Well, I take German, and can't speak French at all. And yes Google's translator isn't perfect, but it's far from crap.

Shape Tweens

Forgot to add:

shape tween one = bg < blue sky, green grass>
tween 2 = outline of house
tween 3 = windows

shape hints used for all 3... took fucking ages to get correct :D!

Shape tweens are fun :). I think that is because Flash's strange calculations to drawing tweens are ridiculous sometimes, and it's always interesting to see what will happen without shape hints. It also makes it easy for beginners who don't understand the symbol tweening concepts. It may suck to see those cliche shape tweens (you know, the ones with the lines and wierd colored shapes flying around), but at least it's getting them somewhere.

Now I once did this thing in class with a top down plane and used a shape tween to have it tilt as if it were to turn, they looked good, because the plane was small and didn't require a more complex tweening method, but if it were bigger it would look terrible such as snox' shite example.

i ried to use a shape tween in one of my mvoeis and it would just refuse o work correctly, rotating the box the wrong way.. that pissed me off :(

I actually just stay away from tweens when it comes to like movement and such, its perfect for fades and whatever but even in games that I make I make the arms and what not graphics but just fbf their movements instead of tweens, tweens just aren't reliable enough.

So you hold the key corresponding to the note and click to strum, like guitar hero, like a real guitar...

A= green
S=red

Of course it won't feel exactly like your playing, because it's a song and not actual notes, as that would be nearly impossible to redo in Flash...

It seems to me, that as much time we spend on the BSS, no one really "knows" anyone. So in an attempt to change that, what's YOUR favourite type of music/who's your favourite bands/what type of music are you into?

I realise this is in your profiles, but 1) no one really looks at them, and 2) people may have more than 3 fav bands >:)

As for me, I love punk rock: NoFX, Bad Religion, ALKALINE TRIO, Lagwagon, Bowling For Soup, Offspring, Less Than Jake, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys etc.

But, I also love "mainstream" rawk bands: R.E.M. AC/DC and of course grunge is like gospel to me.

NIRVANA, Pearl Jam and NEIL YOUNG are Gods to me.

So, which band/artist has a massive influnece on YOUR life?

I like metal and all that. Bands like Slipknot, Mudvayne, Silent Civilian, Disturbed, Static-X etc. Sometimes I can't stand listening to any like techno crap, but I'll put up with it if my friends put it on.

Those aren't really punk. I don't know what they would be, besides just general alternative music. Punk is like the Ramones and Sex Pistoles. Anything these days is faux-punk at best.

Since I dislike pop music, I mostly like Audio Portal stuff.

Which brings up another topic, whats your favorite Audio Portal Authors/music and why?

One of them would have to be B0unc3, and his stuff like Paradise on E, Tetris Reborn, and most of his other Trance music.

Another is API for his P on E remix and a few other trance songs from him.

Another is DavidOrr who makes some pretty realistic orchastrated pieces.

And last would be Dimrain17 and pretty much everything hes made.
