Thats Metalcore...

Metal + Hardcore = Metal(hard)core.
Hmm I've always seen bands like:
Throwdown
Sword Enemy
Madball
Hatebreed
...etc etc as 'Hardcore' just by itself and considered Metalcore bands to be similar to
'As I Lay Dying'.
For more than 3 days I'm trying to understand that post but I still don't... some explanetion would be welcome :)

mwa never mind, but I checked out Sworn Enemy and Throwdown they're awesome bands also I got in this moring
A perfect murder - Unbroken
Turmion Kätilöt - Hoitovirhe, truly check this band out it's awesome and the lyrics are fun
and I finnaly got in All Shall Perish - Hate.Malice.Revenge after almost 4 to 5 times ordering it...

What do you all think is this one better than FOE?

i got the same thing. I was surprised they had soo many videos. But you can see the revolution of metallica. Thrash, hard rock band to a band that wears eye liner and sing reagular rock. Then back to hard rock

Yeah the Until It Sleeps video was so different to any of there other ones. had a kind of gothic feel to it.

i got the coolest english teacher. See sent an E-mail to the band Silent Civilian asking them if they play a show in Philly whats about 45 mins. from our school. They sent an e-mail back asking where they could play and see sent them the contact info to this Cafe in Allentown what is maybe 30 mins from our school. This cafe is more like a small concert hall and pretty big bands play there like Mastodon will be coming soon and Killswitch and Hatebreed just played a show there. I think it is awesome that my teacher got one of my Favorite bands to come to town

This one band ive been listening to lately is Destroy the Runner. They are really good. The riffs are all simaliar but they all kickass. They don't focus on the chorous like many bands do, but when they do sing it is pretty good. The dude who sings the chorous sounds a little girly but not that band. Their most popular song is My Darkness but my favorite is The Aleph. Check them out

This topic needs to be alive again. I have been listening to alot of hardcore and grindcore recently. Also destroy the runner is pretty good.

Destroy the Runner gets a lot of shit because people say they sound a like As I lay dying. And that they copy their riffs and everything. I dont know why As I lay dying fans are complaining. I think it would be awesome if a band tried to sound like Godsmack. I cant get enough of my favorite bands and try to find simaliar artist. That is the one good thing about metalcore, many bands sound very simaliar

I Saw this band http://www.myspace.com/sparkisadiamond on Saturday. They were really good and I bought their EP. Also the band http://www.myspace.com/watchingtigersdie. They were also very good and I got their album. I thought I would give them a shout out. Also the new Mnemic CD is amazing. It is called Passenger and I thought it was going to be shitty but with the new CD it is just as heavy. It is very catchy at points also.
