Just played penguinz for the first time and it's surprisingly good, everything from the art to the coding.

Collab Idea
If you did a flash reg collab what would be interesting would be to draw and animate the entire thing through actionscript. Of course it would end up either all crap tweens, funky pixel blender effects or of course people spending mountains of time on good quality but really short animations.

You can draw decently in AS.

I thought it was ok to a certain degree. lemme explain.

it has that classic feel that the old computors had in their games where it was just words, and the only games were very poor graphic games or games like deliver that fulp, The whole theme of telling the story what to do is just cool. But those types of games are anouying becuase I suck at them in more ways than a vaccum can suck up crums. So it was a good game if you were good at those, but otherwise it wasn't much of a monthly thing. I'm guessing it was just becuase it directly related to an event of tom fulps that I'm sure was very touching, but I shouldn't jump to conclusion. Sorry if this post was too lengthy

Stuff like that. This right here is just another reason I liked the game.

Does anyone here know how to make something look like its done in pencil...in flash? I don't have a tablet (so no pressure sensitivity) and no photoshop. I am still using Flash 8 if that makes a difference.

Funnily enough I'm doing exactly this for a game but I'm actually writing on a piece of paper and scanning it in. And for the walls and stuff I trace over the lines and convert it all to a MC and make the alpha 0. But I don't know how to do it actually within flash.

text do you think you'll be writing?
If it's too much, don't scan it in. That'll be way too much work.

But it might be the best option,
if there isn't much work to it, go ahead and do it on paper.
But if there is you might be better off just finding an alternative. :3

Seriously, The Paranoia Conspiracy sounds like an awesome book/film. According to a quick Google there isn't anything named Paranoia Conspiracy yet, so I'm gonna get to work. Can you say "gap in the market"? Of course when you think about it it might not make sense - a conspiracy paranoia? Well of course paranoia is often the case with conspiracies as most conspiracies are just a load of crap, invented by.. well.. paranoid people. The thing is though, this book (MY BOOK) will be about a conspiracy to fill people with paranoia, thus making them more careful about their actions and thus completely changing the world. Possibly started by the US government to increase workflow, but eventually taking over by a secret organisation of big breasted aliens. It's going to be fantastic.
