Been playing the Fancy Pants demo on PS3, and it's actually pretty fun, especially the water bits. The only reason I haven't bought it yet is because the art's just bad. I mean I love the characters themselves and the super smooth animations, just not the backgrounds or the ground.
When I'm running fast and jumping on the PS3, I'd like to be looking at awesome art, as in, not crudely drawn. If you remember in Fancy Pants 2 when he had a few levels drawn by multiple different artists, now those were extremely awesome, especially the Adam Philips level. If that caliber of art was added in the console version it would have been ways better in my opinion, and I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
In other news, I just found this:
Super Meat Boy Postmortem
It's as inspiring as it is depressing. Making games is definitely not easy. Edmund even says he had a nervous breakdown where he actually thought he was stuck in some nightmare where he was repeating the same day over and over.
They also got screwed by Microsoft.
