Graphics for game

Nice, but I don't think the diagonal white scan lines work well. Maybe a different colour, or just a gradient?

I'm stuck. Cybex, gimme a damn clue! :)

You (Guy below Trunks) are welcome by the way for helping you with that. I got sorta lucky that I noticed that. And yeah, Cybex, eleven is a real bitch too. There are over 10,000 extensions, and I've tried all the really easy common ones, from internet ones (com, org) to Flash (fla, swf) to movies (mov) and nothing works. This is really bugging me. :( Help ):

Eleven

I also prowled firefox extensions to see if there were any with a logo remotely similar. Or a name that had any congruency with the title of the page. No luck though.

Eleven

I think it may have something to do with actually moving the dot in the URL, I don't know though.

Artistic Flash
A lot of people don't visit art galleries because they're long, tedious and require energy and time. However, deviantart proves a lot of people enjoy looking at art and reviewing it. A lot of people on NG have deviant art accounts.

Just because you don't go to art galleries, it doesn't mean you don't like art.

i for one love to see arty experimental stuff, helps show that creativity and origonalty arn't dead.

Well, what then when you realize they aren't dead. Because of course they're not.

What. Yeah that's about it.

Can we stop talking about Cybex's riddle please go make a seperate thread for that.

Well, what then when you realize they aren't dead. Because of course they're not.

Origonality is pretty much dead these days.. most movies are very simular in their artisic stylings and ideas

Origonality

Think of videogames, Halo, GTA, Ridge Racer, ect.. all based on already exisiting premises and basicly just the same as everythign preceeding it < hey whoever says that GTA was the 1st of it's kind is a liar>

movies.. well, tell me the last movie u saw that u can saw was never done before!

Ect.
Origonality cna rarly been seen these days :'(

Shark tale, finding nemo, the reef.. same movie dont' you all think.

Knox saw it coming, as did many others. I remember seeing one of Knox's claymations a few years back, and in it was a line "Every movie in the future, is going to be a sequel".

And for the most part, that is happening. But excluding sequels, the main idea is still there. Originality is being lost. It's hard to blame anyone for that as new ideas are hard to come up with in this day and age, but people could use an imagination boost if you ask me.

Sequels and remakes and ripoff's are what all the mvoei seem to be these days.. all those CGI movies that appeared that are blatant rip off's of each other was a low point in human history

History seems to repeat itself over and ove.. i mean.. global warming and a new iceage? yea.. thats origonal.

New Header

Nice, or just advertising? I quite like it, although i think it's just the same graphics from Alien Hominid, added, rather than a new header.

Just advertising. I'm sure it's meant to look good so people don't get upset, but it's still an ad. But for how long will it be up is my question...

Alien Hominid HD

I already bought it for gamecube, but for some reason its calling to me again now that it's going to be on the XBLA. You guys going to rebuy it?

Well, I probably will do. I have it on PS2 still so that's a bit of a pain, hopefully selling PS2 this weekend.

One thing that's got me confuzzled is what's HD about it? What's new, if anything. I don't mind if it's the same game. Multiplayer over XBL would be nice.

Castle crashers for sure though, looks beasty.

XBLA Behemoth Games
Castle Crashers is my most anticipated game of the year thus far. I can't think of any other game I would be so willing to throw my money at to play. It looks ridiculously awesome.

As for Alien Hominid HD, obviously there will be the HD factor and the achievement points required for a XBLA game, but we'll see if things such as the PDA games and new features are added.

Pc cleanout

just ran Ccleaner ?<google it> and managed to clear out nealry a gigabyte of unsed space fomr this pc, jesus...

thats horrific... also it seems that flash < fomr newgorudns and various toher places> took up alot.. not the acutll swf's, but like.. logs and crappp... crazy.

Randomly cleanign out the pc is alreayd fun, did it a while ago using some other program< that was later found to work once then you have to buy it.. fuck that> which managed to clear up my intenets, now thigns downlaod sligthly faster...

My pc sucks :(

Banner Ad

Why not have the advert saying '+Castle Crashers'?
or will we get that adbanner later on?

doesn't matter to us over here to the uk anyway, we probs wont get either game for ages..

Pc cleanout

Wow, thats a lot of crap :D. I'd recommend defragmenting your pc, to get some room, it speeds it up a lot too. I did mine yesterday and it seems to be faster to start up. Takes about 2-3 hours though :(.

Alien Hominid 360

I'd get it if i had a 360 :(, it looks great. I'm sure they graphics will look crisp and fantastic on a HD screen, along with the hundreds more of explosions.

i defrag randomly, never really does anything though.

as for windows startup, heres a few tips i read somewhere:

Stopping Unneeded Startup Services
Manual IP Addressing on Small Office/Home Networks
Disabling Recent Documents History
Disabling the Boot Logo
Removing Unwanted Fonts
Stopping Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop Sharing
Speeding Up the Dual-Boot Timeout
Speeding Up Your PPPoE Connection
Reducing the Wait Time
Automatically Killing Tasks on Shutdown

:P

to be honest, alsong as the pc does the things i want it to, i dont' care if it sucks as bad as tit does < flash could be faster though..>

Thievery
Sorry to add to all the hustle and bustle of "ZOMG my game is stolen!", but really, this one takes the cake.

This website, http://www.noveltyarcade.com/, took Knights of Rock without permission. That's bad enough, but add on top the fact that I wrote on my front page (the only accessible point to the game before site release), "(Website Hosts: This file is not available for hosting until Friday, February 23rd. Do NOT host this file elsewhere until then)." and the guy still took it, 2 days ago! He even Digg'ed it before I could to his OWN site.

Fuming. Really, after Friday, I couldn't care who took it, but he didn't even have the courtesy to ask before ripping it.

According to Flash's Actionscript library, the 'length' variable (for arrays) is deprecated, so what are we supposed to be using in its place?
