Most of them have died off, which, despite the inactivity it causes us, is a good thing. There's still a few lone spammers and loose nets of old groups, but not many of them. Over time, new spam groups will rise up, drive people crazy, and then die. It is the circle of life. Er, the Portal. I just hope the next major spam group is more original and funny than the last ones.

I'm using 3.0.6, and it didn't load properly (kept giving me slow script errors) until I did as the author comments suggest and turned off ad-block. Once I did, it ran fine.

Yeah that game is pretty awesome. I had the honour of aiding it through the portal with a much deserved five. I also added it to my favourites.

I'm glad the spam is dying, but I would enjoy a portal like in the old days. With lots of good and funny submissions but also with the noobs which can be blammed. I seem to remember in the old days there were just so many crappy submissions to blam under judgment at all times. *sigh* those were the days.

Thanks for pointing that out, Slash - I wouldn't have noticed until I hit this game again in the future, so I got an advanced warning by about 5 hours :P

It's a really genius system, so that even on one computer, you can have a number of saved games - 1 for each account. If my girlfriend gets into one particular game, she can log in with her own account and save medals to that now, so it's cool.

Damn, the Kitty Litter bonus is hard to get. One little mistake and you don't get the medal. :'(

After about a dozen tries, I managed to juggle-kill the first group into a corner and keep them there (netting a 69-hit combo, lulz), and use all of my bombs to kill BigFuzzyKitten and then picked off his buddies veeeery carefully. It's a lot easier if you don't use Tom, since he's damn slow and only starts out with two bombs. liljim is my new favorite character.

Granted, he's the only one I've unlocked, but still.

I just run around BFK and let him bomb himself to death, plus some of the adds if you get the chance. Maybe I'll have a go with Dan and try to complete it this way.

Thank you Microsoft for inspiring a system that adds tremendous replay value to games. I bet the game Achievement Unlocked will use the medal system for it as well. We'll see what happens with it but I only see good things out of this.

The Portal Defenders game is hard, I have only got 8/21 medals, while most have at least 12 or something, but Stamper and Jeff are just impossible.

Anyway, I just got promoted to Staff Sergeant, so thats 2 promotions in a month :D

they are not that hard... XD
you just have to start attacking hard, the more you attack (and i mean be constant, give them no time to breath) the less they can attack you...
it helps when you make them be together and hit both...
but if stampers convert on a balloon, well haven't defeat them when that happens... is like double hard

Thanks for the link The game Portal Defenders is really good fun the controls are easy and I love the baddies you fight I found that using Dan Paldin is the easiest he seem to be faster. I managed to defeat BigFuzzyKitten and get to PyschoGoldFish which I beaten and I got the P-Bot mini game gotta love P-Bot then I dead after wave 3. The game is not that easy when it comes to health points they seem to be few and far between. Maybe a save feature I did unlock a few things. But I suck so far at this game but then I have only played it a few times and for shorts periods. Luis really makes some cool games. Also got 7.00 voting power gotta go play the game again and maybe write a review for it.

I know that I'm not a member, but to help out in the war against stolen Flashes I'm going to start mentioning them in here. If this is against any of the rules or guidelines of the club, then just say so.

I don't know if this is allowed or not. But that was a good catch thanks! you'll have to wait until someone higher ranking comes along to judge whether or not this is allowed, if not rest assured that I check the NGPD thread from time to time.

Of course it's allowed. In fact, it's encouraged for any member of the NGPD or EGB to post information on suspected stolen flash in both threads, and even Newgrounders who aren't members of their can post if they've got proof.

Did I miss anything while I was gone? I've already seen the achievements system, it's great! It would be funny to see that feature in Achievement Unlocked.

And I'm still trying to kill Wadolf on that game (well, actually I only tried it once). But it's really funny and easy to play, it will probably get a monthly award.

Coop stalked the wilderness of the portal, growing weary of the continued attacks of the aberrations on this once bright and prosperous land. Some of the spammers were growing in power and were allowing their evil minions to take more bold steps within the portal. As always, his vocation here had been to protect the needy with his righteous shield, passing on the power of his wings to guide them to safety, while destroying anything of ill omen.

The collections, which had grown out of the portal had spawned mirror likenesses in the portal - a place where dark mirrors of the worthy submissions could infiltrate and corrupt the minds of those less stoic than himself. As he walked past a window into the world of the Tankmen, he felt a shudder pass down his spine. That world always looked too much like the portal and it made it difficult to judge properly. A hint of movement caught his eye. Suddenly, the grip on the axe handle tightened, as the visage of Steve the Tankman stepped through into the portal. Coop calmly, but without lowering his axe watched, as the effigy stepped through into his territory.

From his cerebral implant, Coop noted the information gleamed from this submission - TANKMEN 4, created by J0hnnyUtah. It was probably not what we wanted on Newgrounds. Calmly, he walked towards it, not brandishing the axe menacingly, but not letting his guard down, either.

"You there, state your business." The lightning flashing in the sky only served to make him even more menacing. The Tankman turned to Coop and regarded him for the first time, quizzically.

"Cock... Joke?" It said, hopefully. Subconsciously, Coop's grip tightened on the handle of his axe.

"So you've seen Tankmen then. Ever used Pythagoras?" No emotion was shown by Coop, as he readied himself mentally for what was to come. The left eye of the Tankman twitched visibly and in one fluid movement, the arms liquefied, a thick black goo turning them into elongated penises. The eyes started to swirl and ethereal lights started flashing in repeating patterns of different colours. It started to reach out for Coop, desperate for the voting power that he possessed.

As swiftly as the flash had changed, Coop stepped forward and delivered a kick to the chest of the Tankman, sending it sprawling, the noise of the scream drowning itself in the static of poor audio work. He bounded across to the figure, batting aside one of the cock-arms with the axe.

"You will leave this place." Coop hauled it up to eye level, ignoring the flashing lights and the deafening noise. "You may not enter while I still draw breath!" The screaming stopped and the flashing lights slowed.

"But you're just one man. What can one man possibly do?"

"You've just asked the dumbest and last question of your life." Coop dropped the Tankman effigy to the ground and shouldered his axe. As a few drops of rain started to fall, Coop brought his axe down in a neat blow, removing the Tankman's head from its shoulders, neatly. "This, is what one man can do." As the effigy faded into the obituaries, Coop looked to the sky, as a giant bipedal robot flew overhead. Leaving his axe on the ground a moment, he saluted the giant bot. The radio on his belt crackled into life, with the familiar Speakonia sounding voice of P-Bot.

"20,000 Blams and still counting. When are you going to retire?"

"Not yet. I've still got a job to do down here."

"Just remember, you're mortal. They might become too much for you one day."

"Ah, but that day is not today. Nor is it tomorrow!" Coop shouldered his axe and trudged off through the portal, still surveying the wasteland and trying to figure how to make it better.
