Funny shit, I remember at a party once my friend drank a 1.25L bottle of Vodka in 30mins and after he lost consience then regained it, he was stumbling around the night yelling: "Don't go near Kat she has AIDS!!" And Kat was the one helping him to stand.

2. Homosexuality

Pfft laugh all you want, I laugh at streight people.

3. Religion

Funniest shit ever! I mean God! LOL. Its just to farfetched for me beleifs, anfdd if he does exist hes not an egotistical fuck who makes people worship him.

4. Abortion

Not alot funny about this, not that its offensive... But like whats funny about it?

5. Terrorism

Yep! Funny stuff, well whats more funny is peoples reaction to terroism. What the Terroists whant is fear and anger, whats the opposite of fear and anger? Happiness and laughta. The terroists win if we get angery and counter attack and what not, it we just be like LOLs BOOM the problems of the world would go away.(mostly)

6. Natural Disasters

Again like abortion, although could be funny. But like 'wooo someones house was trashed because of a big wave!' Thats not funny you know.

7. Disabilities

To an extent... Like if the guy with the dissability makes jokes an what not sure, but... This topic is to individualised to make a blanket statment.

8. Mental Handicaps

See above ^^

9. Child Abuse

Any abuse is funny in the right context. Its all about diliverance.

10. Rape

See above ^^

11. Sex

12. Drugs

Drugs are bad kids! But can be funny.

A few, but sex is better. Actually sex burns quite a few calories but the ammount of calories in pretty much all food greatly excedes the amount of calories you burn doing anything. Like a light meal could have upward of 1000 calories. The human body only needs 1500 a day to survive. like a can of coke is like 800 or somthing (Off the top of my head).

At 5/28/07 08:13 PM, Mogly wrote: Re:Workout strategies

Funny youd post that luis ive been 'working out' recently. Over the last month ive been doing press ups and sit ups. I did over 200 press ups the other day.

Nice, the days I don't go to the gym I usualy do 100 of each.

The best strategy (or atleast the only strategy I know of) would be to play a game (game, not as in computer game, although that'd work) and say 'every 10 bla bla bla do ten pressups'.

EG every ten posts, do 20 press ups in a row.
EG every time you die (in a game) do 10 press ups.

Yes! I do that in 5 post intervals :D Although I do them in sets of 30 :P
My current goal is to get to sets of 50 xD its so much more kudos.

1. AIDS

Well, I don't make fun of people with AIDS, but I don't really care.

2. Homosexuality

I think they should be able to marry and stuff, but making fun of their obviousness is funny as hell.

3. Religion

I'm pretty much against all religion. It's caused more bad than good.

4. Abortion

Fine with it, joke all you want.

5. Terrorism

If it's not to you, its relatively fine to me.

6. Natural Disasters

Trig

I've got a maths exam in 2 hours and need to learn trigonometry to an A-Level standard by then. The last time I did trig was at GCSE level (which was about 4 years ago). Anyone got any tips?

Indeed, add me on MSN if you want some more answers in detail :D I got streight A's for Trig last year :D. And what is to an A standard? Like do you do aNYTHING with derivatives or integrals? Or just basic year 11 trig?

Nah we don't do anything like that. Well at least if we do I don't know about it. A Levels are done in years 12 and 13. The system is probably different here than it is "down under" ;) Also I'm only guessing it's to an A-Level standard as the notes once said that an A-Level book should cover most of the material.

Maths was on Friday mornings. I could never be fucked to listen.

Well I've got 34% already on this module, so I should be able to blag 6% on this exam. 40% pass marks for the win!

ive already practicly got an A-level in maths:

C1: 94% A
C2: 91% A
S1: 86% A
C3: 89% A
C4: 84% A
M1: predicted 90+%, was a very easy exam
M2: predicted comfortable A

Trig
To an A level standard? What modules do you need?

In C1 and C2, you don't realyl come across much trig except finding values between 0-360 degrees for sin x = 0.5 or whatever. Just remember that if its sin 2x, you'll have to go doubly as far, and if its sin (x+30) you'll have to go 30 backwards and stuff.

For C3, theres really just a few double angle formulas and stuff to learn, which if you have a graphics calculator, you could easily store in that.

Also for C3, you'll need to know how to differentiate trig functions. sin X goes to cos X, cos X goes to -sinX, tanX goes to sec^2XtanX or something. And you can work out sec, cosec and cot easily from that, and use the product rule for when you need to differentiate sin^2X and stuff.

For C4 and how ever much futher you went, I'm not exactly sure what you'll need because I haven;t done it yet, but i think its just integrating trig functions which shouldnt be too hard, and a few more things.

Other than that, just remember things like area of a triangle = 0.5absinC and remember the sine and cosine rule.

So just Y = Asin(BX+C)+D? Thats pretty simple shit.
A = Amp.
Period = B/2PI
C = X shift
D = Y shift

yeh, its mainly more calculus on trig functions, but in general it gets more complicated as it introduces integration by parts and integration by substitution and implicit differentiation etc (supposing your doing same exam board as me)

so you have things like:

dy/dx = xsin x/ cos^2 y (integration)

no, hes referring to finding all roots of a trig function in a certain range;

so a very simple example; give all values of x for sin x = 0.4 in the range -2pi < x < pi

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2007-05-29 07:41:42

a little maths test for people :P

1. (Not sure, perhaps one of the further modules)

find and classify all stationary points of the function

f(x,y)=x^2 - 4xy + y^3 + 4y

2. (Core 4)

integrate with respect to x;

1/sqrt(e^(2x) - 1), for x>=0

3. (c4 Jan07) This was a question on my c4 paper in january

a curve is defined implicitly by the equation
x^2 + xy + y^2 = 3

show that the curve has two stationary points, and find their coordinates

(the above question that i made up) (C4)

find the general solution to the differential equation

dy/dx = (xsin x)/(cos^2 y)

have fun :P ill post answers when/if a few people attempt to answer, and ill say if someone gets it right obviously

I remember doing that but no how I did that :P Although it dosn't matter because thats year 11 work and QCS(the test we sit to get out OP's) is a general knowledge to a year 10 standard :D Its so easy to get into uni here in Australia. We had a practice test the other week, soo easy I mean I had been parting pretty hard the weekend before hand and I am pretty confident of getting B or greater.

The test was monday afternoon and I started drinking of friday night, I stayed up to 4am talking with mates, slep until 7am went home, got a text telling me to come to another party, started drinking around 4 - 5pm didn't stop until 3am slept until 7am, ate for the first time in 30 odd hours and wrote a VERY bad english essay and slept from 6pm to 6am when I had to get ready for school.

And it turned out that, that sunday was Mothers day :O and all she got in the way of recognition was a hungover child muttering stuff about English. But I still think I went alright in the test, if I was awake for it I really think I could have got an A. It was pretty funny, to keep myself awake I grabed my mop of hair at the front and held myself up. I was barley consience. Good weekend nun the less.

NO!

2. (Core 4)
integrate with respect to x;

Kay!

1/sqrt(e^(2x) - 1), for x>=0

=1/(e^(2x)-1)^(1/2)
=(e^(2x)-1)^-(1/2)
dx = 1/2(1/2e^2x)-x)^(1/2)

Somthing like that, its hell hard visulising this with text, if I had a pen and paper handy... And its 10pm, I just got back from the GYM.

3. (c4 Jan07) This was a question on my c4 paper in january

I don't think it's as simple as yes and no in most of those examples. It's all in the way the humor is used. There is a difference between good natured humor and nasty humor, and if you're using humor in a self-depricating way that's fine. We should be able to laugh at ourselves but when you're singling out a certain person or group of people and making a joke you should be able to know what is and is not appropriate.
