I think this is fair. When people come from another country to a school that speaks english the foreigners have to learn english or they can't learn anything and the whole school isn't going to learn to speak that person's language just for them. I doubt it will hurt anyone. They might get annoyed, but they aren't going to cry. Also wade if someone can't speak english how are they going to know about this rule?

I know exactly why this "sudden" change happened ... The Quebec Club . However , it is not fair to lump ALL the International users into this mess and make them pay for it because a few stuck-up Quebecois club members decided to take advantage of things and fuck it all up . You couldn't be any farther from the truth from where you are right now because you are assuming that by not speaking a certain language ( that language being English , in this case ) a certain individual is incapable of perfoming a simple task of clicking on a navigation bar and few more buttons and then type something . Just because someone doesn't speak the language doesn't mean he's mentally disabled ... he might not know what's going on but he can sure guess a few things .

Look, the Quebec Club situation isn't implying everyone will abuse their knowledge of another language, it was just proof that mods can't moderate something in a foreign language, and for all we know, things like that could be slipping by us.

I hate these threads. And not because they affect me, but because everyone takes it way to out of proportion.

Refer to Wade's previous thread "It Ends Now." That was an example of overreacting when Wade admitted that he doesn't want to see so much shit topics. But people were soon trying to think of ways to make the forum better.

This is what's happening again. I'm sure no one will read this post, but just try and think clearly before you start going off the tangent and accusing Wade, the mods, and anyone else that the forums are going to hell in a handbasket.

I wrote BobTheFish a pm explaining what happened, which makes me believe he isn't a "traitor", being that i was contacting on the posts that offended him and michelle. I didnt have to be present, he still would have backed up michelle, considering they both felt strongely about it. I was just asked to look into it as mod back up. People have been speaking in foreign languages here for years and it's not like NG is dealing with anything new here ... there has been the South African Club , Portuguese , Swede ( just to name a few of the Clubs who use foreign languages) and no problems stemmed from these clubs and now they're not allowed to exist !

If we can't understand what they are saying, how do we know there isn't a problem? Or wasn't a problem? We have no clue what's being said, and we're not comfortable with that! To be honest, I had no clue there were so many non-english speaking topics going on. NG is a big place, and things can go on for some time before our attention is brought to them.

they are all allowed to be remade , but in english so we can moderate them. Simple as that, nothing you say can change that now. All threads must be able to be looked at and moderated equally.

I dont understand how foreigners would be offended that a site were 99.9% of the users speak english, require only english. I mean if they are using a translater (which is the only way I know of a non english person communicating on this forum) then they can use it to speak.
