Typing

Let me see how I type. Well I am typing all of this without looking at the keyboard, and I am doing it fairly fast. I may have to backspace for errors a few times, but I haven't glanced down this single time, and when i say errors, I mean one letter, which corrects itself in a second, so yes type to learn had payed off I guess?

Typing
Typing without looking at the keyboard is nice and easy, I think I can type full sentences without having to use backspace - I never look at the keyboard when I type anyway. There's something more challenging than that however - typing with your feet. it's really hard at the beginning but you get used to it if you aren't too fat.

Typing

Well, to help me type better I occasionally glance at the keyboard to help me find some keys easier and within .01 seconds without having to hit backspace. I do hit backspace a lot, but my mistakes are easily fixed within the same second of making it, so I'm a really fast typer. But then again, I am on the computer a lot and I am a programmer so that would help. I also mainly look at the screen when I type. But I can look at the keyboard if I want as well, and type just as fast :)

Ive got a bendy keyboard, well its not acctually mine i gave it to my mums partner for his birthday. Its bendy and the back glows blue. You cant see the blue very well in the photo because its broad daylight, its water prrof too which is great when you want to take it in the shower with you :/

New/Old keyboards

They changed the keyboards around so the press couldn't type so fast, so I agree with you 100%. But we're all so used to these keyboards, that changing back to the 'fast' layout would only slow us down.

General Mods >:(

One of them banned me for approximately 7 hours. 7 frickin' hours for 'adding fuel to the fire' in a 'spam thread'. It's just ridiculous.

The description puts me off a bit on that one:

You'll be turning heads the moment you pull this baby from your pocket and use it to compose an e-mail on your bluetooth enabled PDA or Cell Phone.

Why not just come right out and say: "You will look like a wanker"?

It does look pretty cool, though, business bullshit adverts aside.

Bannings

Dunno why you guys wander over to the general forum... its a room full of landmines, i think id end up being banned even. I think the problem with it is that theres so many mods and so many different styles of modding. Atleast here Neg jmtb and Denvish stay out of each others way.. and we more or less preach from the same bible...

i would love a keyboard that was sorta like a big floppy squishy bean bag so when you press a key, you actually push into the thing itself and cause it to bulge ^^

Banning

Bans are fun when you get a 1day ban near the end fo the day.. you' get banned for like. 1 hour..

should really be days fromt he moment you got baned, not ng days!

Though, general has one or two decent mods.. Zerok and maus...

to be brutaly honest, if your below level 9 or somthing your more likly to be banned and flamed...

it's true :)

Sonx for mod

why is it that when we ghet a new mod they always hang out at general!?

prehaps a new flash mod is needed! we only have 3 active mods! and most the time they're not really here to be active.

I really agree, denvish and -1 are hardly here at all any more, jmtb and luis are the only ones doing stuff.

If theres a vote or anything, I'll go for sonx, glaile (damn tricky name to spell), britishmoose, or bezman (dunno why the last two, just seem modly people), and me.

Super frustraiting

I'm one point away from level ten. >:(

HINT!!! HINT!!! HINT!!! HINT!!!

Two really mods is probably fine for Flash. The only reason we'd need any more would be to fill in the blanks and delete piracy related stuff which our main men might miss

Lagtaculous

Is it me or are some of these Flash banner ads spilling lag over onto other stuff? I don't know how that works, but it seems that some ads make whatever submission I'm watching lag up extra, which is pretty annoying considering how bit a problem lag is to begin with. They're not as annoying as the ones which make sound, but still...

Damn greedy banner types. How goddamn selfish are they >.<

Banning

I once was banned for correcting a mod. ( he got pissed a me) Well i didn't know he was a mod and him and some other guy were having a e-fight and typing in all caps. And i said um i don't think your spostia do that. and then i tried to post 2 minuets later. I got a notis that i had been baned and the reason for ban was " SEE YOU TOMROW " . lol pointless one day ban.

You're right they do add lag to the Flash content you are viewing. A couple of years ago there were these Verizon ads that were total resource whores, they lagged (for me) by themselves and made watching a flash on the same page next to impossible.

..::mod for mod::..

The way I understand it; the problem is that the Flash Forum mods don't have enough sway over the general population of mods. Regs in General are more well known and thus more likely to be voted in by mods who sit around in General all day. Or at least I think that's how it works... =S

Modding

Ever since i joined NG, i've wanted to be a mod, but i don't suppose i come on enough for that :(. Anyways, if i had to pick a mod i would have said Cybex (But he has left), Fuzz, Lord Sonx or BM.

Some others as well. All the flash Regs are pretty cool.
Including myself :P,

Tau'ri

Looking great so far, i'm guessing it'll all be put into the final engine. Are the Rigid body physics able to interact with the soft body physics yet? Or is that a way off?

Anyway, looks great, i think it'll be the first 3D (Full) game made by an NG member.

Leveling

This annoying. Now, every day i don't submit my score, i go back to level 10, and theres no way to get out of it, since i can only vote once a day. I think, when the new layout arrives, that one users status should not affect another's, otherwise Pimp will always be the top.

Damn Pimp.

I think almost all the regs would make good mods, cuz we lead by example. I mean most of dont go around cussing people out posting bad picts.

Are these the same ones I remember? I made a thread when I was starting about some banner ads which seemed to cause a stupid amount of lag, making whatever else you had up slow to like 2FPS. I got around it by either closing the page or sticking the ad on zero quality, but I still remember being shocked because it wasn't a particularly impressive looking advert to begin with, and the amount of lag seemed really disproportionate to its actual size.

That's an interesting point. They should do weighted votes based on activity. If you put jmtb and Luis together they have more activity on the BBS than any general mods put together. Most of the really active general mods have left, which is sad because although maybe I didn't care for them 100% you're not going to find qualified people like them who are willing to mod general as much as they did.

Cos if its real, then their worse than I thought. I think there should be some kinda database of reasons given for banning, and maybe a transcript of the thread, so mods can be checked if they're abusing their power.

for speed purposes (it would be far too slow to not do so) i only collide against soft body particles, not the triangles contained between the particles, so to collide with the rigid bodies its just a degenerate case of a box-sphere collision which is rather simple.

It is real, although there is a back story to it. I told someone the reason for something was because they touch themselves at night. Evark obviously felt it was worth a two day ban.
