Wedding Gift revised

Still a cool idea, but the board allowed for more playing off of each other's work. However you can still collab with a picture and split it in two I guess...

I read that he was gonna be in Xmen 3 but thought the character was too similar to sawyer so decided against it. I guess that means he probabyl wont do a film as Gambit. They're doing a Wolverine film though.

Wacom on the way!

I finally got a decent paying job (soccer reffing). I'll get about 40$ a weekend, which would mean a wacom in no time. But which one should I get on that budget?

It seems like I'm not even here anymore... pfft.

I've gone and become an SSBB addict... what to do, what to do...

Re: Wacom on the Way

Do you have any idea how much they cost originally?

Jesus, I love you so much. I had never pulled up the words, but seriously don't label things because of a general attribute two things share.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback guys, i'll post up a couple more videos when we get some vehicles and more puzzles in. 23450 gave good feedback, wow.

LOL. yea yeaaaaa..... naw but seriously though im trying to like put myself in the shoes of those artists who are like trying hard to develop a style that they are comfortable with and feel like they have put hours of time and effort into only to be told hey you took that from Synj.. *I dunno* id be frusterated if i always heard that..

Artist Style

Some people put a lot of value(and faith) in the concept of being stylistic. I think before someone can find their own style they need to do two things really. One is develop a very high skill level using traditional methods, and/or mimic the ideas and concepts of other notorious figures.

Sometimes, I feel like people look at something that is stylistic and think it is skillful, when the two are not the same. Likewise, something can be a masterful piece that is more or less in the style of another yet still be quite admirable. I think everyone is so afraid of being calling this or that that they feel the need to try and be an innovative genius. But then there are people who just lack skill and ability and come up with what some people would consider style when its just their best attempt at something better.

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2007-02-28 06:41:40

style

everyone has their opinions on what is stylish i mean i think clean lines and solid geometric shapes are really stylish where a lot of other people would call that boring or sterile what you gotta do it find what you think is stylish and make it for yourself just remember if you thought of the idea yourself than its probably been thought of a thousand times before so if you want to make someone other people will like just make what you like and screw those who dont like it.

The good thing with this idea is people could probably make the tiles themselves at home, and and just mail them to you. Would save on time and money if you were to make them all and send them out yourself.

Except.. it would be cheaper to send a piece of paper twice around the world rather than loads of "tiles" once. I'm guessing. Just guessing.

Buzzies Game

That looks fantastic, the game play kind of reminds me of the badlands games. Anyway, the art looks great, and it looks very well programmed. I look forward to playing it ;).

Screens

Since everyone seems to be talking about screens atm, does anyone know where i can get a cheap lcd/tft one of over "20, it can be flatscreen or whatever. If you've got one to sell, i'm interested :D.

Motivation

I just can't get myself motivated to do flash at the moment :(, I don't know why, but i'm working as fast as a snail on a treadmill. Anyone have any motivation tips to share?

Listen to csome msuic, look at some art, wathc a movie, get drunk.. depends onw what flash your doing really.

if you just dont feel like animating, don't.. go play some videogames instead..

Soemtimes you just can't animate, and if you try to when you feel liek that.. you'll end up working on your flash without love and therefore, not at your best ;)

Wedding gift re-revised

So heres what I'm probably gonna do, I'm gonna go ahead and start up the sketchbook tour with the tile idea, and for the skateboard idea im gonna just have one board and a very small group of artists do that privately and that will be the wedding gift, and the sketchbook tour will just be sort of a community project.
I still think that board idea is wicked and i want to do it, i just want to narrow it down to a few select people i trust and art memorable enough that Tom would know of. Anyways thats my thought on it.
