Two decks. Decks are shuffled at the end of the hand. Dealer will never run out of cards seeing as the maximum number of players at a blackjack table is eight.

I got recreative casino trained in a summer job during Uni. I know how to run roulette, handle chips and run blackjack. I also play a bit of poker.

That's cool, do you play online or just with friends? I had this huge poker kick last year, got a few books and played a ton of low limit 9 person tournaments on pokerstars. I mostly stopped playing because the absurdity of low limit players made bad beats so much worse, and more frequent, to the point where it was too stressful to be fun.

I refuse to play online for that reason. I just play every once in a while with family and friends for chips, or on Puzzle Pirates where I throw 200 pieces into play and get annoyed with everyone going all in on a pair of twos...

That's probably smart, but I did go plus online at least, with pretty much sick nasty conservative play. People's strategies or lack there of vary so much that loose play is difficult to pull off, and even playing conservatively, you can't do anything if a pot bet isn't going to make someone fold an inside straight draw, or over cards, and then they hit. It's very different than playing irl to say the least, but that also means it's more of a challenge, or a different challenge, you should try it some time.

I play online poker at fulltilt.
There are different strategies to use at low limit tables... I make the final 3 on a 9 player table 3/4 of the time. I suggest going to www.tournamentindicatorforum.com to learn how to play online... It is different to live play.

lol...oh?

Do you really finish top three 75% of the time or is that just a guess? If you finish top three 75% of the time your ROI must be huge >_> I think I was up to about 60% top three before I stopped playing.

It was an estimation, probably exaggeration, but my ROI is higher at low limit tables... I'm a regular there :D

Low Limit online tables WITHOUT a tangible investment (like... say... on the MMO I play occasionally when I want to pretend to be a Pirate with a thing for Pentomenos, or on Facebook when I should be working) are boring. As I stated, people go all in on twos.

One game I played recently on the Facebook app was particularily indicative of this. A Top XX,000 player (or some such rubbish... proving how bad this shite is) was routinely buying himself in at the limit for the table and going all in *regardless of what his hand was*.

Now there is no defense against someone else's stupidity but your own in Poker - you either shut him up and stake your own stake that you have a much higher investment over on being better than his random draw (which only means you've got just as much chance of winning as him if you're reduced to going all in without strategy... and he'll just buy himself in next round regardless), or you fold, losing your blinds every few hands and watch everyone get bored, try the other strategy, and eventually go find a more fun table.

I don't gamble for real cash. Life's too short for me to put in extra hours to fund a gambling addiction.

Cool, too bad I'm on pokerstars or we could play a table or something. One day I might actually go through the trouble of getting accounts on multiple sites, see which one I like best.

It's not a gambling addiction unless you're losing money >_O

I used to play way too much but now I think it'll be nice to sit back every once in awhile and play a few games. I look at it the same as a video game, plus I slowly make some dollars, so it's better than a video game =]

Wacom Tilt Feature

So i've had a tablet for a year and in flash i never really bothered to find out what the tilt feature was. I've tried it and all, but i really don't notice a difference from lines when the pen is straight up to when the pen is tilted... can someone explain this bizzare tool to me? XD

and yes, i've googled it too, i didn't find any real explinations that provided any insight

You might have to use the brush tool, not sure. I have tried that function but it was a long time ago.

In flash I agree I can't tell any difference with it on or off, but if you use the tilt in a digital painting program I think the difference is much more obvious. The only thing I remember using it for was the airbrush, which if you tilt the pen the paint shoots out in the direction you're tilting it. Try it out in photoshop.

Ah, my favourite donkey tactic! Just wait till you have a decent hand and call him... think as it as a statistical in-probability of him winning... If you go all-in with better odds and not a coin flip and lose, there's nothing to worry about, you made the right choice at the right time, and 90% of the time you are going to win and you are profitable. Don't get annoyed by it, its the easiest way to get his chips!

OOOH!! that makes so much sense then :P Ok yeah i've been using the brush tool and yeah theres no difference really. There is no flash airbrush though so why would they need to include it in flash :P

*testing*

yeah thats cool :P

All you guys talking about Poker made me want to play so I went on Facebook Texas Hold Em and am currently owning a table with 8000 chips, I've gone up 2 ranks (I was at 1.. I only played once before and I didn't enjoy it). I'm gonna put it down to luck because I'm having the best of it, but it's fun.. only problem is having a luck streak like this makes you think you're good at poker, then you end up playing for real and losing your house :(

Sup, bitches :)

I played at full tilt for a while I went like +200 on a 50 input in a week or so, I final tabled 4 or 5 free rolls before that and won one. Online is totally different from real life, I find it way less enjoyable, we still play 10 buck buy in games occasionally but it's hard to get enough people to come for it to really be worth it and people get tired of losing money.

I'm cool now... Right guys?... Guys?

In flash set the swatches to one of the ones that isn't a circle, like the rectangle or the oval. You'll notice the tilt feature then.

Drawing a Detailed Colosseum

I'm making an extremely tall version of a colosseum for a movie i'm collabing with Duchednier for and am trying to make it look epic.
i've googled all the images, and could make up alot of random things to make it nice, but i want it to be better then nice, i want it to be amazing :P.
what are some things i should be sure to add (as far as detail goes)?

Since we already see the world in three dimensions, I started wearing 3-D glasses around so that I could see things in 6-D... The sixth dimension is blurry and discolored.

Colloseums
Probably a lot of work, but I think the top of the Arena should be lined with either the emperors, or if it's a non slaver arena, the greatest warriors. Lots of statues are always a plus. Also, lots of pillars too. And balconies so the arena kinda hugs the battlefield. that'd be cool.

Going snowboarding in Germany, it's indoors though (that's as good as it gets around here). Regardless, I've never snowboarding/skiing before and there's an all you can drink inclusive deal so I can drink away the pain. So yeah, I'm quite looking forward to that.
