Up looks good but it looks more funny than emotional.
Without spoiling the end, why the crying?

Also Patu1, Idlewild have been around for fucking years they arent new!
UP! looks great, I can't wait to watch it as soon as it's out, June 11th.

I consider that teasing.

Gah, it's June 11th not 12th. Oh well. That's my brothers birthday so the number stuck in my head :)

If you hate teasing your gonna hate this TOY STORY 3 teaser. I had several nostalgasms whilst watching. Anyone noticed that all pixars new stuff is, or going to be 3D, if it catches on i don't think it'll be long before we see 3D tv as an common thing.

What I hate most about that teaser is that is takes a year (!!!!) before the movie actually comes out!

Idlewild's new? So what was I listening to before I went to University?
...
I think he meant new as in "new to me", implying "I have never heard of them before".
To join in on the conversation, Up does look great, but I probably won't see it. Movies are way to expensive, and I'm saving my money for a computer to do my flash (Macbook Pro like $2500). I can't spare the $30 to see a movie. ($10 for a ticket, $7.50 for a fucking large soda, popcorn is like $5, etc. It's outrageous)

Oh the horror... Why do so many people buy macs?
For less than 2000 dollars you can buy something that can run Crysis on 60 fps, open 100 firefox tabs, and make millions of calculations per second. Macs provide the worst price/performance ratio you could ever imagine. Just buy some 700 bucks laptop and install linux on it if you don't like windows.

Asus! :D
I'm not worried so much about running Crysis well on a laptop, I just installed a new 9800 nvidia video card and power supply on my desktop, and bought a 22 inch widescreen monitor, so that'll be for games. :D
Also, I've never tried a Mac, so why not XD. I need something for my flash and all the things. It'll probably be for school next year, as well.

I never understood the appeal of going out to restaurants. I can buy all the ingredients for that food, find a recipe online, and cook it myself for a fraction of the cost.

So why buy something that costs 2500 dollars? Any laptop above 350 bucks can handle flash with no problems whatsoever, so if you need something mobile just get a normal laptop and go to movies with extra large popcorn.

Indeed. I find they make some of the best motherboards on the market.

I smell a metaphor...
@Toast
I'm buying a $2000-$2500 laptop so I can handle a load of different applications at the same time, a nice big screen, and so things will go fast. For example, Flash, Photoshop, Internet w/ a bunch of tabs, iTunes, Messengers, Visual Basic for school next year, some word processor for school, etc. Also, my Flash (and related programs), files and whatnot are taking up a surprising amount of my harddrive, and with them off my desktop, maybe my games may go faster.
Right now my desktop, (3 gb RAM 400 gb hard drive 2.6 (?) ghz dual core) is getting sluggish. I've used about 75% of my hard drive so far with games and misc files.
BTW Suggestions please on the game below :D
I'm making a turret defense game with Sabatino, what kind of power ups would you guys like? We have stronger bullets, a temporary shield, V-Shot (upgrade: Piercing V-Shot), Double Gun, Cannon, (Upgrade: Stronger (Laser) Cannon)), and one "Atom Bomb" per round that destroys everything on the screen at the moment.
Those are very generic, does anyone have any suggestions?
Gameplay SS
Menu SS
Suggestions on any of the art, menu layout, or something? It's about 45% done at the moment.

Yes but it's nice to not have to cook, plus you get better food (assuming that the trained chefs are rather skilled as opposed to the average persons cooking talent). That has nothing to do with the difference between macs and pcs D=
Sup, bitches :)
I once went to a restaurant and ate frog. I doubt you can buy frog in a store.

I suggest clearing your HDD of crap (trust me, there's a lot you can delete. There's always stuff you don't need). Defragment, clear up the registry and history of programs you don't need it for (CCleaner is a good program). >: P Laptops are good for schoolwork, and although I'd never buy a Mac (they are overpriced and not as nice to use as windows/linux (well.. nicer than fedora >: /), they are pretty to look at and they do work.

I like defence games, but not so much this type (radial turret defence).. but I suggest having a lot of upgrades, allow people to upgrade everything.. but make sure there's a challenge (don't chuck upgrade points at them, make the upgrades count). Health, damage, rotate speed, extra turrets.. it's basic but people enjoy it. There isn't much original you can add to it, unless you wanted to completely change direction and make a totally unique game.

Technically far inferior when compared to an equally priced PC
ALOT of programs wont run on it
Next to no games will run on it
Very very minute advantages over a PC
Some people see apple as a much better brand then windows, and that's they're choice. I know how they feeling buying overpriced crap just because of the name on it. I guess people are dazzled by the flashy lights of an apple. Its definitely not for me though

Less functionality than a PC? If I wanted a computer to only word process, browse the internet and do flash/other design work, then I'd go with a Mac.. if I had to. I'd rather go for a PC because I prefer Windows as an operating system.

Because those two examples are completely analogous. I often spend several hundered pounds on a meal, and generally consume it over the course of a number of years, thus negating the time I would have saved by having someone else cook it.

Why pay the extra money just for internet browsing and flashing? The only good advantage I see in macs is that they are generally lighter than other notebooks. However with enough browsing, you could easily find a laptop with good portability that has better specs than an equivalently priced mac.

OH THE IRONY! Of going to a restaurant and ordering an apple, freshly washed by a cook for only 29.99$
. . . i am NOT taking this too literally >_>
here goes the whole mac vs PC thing again.
man i need a new comp. my current computer i got for 8-0 bucks and it has like 8 MB less then 1 Gb of RAM. now space is not really a problem, considering i still have a lot of space left, but when my computer starts up, it lags HORRIBLY.
it takes an hour to get all my programs up and running, and when they do, they lag. the anti-aliasing (which i refuse to turn off) will sometimes lag flash and make a direct line inbetween the lagged ending and wherever my mouse is ATM, and with firefox it takes 3 min to get from web page to web page IF IM LUCKY. or unless im viewing a web page with very little content like say a manga web page.
i want a computer that runs flash, gimp, FL studio 8, swift 3D, dreamweaver, google chromec(hella lots o tabs, cuz thats how i roll), windows live messenger, and skype. ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
my computer sucks.
Sig made by me
Once again i'm falling down a mountain like a metaphor
