HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!

why do people only check the last page in the reg lounge?
last post for today, I swear
PAX setop went.. OK. I ended up shelling out $80 for a sign to be printed at kinkos causer they didn't provide signs like they said they would. But oh man what a sign it is. 40''x20''. I may find a way to give it away in a contest after PAX. In an absolutely completely unrelated note, there is a paypal donate button on closuregame.com, maybe you could hit it?
Audio didn't work, so I have to bring my own speaker system. What a pain. Oh well this is what the setup day was for.
It's gonna be a photo finish getting the game ready in time. Starogre has all the art with him, he'll be here shortly and we can pop the art in the game when he gets here.
Saw dan paladin today setting up. I'm literally right across from them.

I have the same problem currently :S I always had my hand slightly further up on the keyboard and had my left leg up on the chair, so now my hips are unbalanced and its killing my shoulder. I'm trying out putting my right leg up instead to balance it..hopefully i dont just ruin both :P

Now that I'm slowly removing myself from under some rock I seemed to have be stuck in, I've installed Windows 7 on my junker (2 year old) laptop. So far so good. Now to slowly put my games, adobe shit, and netbeans back on then the real tests begin. If all goes well I'll throw on the other install I get as a boot on my mac so I can play steam outside of a shell.
I wish I had remembered PAX earlier since I'll be in Washington tomorrow but more in the Bellingham area.. or Everett. I'm not really sure since I'm not the one driving lol.
Play the dadgame drunk and it seems like the best idea ever.

Just been offered a King.com branded version of Ludo on FGL for a sponsorship. wtf :)

Looks good, hope it all goes well and you get a lot of interest.. you're obviously quite a big name in the indie scene already.
Any chance the Closure demo will be available for play to others who weren't at PAX? ;)
Also, on a completely unrelated note.. my favourite sound clip of all time. That's Tim Roth in Reservoir Dogs, the quality is awful though.
Sup, bitches :)

What is ludo? If I recall correctly king.com has that awful ass dragon intro. Ugly as crap, but money is money. The more the monetization network of flash games develops the more disgusted I feel with the outcome, if I make another game in my life, I hope I can get newgrounds sponsorship, or kongregate, I think kong has a solid sponsorship program. As I say this though, no doubt I'd take a great offer from a site that wants to whore their name on my game. It's strange trying to combine a mix of creative gradification and financial gratification, but I suppose this is nothing new...so I digress...

Love that movie, love that clip, tarantino single handedly upholds my faith in movies.

Most likely no. It's too crashy for public viewing, and I only really got it running stably on my own OSX machine.
Got 3 hours of sleep last night. Was up till 3 AM finish the game demo. IT'S READY. and it's early. Cause the event opens to the media at 8:30

Some board game, im guessing they have king.com branded version or something. Do not want. Id love to get a game sponsored by NG, Tom said he really liked Penguinz but they werent looking for any sponsorships at that time, shame :( The kong sponsorships are great if your game does well though, Julians been talking to CandyStand.com abut Guinea Pop, apparently they are doing performane based sponsorships too.

Its fucking great how much attention youre getting for this, hope everything goes well! It must be a (hectic) dream come true being able to go to these big events and showing your games off! Wish I could make it to one of these things, maybe one year ill make the big journey overseas :)

Wait, maybe I misunderstood you? I thought this was your game?

Candystand made an offer for reskinning one of my games, as in buying the source and adding in their own graphics, it was a bad price for something like that too.

No no, they want to sponsor my game and offered a copy of their King.com Ludo board game as part of the sponsorship deal. I just thought it was random as hell, never had anything other than money. Sorry, i suck at explanations :P
Has anyone else had weird things offered as part of a sponsorship deal?!

lol wtf, hard to explain things that are as absurd as that... "here, have something that's literally worthless and we'll take something that's worth hundreds of dollars, woo" wat?

sex from luis a few times, maybe that wasn't for sponsorship tho >_>
Whoever asked whether or not CS4 works properly under Snow Leopard: CS3 does, so I can only assume CS4 does as well.

Wait - they offered you an online version of ludo?? that has got to be the weirdest offer.
Reading (or leeds if you're that way inclined)
Anyone else go? My camp was literally the closest tent to the pole the angry mob was trying to bring down (the one in green camp anyway). It got trampled on riot police. Unbelievably awesome weekend :D
Highlight: Seeing kings of leon storm off in a hissy fit.

Was awesome :3 I was camped right next to the stage area and there were 2 camps (red & blue) next to each other, I was kinda in the middle of them on a hill (don't ever camp on a hill, my friends are idiots).. On the sunday red & blue decided to have a food fight, red being on top of a hill so they had gravity on their side.. a lot of tents got covered in a lot of shit and eventually people started throwing coal, someone got hit in the face so everyone ceased fire.. kinda fun xD
I only went to see 1 headliner, Arctic Monkeys (and only because Prodigy were on before them).. I went to see Lostprophets (my friend is a big AFI fan >_> or at least he was when he was pissed) and Billy Talent (PURE SEX). Billy Talent + Anti-Flag were fucking awesome but I'm a huge fan of both so that might be why, but they both put on great shows. Arctic Monkeys were ok, they're great musicians but I don't like the music so much. The lead singer is amazingly cool, like the sort of cool you see in movies.. he kept just saying the world "leeds" and all the women started orgasming. He looked off his tits too :p
GOOD WEEKEND THOUGH.
Will probably go next year, depending on the line up.. this year it was a bit shit so if it's better than this year then I'll go. I didn't get very pissed either because I couldn't sleep more than 4-6 hours (stupid hills) so I wasn't in the mood to drink til afternoon and that was when good bands started D=
Oh yes, Prodigy were good. Someone set off a flare during "Firestarter", oh touché.
Sup, bitches :)

AND WHY DIDN'T YOU SEE RADIOHEAD >:(

I saw Prodigy at Download this year, all I could hear was people chanting "turn it up"! Shame, they blew my mind in 2006!
I find the general atmosphere at Reading to be pretty shitty, although ive never been to Leeds. It just doesnt seem to be about the music, at all. It sells out in like an hour every year, before the acts are even announced. I went last year to see ratm and had a great time, but compared to Download 99% of people are posing cunts looking for trouble rather than good music.
I was literally on the front barrier for prodigy (someone let out a flare there as well), so awesome :D Radiohead was the trippiest thing ever, it made me so happy, but I couldn't help having nerdy thoughts about how they could have used the 3D lighting array for so much more :P

I didn't get that impression, the atmosphere was awesome. Yes, a lot of the people went for the fun of it rather than listening to music, but that isn't a bad thing, I'd far rather spend a weekend with nice people with no music sense than people taking it too seriously.
