I didn't get the memo. Since when was it cool for the entire world to hate Foamy and give it a ridiculously low score?
Since Inglor started his 'I hate foamy' club.
I see why people hate it though, although it is original, and i guess thats why a lot of people like it.
RE: Foamy
I have nothing against foamy. Although the graphics have hardly changed over time, the concepts of each new episode are amusing and clever, at times. While some episodes are stupid and disgusting, others are funny and well thought out. My opinion...
The Chase is totally my favourite action short because it looks like me when I figure to start doing teh massive urban ninja.
Foamy
unoriginal character, tthe whole seris is very badly animated, its basicly audio with an image that slightly moves.
some are funny, alot are not.

i'd comment on eveyrone else but i am lazy, if u want some praise, ask me ;)
oh, another note:
BDAY TOMOZ!
That is all.
My school's computer department sucks. I'm trying to convince them to let me take c++ without having taken the prerequisite class, "Computer Applications" (Learn the wonders of Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Paint!) and yet they keep insisting that it's a valuable course that students should all take and such (although it doesnt seem to relate too much to c++ so i don't see how it's a prerequisite). Yet everyone who's taken it says it's boring and pointless.
So to prove a point the teacher decided to ask me the most obscure thing from the class that nobody would ever remember or need to use (not like an official point, just something to like prove that i'd learn like... 1 thing in the entire class or something.) "Do you know how to use an IF statement". So i'm thinking to my self, yeah, of course, i use them all the time, so I say "In c++?" and she's all like "No, in SPREADSHEET/EXCEL" and I'm all thinking like "WTF". So i'm like "I've never used IF statements in spreadsheets before but i could figure it out in 2 minutes if i needed to" and she's all like "We're not looking for someone who can do that we're looking for people who already know how to do it" or something. Ya. So they don't want an independant learner in the class, they want people who can only learn what the teacher tells them to.
It's such a stupid predicament. They'd let the dumbest half ape half dog student in the school take the class if they took computer applications 3 years ago and forgot everything involved in it, yet they won't let me take it because to them and their little superficial bubble of information, I don't have "Basic computer skills" because I never took their stupid little class. I mentioned that I have a website with games I programmed myself but the teacher literally said "What does that have to do with anything?" GEE I WONDER.
I just had to get that out of my system. My guidance counceller (i suck at spelling) is nice though so I should be able to convince them to give me the class anyway, without the computer teachers signing my schedule. Then I'd just have to deal with a teacher who hates me for the duration of the class for breaking the system. Yup, should be fun If i can get it to work.
(I asked to test out of the class but they said there is no test. I asked for a list of what they go over but they said no because then there would be no class if everyone could look over a list instead of taking the class. For programming teachers they sure don't think very logically)

RE: Comp class rant
my school not do that at all. they do make you do a couple courses like Media Design and Analysis in like grade 10 and 11, but for the most part, you do whatever you want. But the reason they let you do whatever you want is because they dont know how to do anything. Sinse i got into that school in grade 9, i have not been taught a single thing from the comp teachers, its all self learnt.
Now i pretty much do whatever i want every single day, i dont even have to do paper work like all the others. Only because im the only person the school has ever seen with even a speck of artistic computer skill.
pretty sweet deal i have to say.
not for you ofcourse...sucks to be you.

that's just sad if they make you learn it they teached us if staments last year in exel
and it is thery stupid the best thing you can do with is caculate staff like
if b1 + b2 then you say to it what to write....you can learn it in 1 minute

Rote learning sucks :P I didn't take IT for any GCSEs or A Levels, but I keep getting told that it's ll databases and stuff with no actual programming whatsoever.
Anyway, in my experience the important things you need to know with computers aren't individual statements or methods, but the actual way everything works together. If you're good with a coding or programming language, you should be able to write something with a class or something you've never used before after a few minutes with the documentation.

Snow Days
I haven't had one this year and I probably won't. Temperature really has no effect on things. Its a matter of how much snow we get how fast. It pretty much needs to start sometime in the middle of the night and pile up before it can be removed(or thats how it was in high school). We had one good snow and the staff here cleared all the walk ways pronto, it was already starting to melt by morning anyway. In a way, if they didn't shovel and blow everything really quickly it would make it impossible for me(me personally, as opposed to people who may have cars or food in their room) to eat.
Anna Nicole Smith
Its ironic, my roommate was talking about her on the phone a minute before I read that post and I had no idea who he was talking about.
Amazon
I ordered two things on January 17, one came long ago and the other still hasn't arrive. Its awful.
RE: Computer Class
I do ICT (computers) for GCSE. It's completely boring and pointless. I have learnt nothing useful, I dont think i've even learnt anything. It doesnt even have anything to do with computers. It's all about analysing and producing business documents or some crap. As part of the course we had to produce an animated logo, and I actually had to teach the class how to do it. The teacher was clueless.

School IT Courses
I can apparently do my DiDA(Diploma in Digital Applications) 2 year before anyone else, because i'm using my new site (DepDesigns) as my 10 week course work project. Anyway, IT generally sucks so much in school.
So far, over the last 2 years i've had>:.
[#]One teacher who i had to tell that the pc wasn't working because it wasn't plugged in.
[#]One teacher who doesn't know what a .png is.
[#]One teacher who doesn't know how to open a new excel document.
[#]More of the same :(.
So yeah, IT sucks in schools. Hopefully i'll have some fun doing DiDA though, since 2/3rds is web design and game making :).
Teachers and Computers
its a well known fact that no teacher can work a computer correctly.

Teachers
Wow you guys have it rough (sorta) my IT teacher was also a lecturer at uni and also worked as a consultant for the Army haha he always talked about programming for f1-11's and how they had 21 processors in them all communicating or something.. the class was dead and he was cool if we had the work done he let us play games one time we had a class wide gta2 tournament which he joined in and got to the finals too :) then again my IT class was pretty cool because at my school everyone had a laptop as part of their equipment so most people knew everything about computers already and since we set the standard for IT curriculum we could do what ever we wanted and the rest of the state had to do it next year. We even got to go to a theme park (dreamworld) to design a website for them but in the end we didnt really need to go we just had a 20 min talk with the park's IT department and then free rides all day!

I am gunna try to convince my dad to let me give my address to luis. Hopefully, he will.
IT classes and Flash being hosted on school site
The best one I have done is Web Design because I actually learnt something from it, but I'm glad I don't have to worry about doing Basic Computer Apps in order to do things like Network Admin.
Speaking of Network Admin, I started it recently(school just started for me) and I get allowed to post things on the school student website, which is a passworded site that always opens up when you open up a web browser, the teacher asked what I wanted to do and everyone else did picture based things except two did podcasts so I said I wanted to try and do Flash games and animation.
I cannot put it up there at the moment for he hasn't gotten the Network Admin students privileges upgraded, but when I do I'll tell you guys. When I can you can ask me to post it on there(changes regurarly) or I will ask for your permission first, however there are a few restrcitons/problems if you want it up there. The school has not updated there Flash Player, it's still version 7.0, I played Alien Hominid today and had to set it on low quality for it to run fast on the school computers, no nudity, no drugs, no swearing, I MIGHT be allowed to post things with gore in it and you might want to post a link to your website in your game but keep in mind the school has a site blocker so they might be blocked.
ATM I'm trying to get the IT teacher to update to Flash Player 9.0 or 8.0 but he keeps complaining about the fact that they haven't released one that will run on sun systems but I think it's been released for 8.0 but I doubt he'll update it anytime soon.
I dunno how long I have to update it but everyone else seems to have to do it daily though it seems more of a weekly thing so I'll try and make it last a while on there but I know that my school is filled with people who don't even know what Flash is and won't care for the quality of your ActionScript skills and how great your art is, humour and gameplay is what you want and if violence is allowed then that might help.

From what I recall, I don't think thats necessary. Luis was pretty frustrated with how much time and money went into the last sketch book that he mentioned mostly having people buy the paper themselves and mail it to him.
Besides, you're the child. Its your job to make your parents job harder. Though I can respect your parents for actually doing a half decent job of instilling ideals in you, another part of me just wants to make fun of you for listening to them, lol.
When I was like 15 or some shit, I used to talk to some 36 year old woman from Oklahoma over the phone and online. In retrospect I don't mind have done it as much as I mind that I've actually told people.
IT Classes
In my webpage design last year I taught my teacher that you can use hex values as font colors. Me and my friend taught the class actionscript because we were supposed to cover it but the teacher didn't know how to code.

Psychologists are trying to figure out why everyone shares this dream.
They must be pretty retarded if all of them are trying to figure out why most people share this dream and they can't figure it out.
I think it's just an inner fear of lack of control. Usually the dreams don't include the part in which you make yourself fall, they start with you falling (or you don't cause the falling), which leads me to believe it's just another extension of our fear of losing control of our life or specific situations. We as humans by default crave control over our lives.

Could be. Actually a nice explanation, atleast better than an ancient monkey-dream.
We as humans by default crave control over our lives.
Neh, only the really stupid humans. >:P
RE: Dreams
I don't personally believe there are any philosophical messages in our dreams. I think it's a bit like a 'summary' of what we've experienced and what we thought about. Try to think about something that interests you very deep before you sleep, there are big chances you'll dream. When you think about it, your thoughts are basically encrypted data or something passing through your brain, and when you sleep it possibly 're-displays' them or something. It's definately more scientific rather than litterary, it's not like your brain wants to talk to you ^^
