Online translators suck. when it came to the Quebec club, it was mostly slang where translators couldnt pick it up, and it's still a hard chore to have to ask every post to be translated just to make sure it isnt racial, hateful, or breaking the rules. I am sorry, but isn't fair to all the mods, and we can't just mod a person who speaks so an so language everytime a new club is made.
this should be understandable. Warnings were given out, and the club decided to ignore all the mods. So we were forced to do what had to be done.

Not exactly. A cultural topic can still be discussed without the need to change languages. It's all about what you say rather than how. Go crazy, celebrate your individuality, just do it in the common English language that the forum was built around and moderated by.

The Swedish People Club was a 103 pages long it kind of sucks to have it locked - especially since we could've simply continued to write in English. Hell, that could've even opened up the club for non-Swedish, Swedish-lovers =P

You can always make another if you keep it english. Which will be the same thing anyways, just in a new topic, so hardly any harm is done, considering the swedish club wasn't deleted.

If anyone feels so strongely against this, there are plenty of forums outside of NG where you can speak another language in, where mods can understand perfectly whats going on, rather than in an english site with english staff/mods/etc, who can't moderate it properly due to the barriers.

If Newgrounds gets sued or something, that's a big problem.

I also think Wade needs to start dealing with the portal corruption problem, with the 80 flash crap series that gets passed. I feel that puts Newgrounds in danger also as the portal can become like the BBS sooner that people think.

I think its a good idea. When speaking to a foreign person in your own country, you expect them to speak english to you.. why isnt it the same on here?? there is nothing racist, prejudice about any of it.

regarding the clubs, any culture is allowed to make a club, as long as it is kept english, and considering if they are on this site, they must know english or it is pointless to be here.
we just need it to be in a language we can all understand so the mods can do their job, rather than just wishful hoping no one is breaking the rules in another language.
So if you find your club to be locked which was a cultural topic, you CAN make another, just please keep it in english; the reason the others were to be locked is for new users or users who havent seen this, who will continue doing so.
