I have a pretty broad way of voting.. I don't vote with just 0 or 5.. I would say I vote across the board. But I do understand why people vote 0 alot. When you hold the mouse over 0 it says "BLAM this piece of CRAP" well if the flash is crap your gonna vote 0. It doesn't say anything like This is malicious overly pornographic or anything like that.
So what one person views as crap might be really good to someone else. I think thats where alot of people get confused and vote zero. Also not everyone comes here to the boards.. I've been a member for close to 4 years and I didn't start coming into the message board until about 3 days ago.. So if your gonna announce something like this you should put it on the front page...

People are using 0 and 1 far to frequently. 0 is there for one reason, a submission is stolen, offensive, malicious, or complete and utter crap that you know the submitter just threw together to submit something. It's not for "Oh, I didn't really like this, it's not my thing". That is a 2, and maybe a 1 if it's poorly done. We need people to vote more responsibly. Newgrounds need it's submitters, otherwise we wouldn't have any new content to watch! So that being said we have to respect the contributors and support them! If you come across a movie that you don't like, but you know they made an effort and others might enjoy it, vote 2! If you do like it, vote 3, 4, or 5 depending on how much you like it and how well you thought it was put together!
but giving the submission a 2 will allow it to pass through the portal if it isnt good. we have to vote 0-1. ya no? it only works that way, so warning rnt really right way of dealing. we gotta fix the voting system.

But, when movies or games are 'Under Judgement' We can BLAM it or PROTECT it, rigth? Well, Wade was saying that if we don't like the entry, vote 2! But 2 is already protecting the entry, rigth? I think that when movie are under judgement, 0, 1 and 2 will blam it, 3, 4 and 5 will protect it.
Voting zero and 1 is basically our weapon to remove content from the portal, as you all know. So, logically, if we want a particular author to try harder, then we blam his movies or vote 1 on his movies if we don't think he gave them any effort. I see a lot of movies that look like utter shit, but they are protected somehow because people are too ecstatic about voting "5", or fifening a movie. I think there should be equally as harsh restrictions on voting 5 as there are on voting 0.

I'm new to newgrounds but i belive the 1-5 voting setup is the best.
It gives you a wide range of personality and I like to vote big but some of the films are a load of crap

that question has always been in my mind, i have alway's heard people vote 0 on awsome flash movies. that's strange and it's still is (yeah, my grammar sucks i know)
