Well, looking at the B/P ranks 51+ thread, we've just had out job made easier - the admins have locked the account known as icean, as it was suspected to have been a voting bot, which only voted for saves.
Now that this one is out of the way, there's one less jerk in the portal voting 5 on everything, so maybe some more 'grey' stuff can get blammed and we can restore parity to the portal.

I heard about that one as well, at first I thought it's the result of all those voting-enhancing drugs but then again even Afro couldn't catch up to him despite those drugs

I second that opinion. It's bad enough we have "crews" and groups upvoting their own crud - we didn't need to be fighting something that never sleeps. I just wonder if the person(s) who 'botted Icean may take affront to being shut down, and let loose the 'bot on more/multiple accounts? If the accounts are low-level, they won't show up in the top-300 ranking - but cumulative, they could still push the crud through.
Is there any utility at NG that can scan ALL accounts for daily/weekly blam / saves and generate a list of those (regardless of level) that seem to be abnormally high all saves or all blams? It may be a tool Wade or Tom could use to detect more voting abuse at an early stage.

Well, I don't think there is a tool that works like a scanner, otherwise icean would have been banned before. But I think there are logs that the admins can use to know how you've been voting, because of this thread made back in 2003.

Yes, I've been patrolling the portal today and I've found more abusive reviews than usual (well, the amount must be the same, they are just easier to find). Abusive reviews can usually be found in submissions that have passed judgment with a low score, before when Rage's thread was active this reviews got deleted almost instantly because they got flagged faster. Anyway, I don't think this is a problem. Eventually all abusive reviews will be deleted, and if they aren't, then there will be more review mods.

They actually only do that on rare occasions. Like the time the DD stole Daily 1st, they did it then, but most of them actually DOWNvote their shit after the savewhores pass it, so they can steal Turd and attention whore even more than a 12-year-old idiot on General. At least, as far as I know. They mostly deny upvoting it (though they admit to downvoting for Turd).

I think he'd be smarter than that. At least I'd HOPE he'd be smarter than that, since that would just get any and all of his accounts locked or deleted, and maybe his IP, or even his MAC (which is much harder to change without breaking the ISP's TOS), banned from the site.

Anyway noticed some Kitty Krew flashes today, odd seeing them these days. There founder Kes or aka BigFuzzyKitten, is actually a very good flash animator, if you see his latest flash on the front page. Its a funny game a very obese Mario platform game. Kitty Krew made some funny flashes spam but some of it was good.

They did have some funny and/or well animated stuff. They just chose to spam the portal, and then occasionally release a funny flash. Once they started doing that, I hoped that they would become this generation's Clock Crew.
But alas, they were disbanded/destroyed/banned. But I guess now they'll have a comeback tour.

Hey, SoulMaster71, I have a hosting company that I use for many accounts and clients. They have a deal that if you register a domain with them, you get "free" web hosting (there are some ad-based hooks, though). Anyway, you can check them out here:
They have both Windows and Linux servers, and I have run PHP, Perl, MySql etc. with no problems. They've been around for a while, and they're pretty solid. Also, if you choose, you can get a decent, cheap economy hosting package for less than $50 a year, which would eliminate all the ad management and give a lot more elbow room for your work. Just an idea - let me know how it works for you, ok? Good luck!

Well, my free host came back up (must have just been down for maintenance), but if it ever annoys me with failure again your host is next in line. Especially if I have enough money by then to upgrade to paid hosting, since right now I'm kinda broke. I just don't want to have to have any ads on my site- at least not any ones that aren't making me money personally.

As far as I know it can't be marked for administrative review because there isn't the option to blow the whistle on it (from what I see). I don't think Mods have the authority to check it out so is the only other option to E-mail Wade?
I'd rather not do that if there is another option. The specifics of this are vague to me since I really haven't dealt with too many submissions passing judgement.

On one hand, work has slowed down and things could be busier, but on the other hand, I've had more "free" time to patrol NG and do my duty. Also, since I have been stressing over the work (or lack of it) I haven't been sleeping much, so I'm up in the middle of the night, and this place is almost like therapy. At least I feel I can accomplish something and contribute to a good cause.

I know what you mean. Right now my "job" is nearing completion. We had our first 2 trials yesterday for the Mock Trial Competition, with my side (the Defense) beating a very bad team whilst performing only slightly better. The second round which my team's plaintiff went lost in a bullshit victory for possibly our arch-rivals (we don't know who we face until possibly after the trial). Our Plaintiff was excellent, although a the lawyers were a tad bland but effective. The witnesses were awesome. They had terrible witnesses but the best lawyers I've seen besides the one that coaches our team.
Also, since I have been stressing over the work (or lack of it) I haven't been sleeping much, so I'm up in the middle of the night, and this place is almost like therapy.
This place is really just a time sink and a stress reliever. Go on, relax, talk to some friends, watch a few funny movies, play a couple of games, and your good to go.

I know exactly who that is. He used to be a KK member, even once became a mod there (and promptly wordfiltered every letter of the alphabet to a picture of May from Pokémon). The guy's a rule-breaker, no doubt about it. I can see him doing something like that, stealing a Flash from SA.
