Re:best fps

fion said: The refresh rate becomes visible

Yeah definetly. It's weird watching something move continuously at a high FPS because you cant fully focus on it and take it in. If it was for an animation too (rather than animating for a game) I think it would appear to blurry.

Try putting something on the stage, then tweening it across at an average run speed at 60 FPS for anyone wondering what we're on about.

Re:IM's

You should all get Google talk, have already converted a couple of people here over to it.

I was just thinking, "Why doesn't Google have an IM service?" and then bam, there it is... I think Google will go for global domination next.
Can you use MSN addresses on google talk?

You need Gmail.

Google *is* funded by the US to collect information and stuff, lots of stupid people avoid any contact with Google because of this. While I like to keep an eye out for stuff in a paranoid fashion, I don't see any reason why one should be concerned with this.

Kinda reminds me of the 'All the troubles of the world' setup. xP

Yahoo, MSN, Google, AOL, Skype, ICQ & Jabber.

All in one..

but why must there be so many of these programs!?!??!

I have msn, and only msn, why would i want to have 5 other programs that do the exact thing execpt for a different group of people!? soo pointless..

'Tude

'Hey kids, coming to a tv screen near you, it's an old cartoon that you may of heard of but we updated it for the 21st century so they have superpowers, guns and alot of attitude! Take it to the Xtreme with our new show!'

simpler times..

Cartoon Babies!

One of those weeks...

...Where everything just seems to go wrong. My sister has just gone to A&E Because she's been throwing up for the last 2 days. My PC decided to format itself on the first day of the holidays. There is construction work going on 24/7. And now flash wont start :(.

Anyone else had a week (or a day) when everything has just turned against you?

Every day of my life, just sucks...

I wake up.
I walk dog.
I do flash.
I have shitty lunch.
I do website.
I wonder around the streets, bored.
I have dinner.
I watch TV.
I stay up all night with my irritating problem of not being able to relax at night.
I finally fall asleep.

Trillian isn't too bad for a multi either.

trillian only runs yahoo, aim and some other useless crap. Gaim runs virtually all IM'ing systems, including built in messaging, that includes, napster, limewire, and all those other thinks people use to enjoy they're dubious music.

I dont compare to the amount of stress you are going through but i hear ya, im having a bit of trouble finding time to do much of anything... i have alot of commitments to projects and things biting at me and i find that the hours in an average day arent nearly enough for the things i need to get done... its begun to depress me ... blah.

Yea. I know that feeling. Like, I feel like a few months ago I had nothing but time. Now I feel like I don't have any time to relax because I've always got something looming on the horizon to worry about. This weekend I hope to get some of the shit I have to get done out of the way so I can breath a bit easier.

Alone - Literally

Easily 80% or more of the people who go to my school are gone. They are all home for Easter weekend and I chose to stay. I sadly can't say its unusual for me to not socialize too much on the weekends but I don't even think I'll be seeing too many other living souls this time around.

On the bright-side, this guy from home seems to want to visit me for some reason. He's a friend I guess, but I hardly know him. He just likes to send me drunken test messages telling me how we need to drink together again. He may come down this weekend, but I almost feel like if he does, it will ruin whatever chance I had at getting work done. Either way, I could use the relaxation. I haven't had a drink in weeks.

Ugh, I never get much done in the way of Flash. I seem to have the most free time of anyone I know and the ability. I just have a problem of getting to work and staying on task. Theres just too many distractions that I set my priorities before Flash. I've been this way for a while, but now I think i'm starting to have a breakthrough.

Useless Flashes

It seems all I ever do in flash now is make stuff that is cool to start with, get's half done then sits on my computer for the rest of a lifetime. I haven't finished a flash in ages and I've never finished a good flash, now if people ask to see examples of my work I can't show them anything good because I never finish anything, even though I know ho to do a whole bunch of things.

I don't know if it's a motivational thing or not, I mean sometimes I finish stuff but it's just so damn useless I don't want to show anyone it. Like yesterday I finished making some weird arse love dovey pink thing, I made it because I wanted to take a step into professionalism and make something I don't really want to make. I finished that, submitted it before I went to bed woke up this morning and deleted it right off newgrounds.

Does anyone else find themselves hard stretched to actually finish anything good recently?

If my sis still wanted to head to New York in the coming months, this could be an interesting opportunity. Alls I have to say is "I want to go to meet people whom I vaguely know on the internet" and it's as good as done.

But really, it'd be cool to meet some of the people here. Or at least, I think it would be. That view could totally change after the fact.
