Seeing as how you state "use" rather than "create". Chad has used classes in all the games we've made (as far as i know) his own sound class, the conversation class.

well, i know how to create one, but i can't think of any real situation where i'd need to make and use one.

as for the sound class, why? just to show you can make one? or is it better than the Sound class flash came with?

Again, I'll use Chad as reference. His Mathlite class (as he stated in his own thread) ran every mathematical operation much faster than the flash inbuilt Math class. So, I assume the sound class would be much faster than the flash inbuilt one. I have a little book that expands on classes, I'll scan it up for ya someday (when i go to my sis', I don't have a scanner).

It would be much cleaner to add the classes (or even functions) on separate *.as files on the same folder, and then just import them to the real flash file. Don't you think? Making your *.fla file much cleanier and with less code.
