Well, Portuguese (what they speak in Brazil) is basically Spanish, but with a slight change in pronunciation, which leads to a slight change in spelling

Getting thrown into the lake like that really makes you have to learn how to swim. You can kind of see how other people do it, and if you can't do the Butterfly, you can swim well enough to get by.
I really want to continue in Spanish, just so that I can go to other countries and not look like an ignorant tourist. In fact, I had to use some Spanish last year when I was working for Subway. A mom (older; 50's give or take) and a daughter (late 20's-early30's) came in. The mom apparently didn't know any English, because the daughter was making all of the orders, and asking what she wanted. But when the daughter got caught up with my co-worker on her order, I had to use my relatively basic Spanish knowledge to ask for her order. I apologized to start since my Spanish was "muy mal", but she knew I was trying my best to talk to her, and I could tell she was appreciating it.
