Internet vs Reality
I'm pretty much the same I am here and the real world. Honest, creative, um...boring. Thats what i'm like.
Internet VS Reality
I'm the same but I generly feel more comfortable posting opinions and such here, kinda more comfortable period. At school I don't talk much.

Same, except I'm still an asshole in the real world. I made a girl cry because she tried to tell me that my eating a cheeseburger was mean to animals and that vegetarianism is the only way to go. PETA Bitch got it good.
In real life, I'm pretty... unusual... I guess you could say.
I sporadically pull all nighters for no reason causing me to be extremely tired at school, all the time. I think a lot of people think I'm a burnout :\
I don't think it's insomnia because I could totally sleep if I wanted to. I just feel like its a waste of time.
Anyway, because of my sleepiness during the day, I can be sorta very irritable. When I'm not tired, however, I am usually pretty hyper and annoying :P
So maybe it's a good thing that I don't sleep, who knows, i don't care, bye
Sleep
I often stay up really late like 5 -7AM causing me to sleep really late, like 8-9PM so then I usually just stay awake until about the same time the next day or a little later and correct my sleeping pattern again.
I find when you've beena wake for hours and hours it's like being drunk kinda. i like it

Bye bye.
I've usually manage to get some sleep most nights...I haven't had to many all nighters...but then again, but of the time it has only been an hour or two of sleep...which probably isn't even worth it.
Sleep
Even if I can only sleep for like 3 hours I do it. I can't stand going to class without sleep...and I can't stand it even more if I don't shower...

I know, I hate it when the sun starts to rise and you know that you're just gunna have to go to school without sleeping. Such a bad feeling.
Internet vs. Real-life
I am told I am a really nice guy in real life, I don't know if this translates here or not... Im not one to judge. I find the internet to be a teleprescence that people take advantage of, by being able to act the way they want, to the people they want to act towards. In other words, I think most people on the web are obnoxious and immature, but nonetheless there is some good.
Sleep
People need various amounts of sleep. It really varies with the type of person, what kind of excercise they get, etc. For example, my metabolism and energy lets me get away with only 4-5 hours of sleep a day, and I can still feel rested. My crash rate for sleep is going nearly 36 hours without sleep before feeling it. People think I insane, but meh, it just varies greatly between people.
Marriage
I am nearly 21 years old but I've been with my girlfriend for nearly 4 years now. These things probably haven't popped into your mind, but do you feel there should be some sort of age that's important to reach before marriage?
Hi there!

Not really. Nowadays people are getting married a lot older which I think is a bad thing. Think; if you get married when you're 36, have your first kid when you're 38, then your did does the same thing. It's likely that you're not going to see your grandchildren turn 15. You're not going to be able to go out and play football with your kids. You're going to be 50 when they're 12. So I say get married young, have kids mid-20's so you can really be there for your kids when they're in there teens.

That's actually the best thing to do. Have you kids when you turn 30, so that way you are mature enough to handle them and young enough to take care of them. 50 really isn't that old, but that's also assuming that your children have kids immediately at 20, which would put them still in college.
Plus, delaying having kids until later helps stop the slope of the population problem, which is the underlying source of all the worlds problems. Go figure.
But I feel it is important to have a few things before getting married, like they should be out of college and have stable jobs, they would be mature enough to have the relationship, and they need to be able to, you know, stand each other.
Marraige/Ball and Chain
I think people get too hung up on age and the timeline of events and what *should* happen by when. I think that just as every person leads a unique life different than anyone else, the timing of events should be whatever suits that lifestyle as well.
Marraige is probably the furthest thing from my mind right now, Im having a blast, i love being single, i am in love with moving up in my career and i love having the financial means to do things i thought id never do..
The way i look at it, just as i got tired of playing with ninja turtles at a certain age, i'll eventually get tired of this lifestyle and ill settle down then but im not really 'planning' for it or looking over my shoulder for that time.
I used to dwell heavily on having a girlfriend or whatever, and when i finally had one i found it more restricting than just being single and being a free spirit.
Moral of the story, just trust your instincts, dont run your life by what your nana thinks is good for you or what might be *normal*. enjoy life, live each day like the the world is yours.

You can die from slitting your wrists. The reason people do it isa either for attention, because it makes them feel good, or because they genuinely want to die. But if they genuinely want to die, i'd recommend hanging yourself. It's a lot more reliable.

Marriage
It is a funny coincidence that I wrote a paper on Monday morning about marriage and family. Long story short, I believe that the government should not give any benefits to people who are married because it is unfair to the people who cannot get married or choose not to get married.
Getting married and having children seem so tied together when the two are completely separate. If I get married, it is because I found someone who I want to be with and there be no confusion about it. Kind of like marking your territory with hickies.
If I had a child, it could be completely random, and I accept that. And it could be with someone who I may never want to marry and may eventually not even want to see...but my ultimate goal is to be able to spread my acquired knowledge on to a miniature version of me. And if I'm unable to find a way to support myself at the time, I will find a way, and I will struggle, because that is just the way life worked out.
My parents are about 65...you certainly lose a certain something by having older parents. Responsibility doesn't come with age, not necessarily. I don't think I would ever wait so long have a child, not that I'm the youngest. I'm 19, my brother is 27, and my sister is 34.

Marriage
But then it comes down to the point of whether my girlfriend wants to get married or not. The issue is that we've talked about it in the past, and she is worried about what people will think, which I guess is a respectable answer. She feels that marriage should happen at a certain time, when people are out of college with jobs and such and such.
Hi there!
Citric Squid
Nice to see you back again, although i've been talking to you somewhere else ;)...
Marrige
Not really any of my concern atm, but i'd probably wait until, i got a stable job, all my education out of the way and a nice town to live in before i thought about marriage :S. I plan to far ahead for a 14 year old :P.
Trig
I finally get the bastarding stuff :). I've been messing around with some inverse kinematics for the last hour or 2, and it all seems to make sense now. Maybe i can actually start to make proper games now :). How did anyone else learn it? School? Books (Me)? Or just determination?
Sleep
A mouse woke me up at 3AM. A fucking mouse. I chased it around my room for half an hour trying to catch it in an N64 game box. It managed to get UNDER my closed door, and ran of into the bathroom where it burrowed under the carpet. The fucking carpet. I'm guessing it's still there now, along with the countless other mice I have chased there. It's probably like a tomb, with loads of mice skeletons and whatnot. My cats are supposed to kill mice, but all they do is bring them indoors and hide them.
Marriage
Call me niave if you want, but I really don't see the point in marriage. I mean, all it is is a piece of paper saying the government knows you are together. It's not like it should make any difference to the relationship other than show commitment... but it doesnt stop her running off with some rich guy does it.
...
On a side note, my heart almost skipped a beat when I saw the user of the day and thought the new level icons were out...

We'll teach these young ones, one day my man.
Case in point. I have had the same girlfriend for 7 years. We've lived together for 4 of them. In a way, it is restrictive because if an opportunity comes up, now it's a "Can we do it?" situation, where you sacrifice some of your own goals and wants for the betterment of someone else... or just so you don't hear about it later.
Anyway, two weeks ago, that girl and I called it quits... after 7 years. Why? She wants kids... I don't. (One day, I might, but its a long ways off) She's 30 and needs to start thinking about very soon. So, I sacrificed the fact that I live in her house, she cooks for me, does my dishes and laundy and is always there for me so that she could persue the life she wants, and I can figure out what I want. It was a peaceful split, but now I'm going to be broke, paying rent. It'll be a growing experiance.
So yeah... trust you gut, forget what other people say.
Anyway, recently in school.... and on the side, I've been programming a shit load of games and test programs in directx9 and I have this to say...
After adding in all of the standard windows coding, structs, classes and directx headers... a little game where you move someone left to right... and something else runs left to right took about 600 lines of code.... nice. This week, I program arkanoid for the PC.
Anyway, hopefully in about 3 months, I'll be able to create stand alone directX games for PCs and download the dev kit to actually port stuff to xbox. (Those of you who didn't know... every think about why they called it the "X" box? DirectX. =) )
So yeah... that's my post for this month.
Peace.
Luis, lets talk about that NY thing.

I just learnt that on Monday. This guy had to do a presentation and he chose to read out statistics about the X-box and 360. It was really really boring and he spoke so fast you couldnt hear a word he said. The only interesting thing I got from it was that.
Wouldnt be suprised if he's failed, lol.

Internet Acronyms
I have recently became very angry over the idea of people creating acronyms and shortening phrases that are already short. People are constantly using plz and thx now instead of please and thanks, and its becoming even more prevalent as more and more kids get on the web.
I HATE IT.
Seriously, it shouldn't kill you to write 2-3 more letters in a word. It's NOT saving that crucial amount of time. It's preposterous to think that this is what acronyms are coming to. Laugh out Loud makes sense to shorten, and so does Away From Keyboard... they are actually longer phrases. But God... don't shorten it to plz or l8r... I swear to God.
Hi there!
Marriage
I dunno, I think it should be contemplated during your early twenties and executed in your later twenties when you should have kids in the later twenties or early thirties, that way you've got a career going and you done with university, your climbing the ladder to a higher position and you child can be with you longerish.
Internet Acronyms
Yeah, nothings more annoying than a thread topic with every word abbrieviated. Its happened before. I'm not sure why they think typing less is cooler.

Not that its cooler but easier, typing the short acronyms is faster so you can spam more. And thinking of getting Flash CS3, but what I don't get is whats with the CS and the 3, isn't it flash 9?
