I guess in the end it all evens out.
wonders why people are voting for him for Emo Kid.

Flash 10
Macromedia didn't sell flash, they were bought out by Adobe. I think this means that the same people who were working on Flash 8 were working on Flash CS3, only that they were under a new management.
CS3 is an improvement over Flash 8 in only one area, the layout. I can customize it down to a dime now, but on almost every other subject, CS3 is downhill. It has random memory leaks, it's slower then Flash 8, it has an unhelpful AS3 help file, and a lot of other things, but the layout is hot, so I'm going to use CS3 >.>

They should just make one that has all the best features from the previous Flashes, I know some features that Adobe never put in Flash MX 2004 that was in MX and 5.
CS3 has got a pretty shit layout compared to previous versions too, Adobe should also make some sort of script for Flash that prevents filter whoring as well.
Flash 10
I agree. Flash doesn't even really update much any more, just AS3 and they want 100 more bucks. Seriously, all you need to animate is already in Flash 8, and then some (the photoshop features). So, we don't need any more.
happy pre-birthday lalo =)

argh i fucking hate the layout.. its cool with all the customizing shit and whatnot but the fact that the tools icons changed place annoys me, and also the lack of colors in them :C it made them more recognizable... im too dumb to difference them now that they're all gray :P

All I'm getting at is this isn't the perfect world...
I'm hearing you on FM, and I wasn't saying that we shouldn't at least try to benefit as much as possible from what situation we're in. All I'm saying is that we should be fairly open about the fact that we're not happy about it; that it's a bad thing, even if we don't want to gimp the performance of our work by making pointless individual stands against it.

I love the ending! Great graphics though, I want to make some backgrounds like that, but I don't have photoshop.
Flash CS3 & now 10?
Flash 8 is all you need, heck even mx 2004 is all you need, I wouldn't upgrade for roughly 3 versions of what I've got, since they all do the same tasks, no point in upgrading unless you need to.

We don't know that ;). What if they were doing a test run? Anyway, the servers can't be overloaded, because yesterday, only about 100 people were on. I know NG can handle a lot more.
Flash 10
Theres a lot adobe needs to change from CS3, the layout is nice, and AS3 is alright, but it just doesn't feel 'new'. I think macromedia did a better job. For instance, think of Macromedia as 'Grandmas Old fashioned jam' and adobe as ' Sainsburys' value jar. Macromedia probably put more effort into it, and adobe just has loads of machines/workers doing it for the money.
Lame comparison, but anyway, Macromedia ftw.

Probably the main thing they wanted to do with CS3 was AS3. Flash 10 should definately improve more towards the art part, or maybe some more noticeable improvements.
