All the people in my politics class had stayed up all night I laughed(I live in the UK). Its cool to have a democrat in charge, but it probably wont amount to much change, in terms of America's world wide policy. It seems mad how we all put up with such similar party's these days.

Have any of you played bm tron? Its fun, especially multilayer (on one computer). It would be cool if someone did an AS war based on something like this. It would of course be difficult to make computers players without random functions but the strategy could be interesting. The source code is available I think.

It makes sense if you think about it, i mean yes we pay more for oil and diamonds, but when they run out, we'll live. if we run out of water were fucked, and were seemingly getting there... >__>

LBP

I got LittleBigPlanet last night, only had time to play through the King's levels, but it's pretty cool. I've not had so much fun playing a platformer since the original Sonic games. Also hearing Stephen Fry explain everything is strangely entertaining and reassuring somehow.

Anyone else got it yet? Anyone found any good levels yet?

It's not just you who'll suffer, it's your mates too! Some of the story levels have sections only reachable with 2 Sackboys, so you'll have to rope in your friends to help you find those elusive final items. I'm not sure if story mode is limited to local multiplayer or not though (couldn't connect to PSN last night, I needed to install a system update), but if it is I'm gonna have to buy another controller. =(

I sure hope it's not limited to only local, I'd have to buy an extra controller as well... I think I've read somewhere that that functionality would come with an update (along picture uploading), I'm not sure though.

Yea, fresh water. But I'm sure by the time we do get there, theyll figure out a way to filter salt water and make it drinkable. I mean, if CNN can beam in holograms just for the election, I'm sure we'll come up with something.

Yer my mate got it yesterday too and i went round and played it for a couple of hours with him :P

Its awesome and a lot of fun although we didnt make any levels we got through quite a few going to the desert level were we ended up messing around and blowing shit up :P

of course we can make salty water drinkable. simplest way -> just heat the water and collect it when it evaporates without the salt.

Snow Day!

I have LBP but have been hesitant to play it due to all the news of broken server issues.

Fallout 3 has otherwise been a jolly jaunt. I am all over post-apocalypism like a hobo on a ham sandwich.

LBP servers seem to be fine now, only problem is when you get joined up with some asshole with a 56k modem. Playing with people on your friends list is lagless surprisenly!

I have all three consoles and I think the one I've been most disappointed in is the Wii, its great for a group of people to play but its sort of boring and sad to play alone most of the time.

I only got my ps3 a few days ago because I knew the games would take a while to come in since I've heard from programmers for EA and Ubisoft that is it is fact a bitch to program for.

I wanted to watch bluray movies and play littlebigplanet. So I put down the extra 100 or so instead of getting a bluray player alone.

I think the key point that pushed me to buy it was seeing lag in single player fable when it's rendering the trees and lighting. I knew the games to come would start becoming too powerful for the current 360.

PS. has fallout3 been as orgasmic as I've been told? Its next on the list right next to gears. :)

CHRISTMAS CREEP
Feeling holly jolly already? My local stores are now escalating the holidays to Christmas music in-store. I could somewhat tolerate the August Christmas store displays in my local crafts store (because I know there's grandparents who make things for Christmas for their kids and stuff) but local department stores are now blaring Christmas music.

I typically get sick of holidays approximately one month after Christmas arrives in stores. Looks like I am going to make it to December 6th this year!

God it was awful this year, there were Christmas ads at the end of summer, i mean, it wasn't a hot year this year, but surely they can hold off a little longer before they bankrupt us with their delightful goods :(.
