RE: NPC

Yeah, ok.

Name: Jay (Its not my real name but its close.)
Description: Use my profile pic for reference, and for clothes...um...blue. Lots of it.
Stuff I say: Maybe something like, "What the heck am I doing here?" or, "I am being forced to work here, GET ME OUT OF THIS PLACE!" or, "Lol, NPC." You know, whatever you think is the funniest.

RE: Reg collabinator

Post-Christmas is fine for me. I'm pretty sure I'm considered a "reg".

I'll do it. Can you have a sheep as an NPC? or does it have to be a person. Do you need any voices for the characters?

I think the biggest drawback of this type of scene is the lack of active excersize that comes as a bi-product

I think the key is just taking an extended break between projects, then i dont feel so bad stepping away and not getting into the trenches.

scenes and trenches are such luis words....

Re: PS2

i'm so glad i never got one, none of my game consoles have ever died on me exep the xbox, which i just just as a stand for the gamecube :P

I would never go as far as to say that. I mean, I own about 50 PS2 games or so...FFXI alone cost me 40 days of living, 40 days means 24 hours times 40. I mean my PS2 may have broken but I pushed it to the limits with some days playing as long as 12 hours at a time, maybe more. Though in resent time I've toned it down a bit, especially since college...I still love my PS2.

After Christmas Collab

I don't want to prolong things too much because, I may not speak for everyone, around the 16th of January I go back to school. So I'm not sure how much time I will have at that point. I mean its not like I'm saying we should start before Christmas anyway, because I haven't the time, I have about 22 hours worth of work due Tuesday, but lets not start TOO late.

Computer Help

I somehow managed to make my computer forget that it has a disc drive. I realized this when my volume control was no longer on the task bar and I went into settings to fix it and it said I needed reinstall it or something along those line. When I put in my windows installation disc I realized my disc drive was no longer listed under my drives. And even though my floppy drive is still listed I don't have any floppy disc for windows.

Well you can't have a sheep as the main character that'd be rediculous.

Flash stamina
Today is the start of my first weekend in which i dont have to do any work, since ages. So i managed to do some flash. I got realy enthusiastic and so i managed to do a 20 second animation which was realy satisfying :).
How long can you sit and do a flash animation for? I did like 4 hours solid :O

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-12-16 16:16:38

RE: Stamina

Once i sat on the comp and animated for seven straight hours. I made around 7 secs of animation though... it was very detailed. After that i realized, "god this is gonna take me long" and just dropped the project... :P

RE: Flash stamina

At most 30 min. I used to be able to do like 2 or 3 hours back when I did sprite animation, but I was young and eager back then.

Re:Computer Help

I tried to restore default settings but it didn't do a helluva lot. If you have suggestions make them step by step, so far I have no idea what you are suggesting I do.

RE: PC help

1. Turn off your comp (but only after youve finished reading :P)
2. Open your CPU case
3. Check to see if the power cable connects as it should to your disc drive
4. Check to see the other cable (dont know name in english) is connected as should be to the drive

>_< if its still not working, is the light on your drive on? Can you open the disc drive?

unless im being completely stupid and misunderstood something, youre talking about a cdrom, arent you?

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-12-16 16:38:21

Re: Flash Stamina

I've stayed up untill like 4 before just animating; non-stop, hard core animating. For me, if I'm interested in a project, I work hard till i'm finished. It's quite satisfying really.

Computer Being Lame

Its not a hard drive issue. It still operates, and reads discs, but I can't not use the drive for some reason. Like if I put in a CD it will start to read it but the computer does not acknowledge that its in there. Likewise, when I goto run then browse...the drive does not show up. Like my computer quite literally forgot there is a disc drive.

Well, it's probably the belt-like grey cable is disconnected. If its not then clean the places where the cable should be connected with a brush or something, then reconnect. If it doesnt detect, then the cable fucked up

it happened to me two days ago, luckily my brother works with computers and he has a lot he doesnt need, so i just stole another one :P

Response to The Flash 'Reg' Lounge 2006-12-16 16:59:14

CPU Problem

If it was a disconnected belt why would it no longer appear in windows? I may not know much but it sounds more like a software problem. If it was hardware should it still be available except I would get some error message like "cannot find Drive X" or whatever. Besides I have no time to open my computer right now. I don't even have time to respond to this.
