RE: Snow
Snow here too, and has been for quite a while, and it's freakin cold too. I actually went skiing yesterday, it was fun.
I'm tired of the winter and snow though, and I'm so looking forward to the summer<3.

SNOW?!?!?!
SNOW IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER!?!?!?!
You guys a weeeeiiiirrrd, I started school this week and amazed people with seizure flashes at school. My eyes are sore from that too. But now I have more of a motivation to animate so I can avoid homework.

Lol, I wish it was warm enough not to snow. Heh. Winter and snow is only fun for like a week, then it gets annoying. Oh well.

those were pretty broad terms for 'live round there?'. Well i'm from South west England on the English Riviera, so tourists come alot.
The assasination of Richard Nixon
Has anyone seen this film? Watched it last night. I quite liked it - you gotta draw a parallel with Taxi Driver, which is one of the reasons I liked it so much. Shaun Penn plays Sam Bicke (..Bickle?) and is a would be assasin of Nixon. It's an intresting film - Shaun Penn is a great actor. This is the third of his films i've watched of his to specifically see him - 21 gramms (also starring Naomi Watts), then Carlitto's way (plays the coke-head lawyer - how completely different) and now this.
I wanna see I am Sam next.. or Mystic River.

England is horribly boring compared to Italy or Netherlands, or France (making fun of Toast, atleast; I imagine that would be kinda fun xD).
RE: Falling
I'm reading through posts in order from page 300, so if someone's already answered it, w/e.

A lot of subjects also note they are falling into water, as if the ocean, when they are falling that quickly.
So yeah, its really bizzare.
I read once that it's something from before we'd evolved out of trees; sort of a safety mechanism against falling out of high branches or something.
As a side note, I've never once had a dream or thing like that. The closest is when I try to go to sleep on a bed on the few occasions when I have quite a lot to drink, and feel like I'm spinning and falling backwards over something. I have no liking whatsoever of falling - I can't even go on any roller coasters - heck, not even log flumes - so this actually made me sick one time.
RE: Falling
I've only had a falling dream twice. Once i started falling off a cloud, and then a second later i woke up on th floor.
The only time ive dreampt of falling when i was about to hit the bottom was when i was skiing, and i fell off a cliff. Right before i hit the bottom i woke up.
I reckon the reason people wake up before they hit the bottom is because it confuses the mind. The mind doesn't know what to make you dream about because you don't know what death is like.So it gets confused and's just like "fuck it, i'm waking him up".

I think what you're referring to is known as the spins. It also happens when you're sitting down, but its a hundred times worse when laying down. Its really annoying when you have nothing to do but sleep and or you have to go to class. I had to just prop of my pillows and lean against them until I eventually just passed out one time.
Flash Chat
I checked it out, no one was on. Then again all of your Brits are 5 hours ahead of me so when you were on it was 3 in the morning. Its not something I'm not used to though.
Flash Heroes
Who do you admire for their flash work?
Did anyone help u out as you started, ect.
i have to say that FrostRhino, Seizuredog and a few others < dj runaway for one> helped me quite a bit when i was still a little n00bie.
i also admire them for their flash work, FR for his very odd unique style, SD for his rather crazy movies of randomness and his brilliant collabs < that i was in :P> and even DJ runaway though, his movies no longer continue, his music is exellent, and some of the stuff he has shown me < incomplete> has been fucking amazing.
there are other's i'd like to mention but there is only 7,500 hcaracters left and i'd end up using them all ;)
Your turn lads :D!
and ladettes

RE: Snow day
Out of curiosity, how low must the temperature be so that you guys would have a snow day?
Below minus five at night, but it's really common so it actually depends on rain clouds.
Re: Snow Day
I live in California, which means we NEVER have days off from school. Seriously, it's not even a factor here.
In fact, in order to cut down on costs for being open, my university holds finals on weekends as well so that the school doesn't have to be open as long.

That's interesting; the only thing with me though is that i'm not actually asleep at the time, I'll just be about to drift off, then WHAM I hit the mattress from an unknown height.
RE: Snow
It snowed here last night. It was about an inch thick in the morning, but I had to go to school, then it rained, and by break all the snow had gone :(
I managed to join in on a small semi-snowball fight just before morning registration though; I got hit twice. Even at that time, the only snow still around was on the teachers cars.
And I completely agree with [Pinkskull's?] sig; there have been more intellectual topics here since Luis left. Why is that?

RE:Snow days
.......riight. The limit is -25 C in here....
Well, it probably depends on local climate. The best snow I had here was back in October, and there were a few little snowstorms a week or so back. And it's only getting below ten degrees about now. It's more about the air miles above, anyway.
Re:Flash Heroes
I aspire to a lot of people around here. There's John for his amazing organizing and producing skills, dELtaluca for his outstanding 3d AS and 3d render, and gust, the 14 year old wonder boy :). And then there's people like Dim who find time to animate, make great complex games and still find time to post :).
Anyway, this forum made me what it is today, so when I'm older, and if i make a bit of cash, i'll give some to whoever is running the site, to keep it running and to help others learn as much as i have from you lot :D.
/ sappy speachy thingy.
Re : Snow Day
Yay, we might have another SD tomorrow, since its the last day of term, and all the snow will be frozen :). Sounds like people have had fun, me knows i have ;D.
Foamy
I didn't get the memo. Since when was it cool for the entire world to hate Foamy and give it a ridiculously low score?
