I've found some ways of reducing the amount of characters used on the list, an explanation of which will follow at a later time, if anybody's actually interested, that is.

Congratulations to Joshiwa on his fantastic 20 weeks in a row in the top 5 gainers, which has sadly now come to an end, due to him deciding to take a little break from NG. I don't think anybody will be beating that record anytime soon though. At any rate, I'm sure he'll be back before we can say 'Supreme Commander'.

How that was a close one between both you and me, but it's a shame because we both had relatively low gains. Oh, I'm going to miss seeing Metal's massive gains week in and week out. Sorry to tell you guys though that I plan on gaining just like Metal as soon as it turns August 23rd. I will have faster internet and twice as much time on my hands. To gain around 100 B/P a day. This should help me get on the top 300 list also. I'm almost sure I will make that list after a week of being at college. Then for the months to go I should be able to work myself up pretty fast since from now on I won't be leaving college. Summer classes for me, but I still might be underestimating my job just like Metal was. The only difference is my job hours will be as half as long as his and the job that I may have should be sitting at a desk with a computer. Hopefully they haven't blocked newgrounds. I will have to look for ways around it if they did. I guess we will just have to see because I don't really know how it will effect me. For most of the time last year in college I was getting around 130 B/P a day, but things may be different this year. All I know is it will be more then I had during this summer.

Well, as predicted my pace went to shit as soon as I started work. BUT, it really has been a blessing that my b/p rivals around me have seemed to also slow down themselves! Passing Mendou was a huge surprise, I really thought I had no chance in hell once work started.

A slacking week here. Before, about 3 used to get in the top 5 in the week. Now all four are slacking. MT managed to pass Mendou, but they weren't very far from each other, anyway. aldlv is falling behind, he needs to catch up otherwise he will never get to the top.

We've had closer. I think it was Shanus and Mendou who were 1 point apart on the top gainers list about a month ago. That was pretty cool to see when I was putting the roster together.

It was mostly to do with the HTML tagging that was being used. When I mapped out and wrote the text file for the roster, I entered all the HTML in at the shorthand tags, which would have been fine pre-redesign, as all the HTML in common usage on the BBS was (with < > tags instead of ' ', so it shows up in this post) 'b' '/b' for bold, 'u' '/u' for underlined, etc etc.

The problem was, post-redesign, they changed the standard HTML tags, so it was 'strong' '/strong' for bold. Somewhere along the line, the original 'b' tags got changed to 'strong' tags, which ate up a fair amount of space -- 8 characters per line, to be exact. Doesn't sound much, but add it all up and it cost me nearly 400 characters on the list alone.

It's all sorted now, and there's enough space to add a load more recruits. I'm still leaving the Guardsmen out for now though, because in all fairness, they aren't full members, and they don't really post here a whole lot or comment on the roster. None of them even seemed to notice that they've been removed from the roster for a whole week already, so I'm sure they'll be fine with it.

Yeah, I could have been a top gainer if it wasn't from the little break thing.

Yeah, it's been a slow week for everyone by the looks of it, but most of our regular top gainers have slackened their pace. Fuck knows how I managed to be the top gainer for this week. This is only the second time I've been at the very top of the top 5 list, but the last time it was with a significantly higher pace.

Thank you for the roster NEVR you got alot of b/p/. So how do you get so much points?, do you sit by the portal all day?. I remember this one user who spend 14 hours ,on it thats crazy. I check now and then but i dont spend all day, so thats why i guess my b/p slow. Obviously i deposit and i do look at new flashes, its so slow geting to the next badge. Mine over 300 points. My strong points is the abusive review. Well i cant belive its nearly clockday, i remmber lasy year. Its only seems lke yesterday the years gone so fast. Salutes!

A slacking week here. Before, about 3 used to get in the top 5 in the week. Now all four are slacking. MT managed to pass Mendou, but they weren't very far from each other, anyway. aldlv is falling behind, he needs to catch up otherwise he will never get to the top.

I am on some club... so, i am getting really late to my house

but.. maybe in a couple of weeks a get more time...
but i have to say that... having less than 100 b/p... that hurts
never in a year, until now

LOL, maybe 6 months ago I'd have the time to do that, but these days I just go on NG between doing everything else that has to be sorted out in my life. Evenings usually yield a bit more time if I'm at home, too, but ultimately it's pretty rare that I'll get a whole day to dedicate to NG. Even if I did, I'd need some breaks. Spending a whole day doing one thing is frankly a bit much for me. ;P

I've found that 1 check per hour can often be enough, so long as you vote an all the under judgment submissions available when you're doing a check.

Obviously i deposit and i do look at new flashes, its so slow geting to the next badge. Mine over 300 points.

I still have around 350 to get to my next badge, which should take me a week, or just over, depending on my pace. The gap between each badge for me is 2,000 B/P, which takes a while.

After getting the next 350 points and hitting my next rank, I'll be on the last 2,000 point gap, and after that I'll be onto the 4,500 gap to Supreme Commander. That'll be a massive one to get through.

It's a LOL to see 323 being the highest gain for the week. especially when last week, I was the LOWEST on the top 5 gainers list with a weekly gain of 410.
