Oh god I love NewGrounds.
People whom are voting for Barack Obama are speculating on their decision, and suddenly rethinking about it after being drawn to the videos below. Tell me what you personally believe about the videos. Are they the truth, or maybe the truth bent to fit the proper belief that Barack Obama is a bad guy? Who knows. I personally don't know who to vote for, but whatever -- Watch the Videos Below.

meh those videos "aren't available" in my country. I really haven't heard much about Obama but I guess I would still vote for him, just because I think it's hard to be worse than McPalin. I've heard a lot of bad things about Mccain to begin with, but with palin it's just too much. I think this woman has serious problems in the head, if you haven't heard about all the retarded things she did in Alaska go read about it now.

Election day
This was on the front page of my paper today, it's from an ad campaign in NYC.

This just reinforces my suspicion that Obama is Carcetti from The Wire.
Still should be a whole heap better than Bush / McCain, though. I always hated those oven chips...
hello :>
I've been on the forums for a pretty long time now, never really bothered to check this thread out.
Probably gonna be here more often :D

Absentee voting FTW. I voted 2 weeks ago while sitting on my couch watching TV and eating something.

Yeah. My coworkers found it amusing as well.

Bad Lu. Exercise your democratic right to vote unless you have a good reason to abstain.
Anyway. While neither candidate is exactly perfect for the job, I feel that Obama has the air of presidentialness about him - the way with words, matter-of-factness of approach, the ability to capture the hearts and minds of the common man. I'm pretty sure a lot if it's scripted and crafted and polished, but as an outsider to the US, I'd feel better with the US being under Obama's control.
My understanding of the US political system is a bit shoddy. Anyone fancy giving me the cliff notes about how much control the Executive Branch of Federal Government has over State level government?
Also in political news, Proposition 8. Thoughts?

They don't have much power over the states other than the ability to withhold funding... which as it turns out states need, so the feds can have an iron grasp on the states by doing stuff like "If your drinking age is under 21 we won't give you funds for roads" (true fact).
Dude I got a Dell
and its a piece of shit...
<rant>
My hard drive just crashed on my Dell 1400 Vostro laptop. It was working fine at school today, and when I got home the thing would hang when I started it up. I noticed it ran fine in safe mode, so the first thing I did was disable all the start up programs. After doing this I restarted it and then it hung at the welcome screen for 20 minutes. I unplugged the battery and loaded it in safe mode again and did a disk check, and I noticed that the whole hard drive was utterly fucked up. But this isn't the only problem I had with Dell.
Just 5 weeks ago I had to send the piece of shit back to Dell to fix the screen, which was only showing half the pixels. I was told it would take 1 week to fix. Two weeks later I got a call saying that they got the computer at wherever they fix them and was told that it would be sent back using 2-day shipping through DHL. Well DHL decided that 2-day shipping meant 5 day shipping and I finally got my computer back 3 weeks after I sent it away.
The moral of the story is : Don't buy a Dell. Their computers are SHIT
</rant>
Since I need the laptop for AP CS at school, I don't have a clue what to do. Do I send it to Dell and hope that this time they fix it and send it back within the time frame, or do I try and fix it myself. (I don't even know if this is possible)
Any ideas?
Ugh, I'm sick of it. Today at school everyone was saying stuff against Obama. Which is fine, people have their own opinions, they can express it, but they are dumbasses about it.
For example they are like:
"O TO THE MFG OBAMA RHYMES WITH OSAMA, HE MUST BE A TERRORIST!"
"Obama supports abortion so hes like the next hitler!" (Yeah, someone really said that)
"Obama is a muslim so he must be a terrorist!"
"Terrorists support Obama so he must be a terrorist!"
and more stupid stuff including Obama being a terrorist.
Some more stupid stuff that people were saying were people for Obama who had no idea why. They were just voting for him because everyone else was. (We have a kid vote.) You could say:
"So, Obama supports keeping the troops in Iraq, do you agree with that?" and they would say yes, even though thats McCain's politics.
I dunno, it just kinda pissed me off.

If your screen is fucked up, and your hard drive failed, theres only really one thing linking the two... i'm guessing the laptop received some sort of shock while it was on (meaning, while the hard drive was spinning). The same shock fucked up your screen.
You drop it or something? Or maybe it was in a backpack and you were lying on it?
We finally makes an intelligent decision! Gobama! Go America!

I have no clue what happened. If I dropped it wouldn't you think both would have happened at the same time. Maybe I should get a case...

Dell have very professional service and they are among the best computer sellers in the world. It's probably just bad luck or because you're a noob. If you constantly have problems with pre-built computers maybe you should build one yourself
yea, today was a pretty bad day to post a http://dadasddadasdadasdddddd.ytmnd.com/

It passed too.
I've seen people suffer at the ends of their lives and it's horrible to watch and horrible for them to live through, and a huge drain on money for the rest of the family.
Election's over.
Back to commercial advertising. No more political smear campaigns.
California Prop 1a, the approval of a high speed train, is on it's way to victory. Sweet ridiculously fast 230mph train, success.
Ridiculously fast trains == best ballot proposition ever. EVERYONE WINS.
Hi there!
