I really like your sorta cutesy isometric blocks.

Also, the squash/stretch.

Hoping the levels are more streamlined than it looks there though.

I like the style of the game, though the energy beam seems to be too strong. It might be more challenging if you had a limited amount of shots or whatever you wanna call them and maybe have some super duper attack.

The wiicade api is really easy to work with once you see the basic workings. It works just like if(Key.isDown( Key.LEFT)) { }, which turns into if(WiiCade.KeyisDown() { }. Very simple, I would look into taking the extra 20 minutes to turn your flash game into a wiicade compatible game.

I feel like, directly in the center of my head, my hair is starting to thin. I've been watching it for a while and when I looked in the mirror today it seemed so thin...

This is so sad, my hair is the one thing people actually compliment me on, and often. I foresee a future involving many hats. :(

I've seen people who were in high school with very thin hair already. Nothing says you can't start to be bald when you're still very young. I still have luscious locks but it still scares me that it could be going away.

My sig? Its alright, its something I threw together like...years and years ago. Unless you are talking about someone else.

I have a friend who's 23 I think, his hair is definately receeding. He says his dad is bald and he's pretty sure he'll be before he's too old.
The fact is it does happen to some people quite young. The best way to tell, i think, is to look at family. If your dad still has his hair then dont worry too much.
Also, sometimes hair thins but doesnt make you bald. My Stepdad has quite thin hair on top but has had it like that for about 15 years.
My dad has (at 52) still got all his hair and only a few grays and my grandad before he died, had hair and colour to it. I have high hopes for hlding onto my hair for many years to come.

Windows update

in the time it took for windows update to check if i need new updates, i opened my dreamcast, took out a piece of it, cleaned it, put it back, put the whole thing back together and played a bit of REZ... before you think it's cuz of slow itnernet or something, nothign else was running and i have 2mb internets..

Yeah, i've got to admit, doing AS has given me a lot more knowledge on how Computers work, and it helps when i'm going through my pcs registry and deleting crap :P.

Linuxes

Does anyone have one? I was interested in trying one out, but i don't want to change my whole OS to get a crappier one. I don't know much about them :P.

There's alot more to systems than what AS works with. But I've been there too.
Linux is awesome but not moron-friendly, which in turn makes developers Linux-unfriendly, so I'm going for Windows so far. Might change in a year or two.

You dont have to get rid of windows to try Linux, just get a boot from cd version

It's about using it.

Yeah, i've seen some amazing things done with linux, but it does look more complex. Thanks for the advice, i might order a trial CD from their site :).

No it just looks like one of those shiny bump maps in games where the specularity/reflection map has been turned up too high. But it looks cool.

I'm torn with the whole operating system thing too.

I don't like Vista, for example. HATE it, is a better word....I don't like the security features, or how much overhead is needed by the OS.
But, it's the only OS set up for DirectX10 hardware, and if you having seen what it can do, Youtube it.

I don't like Macs because its harder to get some of the software I love for them. I don't mind the interface, or system itself. I actually like it a bit. But, I'm a gamer and I have a shitload of software for PCs. Mac, for that reason... is out.

Linux, I like because of the lack of overhead and flexibility... but you know what... I want to plug something in and have it work. I want my OS to be incredibly simple so I can just turn it on and do what I want it to do.

Unfortunately, I'll probably go Vista when I get a new desktop because of DX10 and it will be hard to find XP (which I don't mind that much) once I get a new desktop in a few months...

A new OS has to come out that supports DX10, PC software, has very nice, adjustable security software and won't require 100 updates a month to keep it working.
