I just recently learned about flash components. I'm not sure if everyone knows about them

Not really a feature but on CS3, go help>about and then click on the second (C) sign (just after 'Flash'), and a bunch of pictures of the developers appear :D

+ when you're running the swf, press Cntrl+B (or view>bandwidth profiler), it brings up a nice graph, which shows how big filesize-wise each frame is.

Webcomic?

Recently I've been considering creating a webcomicy website, so to start myself off I've scanned in a couple of pages from my sketchbook. If you guys could give some feedback I'd be really happy.

Bear in mind all of these are just raw scans from paper, no photoshop touch ups, so they would look nicer if I was going to do it more seriously and make final drawings from them, at the moment they look very biro-y.

Neat :) Apparently the (c) signs can be used to control the scroll speed of the "credits" in CS4, instead you click the 4 in "CS4" to see the developer images.

Yeah, I was using the term webcomic very loosely, more of a selection of doodles.

Lmao, I just noticed I got banned for calling a retard retarded. The guy made a thread asking for help with his code to make a ball bounce, 40 replies later of people explaining the solution in extreme detail he was still ignoring everyone and say "come on pls help me". Additionally, he was being a huge douche in other threads, so I called him a retard in one of my posts and sure enough, the little brat went ahead and PM'd the mods.

Anyway I decided to start the 2009 AS wars since no one else is doing it. I should probably have the game script done by tomorrow. It's gonna be a 600x600px arena and a 1v1 fight. For now I think that bots won't be able to heal, just shoot move and reload. We can make alternative fights later. I wrote it in AS2 so everyone can have a chance to join. Start thinking of ideas for your bots, I'm looking forward for a competitive battle this year. I hope to see some of the people who took part in the older battles.

My parents started some university fund for me when i was little, i'm actually quite grateful as now i don't have to pay for university like at all O.o i feel pretty bad so when i have to buy extra books for courses i don't tell them so they can't pay me back ;)

That's a fantastic review. I think i'll write less reviews now, but spend a while on the games i really feel deserve it.

His problem was simple as fuck and his only reply to every post trying to explain it was just "Well that didn't help at all ....", even to ThePeasant who wrote a fucking huge post that covered the solution in every slightest detail. I really want to get Borderlands but I can't really afford it. Maybe after Christmas I'll pick it up, it does look kickass. Same with a lot of games at the moment to be frank, Uncharted 2 for example. Left 4 Dead 2 is also of a lot of interest to me because I did like the first, it's just I can't justify paying that amount of money for a small upgrade, so I plan to pick it up when Steam discounts it (which is inevitable within the next few months).. and try the demo when it's publicly available.

I'm ill, a lot of my friends have flu and there's warnings all over the uni that swine flu has "broke out" which is pretty inevitable when you think about it, but I'm not sure if I have it.. I haven't been vomiting or diarrhoea-y, mainly a sore throat and chest.. think it might be tonsillitis (I get it once a year or so). I shall live :P

Been there don that. It's fine don't worry about it, just another flu. My sister brought it home from uni and the entire family caught it within a day. After some vomiting and normal flu symptoms it was fine. Just note that people catch it really easy.
